Hotel St. Pierre French Quarter - New Orleans

To start, the door to our room had a hole at the bottom that was big enough for a mouse or other critter to crawl through, which had us feeling uneasy the entire time. We eventually had to block the hole with a towel. We complained to the hotel management but there were no other rooms we could switch to, as we "only booked a standard". Secondly, our […] water pressure was practically non existent and when the shower ran a high-pitched squealing noise was made. On top of this the shower curtain was far too short and did not extend below the tub skirt so water pooled on the floor each time we showered. The location was good, and the hotel had a charming exterior. This; however, did not make up for the poor condition of the room and rude staff. We will not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel. Læs mere

Beds cannot be slept on -- wobbly, squeaky, lumpy. Cleanliness is marginal. Cost is equal to other hotels that are superior.

We loved staying in the heart of the French Quarter. The hotel was full of history and we enjoyed that very much!

Good location is the only thing going for this dump. Sheets were thread bare. Our initial room was right off of the lobby and you could hear the phone ring and every customer checking in. No working phone service. Only main lights worked....none of the lamps did (in either room). AC/Heating until knob was broken and had to request service.

The hotel was charming and the staff was excellent. It is right in the French Quarter and easy walking distance to everything, even for me who has difficulty walking. The ambiance there is wonderful, a sweet little courtyard and two pools. It is in the old Quarter style and not updated, but in the period of the Quarter which I loved. I read many reviews about this hotel, but let me tell you it is a great hotel, if you want somewhere quaint and that looks like New Orleans. No hotel is perfect so you can't expect that. What you can expect is great people to help you, we had a wonderful bed, and room. The breakfast is just what it says a continental not a hot breakfast, so don't think […] that is what you are getting. If you stay in the rooms around the 1st pool like we did you are going to get noise from people comming and going, lets be serious people most everyone down there is going to be drinking so they are not always quiet, nor do they go back to the hotel at 8pm and go right to bed. This is a hotel and you need to expect hotel things to go on. The staff was very helpful all through the visit. The room was smaller than I had hoped but it was clean and comfortable. The rate was super, for being right in the French Quarter at Mardi Gras time. This hotel was great for what we were looking for. The front desk staff was fine - with the exception of one really nice gentleman on Tuesday morning, pretty "just okay." The breakfast was very basic, but good for us who were willing to grab a bagel and coffee and head out. I recently stayed at the Hotel St. Pierre. The staff is very good. After a couple of days, I wasn't happy with the room and they changed it immediately. Although laundry is not part of what they do, we had a situation were my daughters chef coat needed to be washed and it was taken care of. The hotel was full of character with exposed brick on the interior walls and courtyards in between the buildings. The thermostat was regulated in each building and our room fluctuated between hot and cold, but the hotel staff was accommodating. The room itself, including the beds are only average. But the overall hotel which is a conglmoreration of adjoining buildings with a number of small courtyards spaced throughout is very quaint. The staff is extremely friendly, and we loved the always fresh hot coffee available day and night. The sheets were worn and thin, and it would be an improvement to jettison the bedspreads in favor of comforters covered with a sheet like so many hotels have today. That would make the rooms feel fresher. Overall a friendly hotel in the Quarter.

It was our first time in New Orleans and we had a blast. The St. Pierre was wonderful, like something out of an old movie. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was 2 blocks from Bourbon St. in a quaint and quiet neighborhood, just like they advertised. We had so much fun, we're going back in June for our anniversary.

This hotel is so quaint. I was a little apprehensive based on the reviews I read but when we checked in all of my worries disappeared. It's an extremely old and historic hotel but they have renovated most of the rooms. There is a beautiful courtyard to have breakfast and relax. We are already planning our next stay!!

WE FELT THE HOTEL TO BE VERY FUN---THE SHAPE OF THE ROOM/CEILING WAS DIFFERENT!! WE STAYED 1 NITE---ROOM VERY GOOD FOR THAT

It is a charming hotel, but it's lacking in amenities. No safe, fridge, clock, hair dryer or temp control. If you have quiet people in the rooms beside , you'd be ok, otherwise you can hear everything through the walls.

The room was small, but clean. location is just 2 blocks from Bourbon St. There is free parking for a limited number of cars, so arrive early. We found no reason to use our car during our stay, as we were close to most of the action.

The location of the hotel was a plus! The room was not very clean and no A/C...can't imagine the room in the summer. One of the beds was completely broken which two of the guests slept on somehow for one night. They did replace the bed when we made management aware. The hotel has possibilities...but..needs upkeeping.

My husband and I were looking for a hotel with a bit more character, within walking distance of the French Quarter. First, they have a parking lot with only a few spaces. We were never able to park our rental there and instead parked about a 1/2 mile away. We were greeted by horribly unhelpful staff members. Then we saw the room. OH MY GOD. The hotel is dirty, noisy and overall it was a terrible experience. For a lot less money, I had stayed at the Country Inn and Suites down the way and was pleasantly surprised. My weekend in New Orleans was highlighted by a hotel in the French Quarter that has free parking, a savings of over $60.00! Not only did they assist in parking my car but they even took my bags to my room without a single hesitation. The location to all the sights is perfect. Walking distance to almost every attraction in the French Quarter and it's […] just far enough out of the way for everything to be quite for a good nights rest. If your looking for a great place to stay any time of the year in the French Quarter I would recommend Hotel St. Pierre without any hesitation. I plan on staying here many more times in the future. Very friendly staff! Cute courtyard. Boutique-hotel feel. Great location. Room kinda small for three girls. Continental breakfast was terrible.

