we enjoyed our stay. the service was exceptional and the staff was friendly.the amenities was great and location was beautiful with our own privite beach and beautiful sunset. a great place to relax.

Our second stay, but not as good as 4 years ago. The hotel is begining to look tired and badly needs updating. We moved room twice, once because we had very noisy neighbours and the interconnecting room door provided no protection; second time the room was very smelly. 3rd room was great. Over priced for what it is (an average motel). Coakroach in the room, room not cleaned, food is average at best, the food at the beach bar is awfull, kids buffet is outside in the sun .....I would recommand a visit from Health and Safety there ! Ah yeah, high tide forget the beach as the beach is so thin, at low tide don t even think about swimming […] (rocks everywhere ...) . For our last day, the pool turned all green. + Amazing beach, one of the best in Asia Beautiful grounds and pool Family friendly - Food options limited to Andaman and potentially the Datai( although they were most unwelcoming when we tried to go there for dinner) so no cheap options Cant use the room balcony/open the doors as Monkeys come in.

We booked the Andaman not direct via Hotels.com, the trip was our honeymoon, I wanted make sure it will be the great time for us. I contacted to the Andaman for the propose of our stay. The Andaman welcoming us with sparkling wine and sweet. It was lovely. While our stay, the room was maintained well. The facility also good. Wish we could have higher […] room, as the reservation status of the Hotels.com saying we should have some forest and ocean view with the extended balcony. Perhaps it was the busiest season or...we didn't book the room directly to the Andaman. Someones review, the food is over price, maybe it is true as the Andaman is far from everywhere in the Lankawi island. It was almost no choice of the other way to eat while we are at Hotel. The pricing was same as when we eat out in Tokyo or more expensive. It was a bit shame as Malaysia should be much much more cheaper to eat out include cosidering the services. We had a nice 2 night stay at The Andaman hotel, Langkowi. The best thing about the hotel is the lovely setting where jungle meets beach in NW Langkowi. The beach is beautiful and clean (a rarity in Malaysia) and the service good. The weaknesses is that there is little sound insulation so the noisy neighbours kept us up at night in our room. What was good was being in the jungle and seeing monkeys, birds, etc. Also sea kayaking was good in the Detai Bay in front of hotel. Overall expensive but very nice. Læs mere

If you are travelling with a young family, then this hotel is perfect as has a large pool area set up for kids, a large beach with a 'shallow' sea and lots of space. However, the hotel is tired and needs investment (which it should get given the price of the rooms) and the service tries hard and is 'ok' at best. The management is very good and responsive […] to your needs and any 'difficulties' you may have. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded hotel which is "luxury" there are better options available and this hotel is 4* at best and equivalent to an 'older' SPG brand hotel. Læs mere

This is a great resort but expect to spend most of your time at the resort due to the location.

