We selected this hotel because it was both close to the Detroit airport and conveniently located to I-94, making it easy to get to Ann Arbor for 2 days of graduation ceremonies. The hotel itself was quite nice as was the service. The lobby features a contemporary, open layout that incorporates upscale check-in stations, a Starbucks deli/bar, a cocktail […] area, and the not-to-be-missed hot breakfast buffet all laid out together. Our room was clean and functionally well-designed. We liked having flat screen TVs on the walls in the living room and bedroom. Both the bed and pullout couch were comfortable. The microwave and compact refrigerator were also a plus. I really liked the nicely-organized Fair Trade certified coffee station in the room; in fact, all the coffee in the hotel was especially good to me. My only concerns: One of the electrical outlets would not hold a plug securely (easily fixable); the windows did not close securely enough for me; and there was a strong smell coming from what I assume was fertilizer (but you could only smell it if you were outside). and much better price than Westin which is often twice the price, but has the advantaged of being connected to Delta's DTW terminal. But good rooms, space, clean, helpful people.

Hotel was fine, rooms were great and well appointed. The only issues were that the television had very poor reception both times we stayed there. The toilet was loose. Other than that the building is well supervised and very quiet. It is close to a pay and park and we found our experience very nice.

Other than the fact that the hallway outside of our room was a little too noisy until about 10 pm, our stay was very nice. Loved, loved, loved the free breakfast.

excellent hotel would stay at this hotel again. staff was helpful and friendly.ate at thier restraunt and the food was excellent.really glad that we chose this hotel.

This hotel is near the Detroit airport. Of the 5 in our room - only one heard the planes through the night! The planes were not that loud even during the day. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too!

New style Embassy Suites is a little less grand but it was very nice. They have a shuttle to take guests anywhere close by 24/7 on 20 minute intervals. Breakfast was typical good Embassy Suites and they also have a lounge that serves food the rest of the day. Staff very helpfull. Rooms well appointed except not enough lighting for night work in room. Few […] restaurants nearby; only one the hotel staff said was high quality. Others are chains like Big Boy and Bob Evans, but hotel lounge serves better food than that. I would gladly stay there again if needing to be near the airport. Læs mere

This hotel has been totally remodeled. It was very nicely done. We were pleasantly surprised at how very upscale it was. Great Manager's reception too !!! Pools were lovely. They flowed in and out of the hotel. Would recommend it highly if flying in or out of DTW !!

One of the better ones there. Internet was a bit flaky at times, so I used the signal from across the street from time to time.

The only problem I had was when I checked in I was asked for my credit card standard yes...However I was NEVER told there would be a $25 dollar hold on it while I was there ...his caused an overdraft on that card for I only keep enough to cover room on it THANKS

I would recommend the Embassy Suites at the Detroit Airport to anyone looking for accomodations in the area. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect but decided to take a chance based on the rating & reviews by others. I wasn't disappointed! This hotel has everything to make your stay comfortable. The complimentary shuttle service was prompt and the […] drivers were friendly. This came in handy since there were 3 of us flying in at staggered times throughout the night. The restaurant and bar is open until 11 p.m. This is especially nice if your flight arrives later in the evening. I was also thrilled to find out they served specialty Starbucks coffee drinks (i.e. mocha, latte, etc.). The staff is very friendly and efficient which I really appreciate. They made us feel right at home. I've also got to mention the breakfast buffet. Not only did they offer the standard continental fare but they also offered made to order omelets. Having onsight laundry also came in handy. We had such a great experience the first night that we decided to stay our last night there rather than at a relatives a short distance away. I could go on and on but I'll stop here. If anyone from Embassy Suites reads this all I have to say is thank you for a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Læs mere

Great stay! The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast provided is great and there is something for all.

Trip included 2 adults and 3 kids from Mon-Wed, and this hotel was perfect. Being close to the freeway made it easy to get where we needed to go. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool, and everyone appreciated the daily manager's reception. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but the options were plentiful, so a different meal could be had each […] day. Complimentary snacks and drinks were a great touch during the reception. Room was comfortable with kids spreading out on the pull-out couch, floor or chair. Only glitch was that our toilet broke and could not be fixed during the last evening. We found out we were assigned a new room when we returned late from a night of exploring Detroit. Moving 3 kids, 6-11, was an adventure near midnight, but we managed. I would not have accepted this room if i had made a normal reservation. The room was directly over the lobby and quite noisy and a large Ac unit was in front of the window which overlooking the roof.I have indicated I would reccommend this hotel to others but as you see i was was not happy with the room location

