Meget slidt hotel...bar og restauranten som hører til hotellet snyder decideret folk.de skriver ikke pris på øl og vand .Og de tager overpriser i forhold til de andre restauranter på Ocean Drive

Gammelt og meget slidt absolut ikke noget service. Det virkede mest som om det var besværligt for personalet at der kom hotelgæster. Sikkert et udemærket hotel hvis man bare dkal ligge på stranden det meste af dagen og så drikke hjernen ud om aftenen og natten:-)

Her kunne vi bo billigt, lige ned til strand og gade med liv og udemærkede spisesteder. Hotellet var ok, vi fik hvad vi havde betalt for og ikke mere, seng at sove i , badeværelse, tv o aircon. Forventer du mere, skal du ikke sove her, men det er jo kun de timer man skal sove man er på hotelværelset alligevel ;-)

The Hotel has an excellent situation in the fun part of Ocean Drive. As most other hotels here they also run a restaurant and bar. This hotel focuses mainly on the bar, not the hotel. We were right on the strip! Prime location to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The price was great as well. The person working at the desk was really helpful, telling us where good spots to eat were. They even wanted to help us in calling a cab to the airport. Everything is perfect. The price is great. The only complain we had was that the floors were very dirty so don't take your shoes off. Other than that was great!

there isn't n e carpet so bring slippers n I learned that Miami Beach n Miami r two diff cities...Miami Beach is verrrry expensive so b prepared

I was very upset about my stay here. We were never told that we had to pay an additional $100 for incidentals. Then our room was not ready when we arrived, we booked our room weeks in advance. She then sent us to a new room. We arrive to the floor and there is this LOUD fire alarm going off on the floor that you can hear from the elevator. We get closer […] to our room and then there it is, the alarm is coming from our room!!!. We are yelling just to talk to each other and then I go down stairs to get someone to turn it off after waiting in a long line for 20 minutes or more with one person working at the desk, she tells me that the maintenance person is on his LUNCH BREAK!!! So I had to wait. It finally turned off by itself and minutes later it turned back on... we didnt have any type of service with new wash cloth/towelss, we didnt have anyone to come in and make our beds or tidy up the rooms, it was terrible. but the locations was Awesome!!! My friends and I stayed at the starlight hotel for a bachelorette weekend. For the price and location it wasn't a bad spot. The hotel isn't very accommodating, so prepare to bring your own things... towels, mirrors, beach towels etc... The rooms were so clean you could smell the cleaner on the floors. I enjoyed my stay, My room was very clean and bed was very comfortable, I would have enjoyed a window overlooking Ocean Drive better, maybe next time.

For the money we paid to stay at this hotel, i was truly disappointed. First there was alot of noise coming from all the rooms. Second, I asked the hotel clerk if we could get some more towels. She said, "Sorry we are totally booked, I can't give you any." And last, the hotel clerk said that we could check out at 12 pm. On our check out day, some staff […] member banged on our door telling us, "You need to get out of here, check out is at 11am." in a very rude tone. Very well placed hotel in heart of Art Deco. But rooms noisy, especially as mine had adjoining door to next room. No chairs, meaning any food heated on microwave has to be eaten on bed. My room not cleaned, . But good and free wifi, fridge and microwave. Staff at front desk variable. Overall probably what a 2 star hotel is.

Great location..clean establishment..air conditioned room..would definitely stay there again.

The location is great but that is about it. Dirty towels, leaking bathtub, dark small room, non existtent front desk help. We also stayed at Dorchester hotel for the same price and loved it.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. I needed a single night for a little R & R after a week of training. All I needed was a clean room and a place to shower in the morning. The staff was nice and helpful and although it is right in the middle of South Beach action, it was relatively quite. The rooms are very dated but it did have a flat […] screen TV, working microwave and mini refrigerator that kept my adult beverages cold. This is not the place to bring your family for a nice beach vacation, but it is a great place for an adult fun beach vacation. Læs mere

Not bad at all for the price! Just be ready to pay a $100 deposit upon checking in. I wasn't aware of this at all just came as a surprise. as far as parking goes.. Valet is $20 over night.. or pay for parking outside at meter free from 3am-9am. A few details that are not mentioned.

Im claustrophobic and room was a little 2 small for me

The Starlite was the best hotel for the price! Paid way less than expected during prime spring break. The room was so clean to the point you could smell the cleaning products! Very Friendly Staff! Ok place to stay, noisey, young crowd. Price is high but not for the area.

You don't get anywhere more in the middle of South Beach than this. They've got a little restaurant right on the sidewalk, and a little bar inside to grab drinks on the go. The service was interesting. One lady at the desk was awesome, all of the others always seemed a bit mediocre. But honestly, the rooms are fine, everything they include is perfectly […] fine. And if you're there for music week or Ultra (like I was), then you won't even ever be there except to get a few hours of sleep every night. So who cares! Great location right on the beach, and the restaurants of Ocean Dr. Nice staff, clean room, flatscreen tv. This is for people who only sleep in the room and are out and about otherwise. Good deal.