Datai Bay is a great place to escape and unwind, beautiful secluded spot surrounded by rainforests. Only 1 other resort and a golf course nearby. No shopping areas or restaurant strip, so plan to eat at hotel. Nice beach and kayaking. Quiet and away from the crowds. We stayed as a couple for 3 nights in September and this hotel really did meet all our expectations. Despite reading many good reviews we have previously learned to lower our expectations from European standards as we normally experience a certain shabbiness and erratic service at resorts. Not so at the Andaman! The hotel is very out of the way- we […] hired a car from Envomarine, one phone call when we arrived at the airport and the car was delivered, much cheaper than the in-airport agencies. The drive to the hotel took around 40 mins, easy to find and a fun drive. The hotel itself is large and artfully integrated into the rainforest on the edge of the fantastic beach. The room was a good size, very well appointed and clean. Plenty of towels, toiletries and an unlimited supply of bottled water. The only downside is the lack of view- we took the basic jungle view so of course had rainforest and a glimpse of the sea. Only a small selection of rooms on the upper floors in the east wing had a sea view which I expect would be fantastic if you are willing to pay the premium. The pool is lovely, very large and runs down to the beachfront. Lots of very comfy beds and large umbrellas. There are lots of beds on the sand as well. The beach is unspoiled, with only one other resort at the other end, pretty much invisible. There are some hidden private cabanas further down the beach which offered complete seclusion from where to watch the sunset. The food was fantastic- there is the main restaurant, a Japanese restaurant and then the beach restaurant. On the 1st night we ate at the beach restaurant with a table on the sand and had a great meal. On the Saturday and Sunday this restaurant was closed and instead there was a special Malaysian menu offered on a large terrace on the beach, beautifully lit with fairy lights with traditional musicians playing quietly in the back ground. I loved that Andaman resort is surrounded by so much green, and accommodates the wild. We saw monkeys, ant-eaters (I think that's what they were) and monitor lizards. Being more secluded, the beach was also a pleasure-clean and not too crowded. This is the only reason I would recommend this resort. However, for such a top star resort, I expected better […] service. Check-in for one of our rooms was late. We had to call a few times to check. We also had to ask 3 different people before we got an answer on one of our queries. When we asked for a late check-out, as we had a late flight, the person at the counter did not even attempt to accommodate us. It was not until we insisted that someone else came and offered us a room which was vacant, proving that it was indeed possible to extend. The condition of the rooms also need improvements. The covers on the day bed were stained, which doesn't look too impressive for a luxury resort. Both our rooms had faulty lamps and on the final night, the air-conditioning of one of our rooms blew. Stayed for 4 nights in April and it was wonderful from start to finish. From walking into the grand lobby this hotel is impressive to say the least. Rooms are lovely, beds are so comfortable that I didn't want to get up. An ipod docking station would be nice though as in most other 5 star hotels I have stayed in they are provided now. The coffee machine […] is a nice bonus though. Bathrooms are clean, light and spacious, shower is powerful. The grounds are beautiful and full of monkeys which we love. We went on both of the complimentary nature walks (morning and evening) which were great, very informative and we saw different animals on each one. The gym is great with lots of high tech touch screen equipment. I loved that I could play Mah Jong while on the bike. The pool area is gorgeous, with lots of well needed shaded areas and make sure you hang around to see a sunset, they are unbelievable. It is wonderful that bottled water is provided free of charge, both in the rooms and around the pool. The only downside to this hotel is the restaurants. The food is expensive by Malaysian standards and is not all of a high quality. Twice I had chicken dishes which although nice in flavour the chicken was full of gristle which was most off putting. I would expect this in a night market where you pay £1 but for a meal which costs about £15 it is not good enough. Also the service is soooo slow. On one occastion we went for dinner in The Restaurant and there were only 3 other tables of people so it wasn't a busy time and there seemed to be plenty of staff about. However, it took us 15 mins before we got a menu, once we had ordered it was another half hour before we even got our drinks (a beer and a lime juice don't take that long to make). The staff did apologise for the long wait but then continued with the slow service. The staff seemed more intent on clearing tables and setting up for breakfast than actually serving the customers. If you want to stay in a nice resort and have the opportunity to see SE Asian wildlife in abundance, then this is your place. The location is fairly isolated so if you want nightlife, this is not the place to stay (Phuket is just up the coast). The service was a little shaky at times. Around the pool and restaurants, the staff was great, but the concierge […] desk was worse than useless. They promised confirmation of various transportation and activity reservations, but NEVER delivered and their concierges could barely understand English, which reveals weak management. However, overall, I recommend this place for its good fitness center with activity classes like yoga, spinning, etc., its exceptional location with a beautiful beach that is almost private, and the scenery, which is spectacular. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the wildlife (monkeys, flying lemurs, hornbills) can be see right from one's room. This place is a nature lover's paradise. This place is way overpriced for the services and facilities offered. Frankly, we paid 1.5x the standard room price for a room with a so-called "Lanai"--instead, it was a claustrophobic deck that we never even set foot on. If you're going to book here, only pay for the lowest caliber room. We visted the Andaman for our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a perfect place is you wish to lay by the beach/pool and do nothing but relax. However, due to its location, you definitly need to rent a car if you want to get out and see the island - which we cant reccomend enough! The Hotel lacks any […] sort of exitement in the evenings and the local watering holes are at least a 45 min drive away. We also found the prices in the hotel to be very high. Espescially when you eat out in places like Chenang Beach and see same quality and better choice for much less. This place is a must for couples looking to get away from all the crowds and party going bachelors. If you have ever seen those beach resorts in the movies and in pictures, well this is it in real life! I just can't begin to describe how wonderful the experience was. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly, kind, and helpful. As a Muslim, i thought perhaps […] we might be treated "different". I was wrong. We were treated great, as if we were king and queen of the resort! They were this way with everyone, every single staff member. We checked in late when we go there, so the bell boys were gone, but the manager herself took our bags to our room! That is what you call service. I am totally going back next year. The ONLY drawback (if it is really...) is that the resort is located all the way on the other side of the island (from the ferry drop off). It takes about 45 mins to get there by car. The Andaman is a fantastic hotel, set in a beautiful location on a private beach. The hotel and its facilities are world class 5* and the service is exceptional. The hotel is probably best suited to couples looking for a relaxing break as it is about 30-45 minutes drive from the areas of bars and busier public beaches. I would recommend renting a car […] as they are so cheap to rent and you will probably spend the same amount on a couple of taxi rides as you do renting the car for the full trip + you then have the flexibility to visit more places. Das Hotel ist ein eigentlich ein familienfreundliches Mittelklassehotel (3 Sterne). Die Preise entsprechen der Luxusklasse. Die Fokussierung auf die Gewinnoptimierung hat erste Priorität. Damit auch mit dem Transportdienst gutes Geld erwirtschaftet werden kann und der Gast sich nicht auswärts verpflegt, ist kein Taxistand vorhanden. Der Limousinendienst […] des Hotels kostet ca. 1/3 mehr als ein Taxi. Die Zimmer sind nicht sauber und jeden Tag fehlt ein Teil der Wäsche-Garnitur. Die Gänge und Wege werden nicht gereinigt. Der Strand ist ungenügend gepflegt und man hat es unterlassen, einen ganztägig schwimmbaren Bereich zu gestalten. Dazu müsste man ins Nachbar-Hotel. 环境非常棒，当然确实是离热闹的市镇稍微偏远了一点，所以一定要租车，这个问题就解决了。酒店应该有一定年头了，所以设施稍显旧，但维护得还好。每天在一片虫鸣鸟叫中醒来，很美妙！