THe people were nice they said they had free wifi they put me across the street in the rooms there and i didnt get wifi had to be in the office or the pool area to get connection im not sure why but they put some kind of powder stuff on the bed between the sheet and the first blanket parking wow when they say limited they mean limited they have 1 small […] lot they pack in so tight you cant breath have to back out this small path between cars it is just barely the size of the car wide and if you are not parked by 1:30 you wont get a space you have to park in a lot 7 blocks away and pay for it Læs mere

When we opened our room the floor was still dirty and needed a maid to come in and vacuum the bedroom. Front Desk staff was extremely rude. Person actually was picking a fight with another guest and using extreme profane language. Beds were small and very noisy. Me feet hung over the edge and I'm only 6' tall. Positives: a great location in the French Quarter, lots of charm befitting the French Quarter, free parking, and a pleasant staff. Negatives: a small room, a serious leak in the bathroom ceiling, a mouse in our room, and hotel management that would not reimburse us for the food the mouse got into. (We asked for only $10, but did not get it.)

the demo-pictures are false, the real hotel is diferent, the beds are very noise.

I cannot say enough negative things about the staff at Hotel St. Pierre. They were very rude and unfriendly and, on several occasions, would simply ignore us when we asked a question at the front desk, and if we repeated the question, they would respond with something unrelated. For example, my friend was not feeling well as we were checking out and […] asked if there would be a possible later check-out for an additional charge. Her question was completely ignored, and when she asked again, the man at the front desk looked at us and said "ok, you're good to leave now." Cleanliness and staff attitude about it were also an issue. There was a mouse in the kitchen area that I noticed while downstairs getting coffee. I alerted the front desk and they seemed unphased. I suggested that maybe they should get a mouse trap, to which they replied "oh, no, it'll be fine." The mouse got better treatment than we did! The "free parking" that is advertised is also very misleading, since the lot can only hold about 15 cars. All in all, it is a cheap hotel for the location, but I would pay more for a better experience. Læs mere

It was bad, not able to move around, the tub was for someone that is about 3-4 feet tall nothing is up to date, not even the TV. I give it a 0 star…..

Upon arrival, I was very impressed with the attendant that helped us park our vehicle and get our luggage inside. The Room was very clean, a good Continental Breakfast, etc. Near enough to walk to see the sights in walking distance. I would highly recommend this Hotel to others, in fact, I already have.

I just came back from a 4 day vacation in New Orleans and booked with Hotel St.Pierre. This hotel is in a great place if you want to be in walking distance of the action! It was a great spot to crash at night after partying hard. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the hotel for you. The only thing I can say that was surprising to me was how small the room was compared to the picture. The pools were also small, but luckily were not crowded. The service was great and I would recommend this hotel for anyone who just needs a place to crash after enjoying the best of The French Quarters. One great advantage was that the hotel was about 2 blocks from Bourbon Street, which was absolutely perfect :-) The main complaints that I had were that housekeeeping never came to our room for cleaning or making the beds, I stayed for four nights. There was one front desk person (during the day) who was rude to customers both on the phone and in […] person - the world could really do without his attitude. During our stay there was some heavy construction happening, they only worked during the day however after partying all night - I really needed to sleep during the day. Other than those things, breakfast in the mornings were great, the room was beautiful, and other than that front desk guy, the rest of the staff was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Charming feel and warm exterior cottages led into a cramped, poorly lit room with filthy carpet. Bathroom soaps etc. made in China; surely New Orleans can do better than that. Even the friendly staff could not improve the sparse breakfast. Could not control out-of-reach window air conditioner and hoped nothing would crawl in through rotting door. O […] verpriced. Læs mere

This hotel was great. It was in walking distance to many places to eat, and the staff were both nice and helpful. The room had airconditioning which was a necessity during my stay in June. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay there again

The cottage type rooms were a new experience for us, but we liked the fact that it was a very New Orleans-esque atmosphere. The good- We loved that we were just a few blocks from bourbon street and that there were so many shops, galleries, and food choices for us. The courtyard at the hotel made for nice picture backgrounds and the fountain was relaxing […] to listen to.. The bad - hotel parking is limited! Heck everywhere in the French quarter parking is limited, but I specifically chose this hotel for the free parking. We came in on a Saturday and the parking spaces were full which put our car about 7 or 8 blocks down the road for $15 day(the cheapest we could find). The swimming pools are smaller than they seemed in the pictures. We had planned to spend time there, but due to the lack of space, ended up ending our NOLA trip early to head to Gulfport, ms for the beach instead. This hotel is a dump so do not waste your time. The air conditioning consists of a little wall unit that is so close to the ceiling that no air circulates (thank goodness for the ceiling fan). The floors and walls are nasty. The shower is nasty too and you have to jiggle the handle just right to get the water to stop flowing from the shower head. The location is great. I'm not much of a walker, but I walked all around the French Quarter. Staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. The rooms are small, but had everything I needed (didn't spend much time in it anyways). One thing, though, try to make sure you are in a cool room. My friend's room was nice and cool; however, mine was super […] hot, and no AC control inside the room. It may be I was in the second floor, and the afternoon sun faced the room...The point is, it was not comfortable to sleep there, and I'm used to be in the heat. Læs mere

You couldn't ask for a better location: in the French Quarter, but on a quiet residential street. The staff was courteous with good restaurant recommendations. But the room was shabby. The carpet should have been replaced years ago. I hope the stain on it was nail polish and not blood!