I was very disappointed in this Embassy Suites. We try to stay at an ES whenever possible because we have 2 young children and the suite setup works best for us, plus we can count on cleanliness and impeccable hotel upkeep. Not so much with this hotel. The first strike was the "suite" itself. Instead of having a solid door between the bedroom and the […] living area it was basically a louvered closet door. Light and sound from the living area could be heard in the bedroom as if you were right there, which defeated the purpose of having the 2 separate rooms in the first place. The carpeted floors were disgusting. The bottoms of our feet were very dirty after walking around and the kids' knees, legs and feet were the same way after playing with their cars on the floor. Needless to say they weren't allowed to play on the floor after that. We had little black bugs on the sheer curtains and on the shower curtain. The breakfast area was not very clean. The 4 forks and 1 knife I pulled from the rack all had food remnants on it. We were very disappointed in this Embassy Suites and will not return. Læs mere

Although the quality of hotel service was very nice, the amount of noise and extra firm mattress made it very uncomfortable to stay in. I just don't like to hear other guests conversations and the constant sound of doors opening and closing while I'm in my room...in other words...the walls were way too thin! Also, when you pay a little extra for a "nicer" […] hotel, you shouldn't see things like the screens off the windows and leaning up against the outside wall. We had a great stay at this hotel. It was very nice! The hotel was very clean and had a nice pool and a decent workout room. The hotel bar did have a little to be desired. Very small, and extremely overpriced. Hotels.com advertised the room as having 2 queen sized beds, which was not the case. They were double beds. Although, they were extremely comfortable! […] And the best of all was a full breakfast bar. They have any type of breakfast food you can desire, and also a cook to order bar. My stay was pretty good at this Embassy Suites. Compared to other locations, my hotel room was not as comfortable as I would have liked. My sink drain leaked onto the floor, so I had to use the tub's drain when brushing my teeth. The drawers did not shut properly, but close enough. The hotel's carpets and wallpaper could use a fresh look as well. But […] I did appreciate the friendly staff, hot breakfast, and swimming pool. This was by far and away the worst Embassy Suites Hotel I've ever been to. The rooms are not like a normal Embassy Suites, but rather like two rooms with the dividing wall removed from between them. The walls were dirty and discolored, and the hotel was noisy. Our door was pounded on at least three times during the night, waking our infant twice. Has […] this been a normal Embassy Suites, this issue would have been minimized, as the sleeping areas would be further away from the front door. From the minute you walk in the lobby to the light pouring in from the skylights, to the sound of water from the fountain to the warm area for breakfast and dinner you know you are in for a treat. Breakfasts were great, the complimentary happy hour was a real treat, workout room was well equipped and the beds are sure to guarantee a good night's sleep. […] All the staff was warm, friendly and eager to please. I got way more than I expected by choosing this hotel. My room was a 'suite' with separate living room and 2 flat screen tvs. The bed was very comfortable. Yes... the hotel is a little old... but it is well maintained. A SUPER plus was the great breakfast that I received as part of my stay! A 'made to order breakfast"! The chef was happy to make omlets, […] pancakes, waffles, etc. along with a buffet of meats, potatoes, fruits, pastries... along with juices, coffee, etc. Very very nice. Not your usual free breakfast! The location is very near the airport, which wasn't convenient for me... but I'm still glad I chose the hotel because of the comfort and breakfast. I enjoyed my stay. Everything was very clean, staff friendly and good food.

The only complaint I had was when I checked in the young lady didn't seem to want to answer any of my questions. After that my stay was great. The rest of the staff were very friendly. The room was great. I like a lot towels and the front desk supplied them right away.

I didn't expect to arrive to such a well decorated, modern hotel on my first visit to Detroit. This hotel is convenient to the DTW Airport and the shuttle driver was by far the nicest, most accommodating driver I've ever met! I needed to make a quick run to the local CVS and she brought over there in the middle of the night! Talk about service! I stayed […] in the King Executive Suite. It is called the Flint Suite and it worked absolutely perfectly for all of the business meetings I needed to conduct throughout the day. Very spacious and outfitted with 3 LCD wall mounted flat panel TV's, beautiful boardroom conference table, office area, and completely separate bedroom area. Breakfast was very tasty and always included in the price of your room. WIsh I could have stayed for the free happy hour they provide but it was time for me to go back home. We were extremely pleased with our stay. The room was quite nice and very comfortable. Room service was prompt and very tasty. The manager's cocktail hour was very nice - hosted drinks and food. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great - lots of choices, food was very good, and everyone was so friendly.

Great location, nearby to many restaurants if you don't want to eat at the hotel. We also found to hotel to be clean and comfortable. Very close and convient to the airport, but not so close that the plans keep you up at night.

I checked in to the Detroit Metro Embassy Suites Hotel for an overnight trip and upon entering my room I felt it a shame to only be staying for a few hours. The room was very comfortable and laid out in a way that would make living in the room quite enjoyable. The extra ammenities were wonderful - the breakfast was fantastic!