The staying was quite alright but hotel hasn't got much more to it than good location. The staff seemed too busy at times to help, and there wasn't much more service that was available there.

This hotel was a perfect location for my spring break trip. Right next to Wet Willie's, and the beach is at the doorstep. The room was cozy, but the lighting was poor. Bathroom was clean. Housekeeping never cleaned the room, just dropped off towels. Front desk personnel was helpful in finding a cab to airport. I stayed here for spring break with a few of my friends. The location is awesome! Right across the street from the beach and just a couple blocks from all the night life! The only concern we had was that parking was confusing. I don't mean to be grose but this place is! Do Not stay here unless you do not mind run down, unclean, loud places with dishonest service. There were big hairy boogers on the wall, dried mop water scum on the navy blue bathroom floor, the elevator was filthy and was not cleaned the three nights I was there. It just feels cramped and nasty, and unwelcoming […] here. Another party of guests called the police in because they felt certain the cleaning staff stole their cash out of their room while they were gone. Watch your back here! Prior to the police being called the hotel clerk got angry with the guests instead of being helpful telling them don't leave stuff in your room. I asked four times during my 3 night stay to change to a quieter room and the hotel clerks told me they had nothing as I stared at the neon sign brightly displayed saying "rooms available"! The staff treats you with disrespect, unheard of in my travels. The staff also said I had to use the valet parking for $22. I found out on my own after using the valet once, there is a 5 story 24 hour ramp 1 1/2 blocks away that is $1 an hour. A 4 minute walk! They purposely keep this ramp a secret. This hotel was a loud spring break college dorm in late February 2012. I had at least four cackling teenage girls slamming doors, yelling, screaming till 3 am. There are thin old 1950's doors between the rooms(not sure why) so you can even hear someone talking in the next room. Throw in a party and you won't be sleeping that night. Disrespect at it worst. I am a professional travel photographer that has been to all 50 states, and most territories of the USA. I have stayed at way more than my share of motels, hotels, campgrounds. Læs mere

I arrived on a wednesday and there was no internet in my room I told them when i arrived and there was no internet wed, thurs , fri , sat , sun and monday afternoon they had a repair person in and they finally had it fixed.

The Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. The place was not well keep. The only benefit to this hotel is the location it was right accross the street to the beach and there were tons of resturants and bars close by. I would not go back to this hotel or reccomend it to anyone. The price was not that much lower than the nicer hotels. The hotel location is perfect. I stayed here doing my spring break perfect location and it was perfect to sleep and shower. Stayed here twice and will again for next year trip to Miami!

My buddies and I stayed at Starlite for spring break and we loved it! The location is fantastic since you're literally right across the street from the beach and there are multiple restaurants, bars, and clubs within walking distance of the hotel. I would say that the prices for the rooms were very reasonable, especially if you can split the cost among […] several people. The rooms themselves seemed a little old and the bathrooms were in need of renovation, but for the price that we were paying to stay there it's not like we were expecting the rooms to look brand new. I know some of the other reviews have said that the hotel staff wasn't too helpful, but I found them to be very accommodating. One thing I'd like to point out is that the hotel is right on Ocean Drive, which is a giant tourism hotspot (especially around spring break) and thus there is a lot of noise. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is not the hotel for you. Also, in terms of parking, you can either pay the valet guy to look after your car or you can drive a couple streets over and use the public parking garage. Personally, I'd recommend the garage because the rates are cheaper and you don't have to tip someone to go get your car. Call me cheap, but hey, I'm a college student. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel for the price and location, especially if you're just looking to go down to South Beach for the beach and party atmosphere. Friendly and helpfull stuff and perfect location. The condition of the hotel may not be the best but it's overall really good value for the money!

Tried to check in a couple hours early and she said that room was not ready. I figured it was worth a try because we got in town early. We were told to come back aroound 2. We actually came back around 3 just to be told the room still was not ready and needed another hour. Came back an hour later and the room still was not ready. We were told another […] 5 mins. For the wait were got a room upgrade, so that was very much appreciated. The following morning I went to take a shower to notice that there were stains on the white towels that were left in the bathroom for us to use. Since we checked in late, we called the front desk to see if those 2 hours could be made up and if we could check out at 1 and the front desk said no and that they had to get the room ready for the next guests. My take on it is that they may not even get started on the room until 1 anyway. Although I am in customer service, the front desk showed very little sympathy and did not seem to be apologetic. Would I recommend it sure just because of the location and for the most part cleanliness of the room. Just don't expect to get great service thats all. Læs mere

For a hotel with only 4 floors, I have no idea why the elevator is excruciatingly slow.

This hotel is very dirty. The floors were wet inside. I slipped once. Service is very poor. There was no toilet paper inside. I called the front desk, but no one helped me for 45 minutes. Finally I came down and collected this personally.