Hade en väldigt fin vistelse på the Andaman efter att ha bott på olika 4-5-stjärniga hotell i Langkawi. Var där med familj (fru och 6-månanders barn) och trots att vi inte kunde åka ut på utflykter på grund av barnet så hade vi det äventyrligt! Gott om träd på stranden med svala skuggor, god buffé och mat på restaurangerna (undantag strandrestaurangen […] där servicen var usel och maten smaklös). Makake-apor sprang runt på balkongerna och sökte mat samt Dusty Leaf-apor fanns att skåda i träden. Skön natur och underbar utsikt från såväl lobby som rum. Stranden var ren och fin med korallrev alldeles utanför (dock ganska så förstört / dött). I övrigt riktigt bra service från personal och trevligt med fri internetuppkoppling (som iofs var ganska dålig). Rekommenderas helt klart från en liten barnfamilj! Læs mere

안다만 럭셔리 호텔에서 4박을 하는데 주변에 레스랑이하나도 없어서 불편함을 빼고는 괜찮다. 그리고 음식값이 비싸다 ㅠㅠ...

Hôtel du niveau 5 étoiles, environnement paradisiaque.

Auch wenn Langkawi eher eine touristische Insel ist, ist das Hotel uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Es liegt abgeschieden von der übrigen Insel an einem traumhaften Strand und ist so in die Natur integriert, dass man es vom Wasser aus kaum sieht. Hervorragendes Frühstück, wahnsinnig netter Service und ein paradisischer Strand. Unbedingt buchen!

Excellent accueil de l'ensemble des personnels . Magnifique piscine entourée d'une végétation luxuriante. Excellente cuisine. Belle plage. Dommage qu'une extrémité de l'hotel soit mal entretenue.

trés bon hotel bien caché dans la jungle , propre calme, service de qualité, restaurant trés bon,un peu éloigné de la ville mais il faut plutot privilégié le côté farniente

どこに行くにも、大変に便利な立地です。 （私どもは、KLタワーもツインタワーもウォーキングがてら徒歩圏内でした。） 朝食も程よい品揃えで満足でした。 アメニティだけは、歯ブラシセットが2人滞在で何故か 1人分しかご用意いただけなかったのが？？？でした。 また、春節という時節柄、お隣のお若いチャイニーズさん達が深夜まで出たり入ったりでうるさかったので これは、まあ致し方ないかと・・・。 5Fに泊まる場合は、階数を上げてもらうことをお勧めいたします。 全体的には特に問題なく、日本で言うビジネスホテル+αの価値はあると思います。 予算的に5つ星が厳しいという方にお勧めします！

seul bémol : la restauration, à mon avis pas au niveau du reste , c'est très moyen. Heureusement on peut profiter des restaurants du Dataï à côté. Sinon c'est superbe, baie très calme, très belle plage et l'impression d'êtr vraiment dans la nature avec la forêt omniprésente
