Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach and Marina - Redondo Beach

The location was very convenient, within walking distance of the beach front and shops. The hotel itself was very well priced, however, everything else was Crowne Plaza expensive ($24-27 per night for parking). Still a ggood deal.

I reserved a room with a king size bed via hotels.com. I also paid an extra price for an ocean view. The ocean view was worth the money, as we could see Palos Verdes & the ocean from our room. When we arrived at midnight from LAX, however, I was informed that there were no more king size beds or queen size rooms available. Instead, we were given two […] twin size beds. My stay was a great time. The staff was knowlegeable and helpful. The decor was quite appealing and comfortable.My only compaint is that I did not get the ocean view room.

The hotel stay was great, the staff was great and they met my request at a moments notice. The room was good, a little dated but we at least got a little corner view of the ocean. If I stay again, I would ask for a room overlooking the pool and the ocean. The pillows were very uncomfortable (bring your own). I love staying in this hotel, however the last stay was a problem due to very spotty internet in my room (I stay over for business so that is very important to me) they did change rooms for me but still an inconvenience and I also had water on the bathroom floor of the room they moved me to- they fixed that problem as well but I hope the next stay doesn't […] involve any of these problems. overly priced parking, over priced dinner, long wait for food after dinner was ordered, amateur waitstaff , restaurant bathroom was disgusting, woman at front desk was unhelpful and short. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!! plus. . . once you pay for parking it is a maze to try and find your room. GOOD LUCK!

Our recent stay at the Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach was extremely forgettable. The room itself was outdated, but it was clean and I consider it acceptable. The parking is inexplicably expensive. The self parking is like $25 and valet is $27. I paid for valet, but when we arrived back late one night, he was nowhere to be found, so we self parked. We […] walked right in to the front desk to ask if there was a valet on duty and we had self parked, she didn't apologize, but told us we should have brought her the keys, as if it was our fault that their employee was missing. The 'executive water view' was poor as we could barely see the ocean. But that didn't matter as the patio chairs were covered in bird feces, so we wouldn't have been able to enjoy a water view anyway. This place has hidden fees.......you have to pay to park your car in the parking garage which is 23 dollars a day. When I arrived to hotel people didn't even explain to me how to get to my rooom. you have to get on a evelvator from the parking garage to the hotel lobby and then into another evelvator which takes you to the floor. They only have one […] vending machine which was on the other side of my floor. It was too long of a walk for ice...or soda. Plus this hotel is haunted too. Læs mere

I booked and paid for an ocean view and did get it.

I would recommend the Crowne Plaza in Redondo for the location, beauty of the lobby, comfort of the room, price of the room, and friendliness of the staff. I have stayed in many hotels in the Southern CA beach area and will definitely keep this one on my list when I am in the area again.

I stayed at this hotel because it was close to where I was going out on NYE. I'm from the area and so I am quite familiar with the surrounding area and parking availablity. A couple of complaints. First, in the 4 page print out I received there was no mention of the absurd 27.00 parking fee. Had I known about that, I probably would have booked with the hotel next door which amazingly enough, has NO parking fee. Second, our bathroom shower did not work and the bath took forever to fill. The hotel was comfortable and we got a room with great view to marina and ocean. Walking distance to pier, shops and restaurants. Great rooftop heated pool and spa. Make sure however to factor in parking into room cost as it was $23 a night during our stay and found that a bit high. We were so pleasantly suprised. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were large & very attractive and the beds very comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the Marina from our balcony. We were very satisified with our stay & would certainly come back again.

Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach is a calm and quiet refuge in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the LA metro area. Great boardwalk for riding bikes, rolling skating or walking, several restaurants close by on the Pier and in the neighborhood, convenient Whole Foods and Rite Aid 3 blocks away. I was greeted at the front desk that I would have to pay $23 a night for parking or $27 for Valet, then I was told that they do not give you free internet access, you have to pay for that, no breakfast and the fitness gym was not even on site, but down the street. Very rude at the front desk. The television quality was horrible and no flat screen TV. […] Definitely charging way too much for everything and not investing back into their rooms. This Hotel is walking distance from the Redondo Pier where you can eat fresh & exotic seafood like a sea urchin. Our Hotel room view to Marina was pleasantly very nice and beautiful. The room is very nice, clean, never heard our neighbors, bed super comfy and the staff is very friendly. I would most definitely stay again!!

Bed comfortable and great location. Surounding amenities great. But room dated and could use renovation. Smoking was allowed at our time of stay and the smell was thick in rooms on that side of hotel (better ventilation) needed.

This hotel has alot going for it including pretty good customer service and a good location on Redondo Beach. It is not actually on the water, but rather across the street. However, you can see the water from your room depending on where your room is. I had some bad luck wth my room because my shower drain was broken. However, they sent maintenance […] pretty quick to fix it. One of the biggest problems I have when I travel is food, because I eat an organic vegetarian + fish diet. However, there is a Whole Foods a few blocks from the hotel as well as a great Fish Market type restaurant called "Captain Kidds" right across the street. Made my life easy. I would stay there again. This hotel was nice, and the location was great, but I was very surprised when I checked in and found a $22 parking fee. The hotel concierge was nice enough to direct me to street parking 5 blocks away where i could park for free, but, um, 5 blocks away? In a neighborhood I wasn't familiar with? I don't know who should be responsible for the blame...regardless, […] I was there for 1 night (less than 15 hours - although I did request a late check out and was not granted it, apparently they "sold out" of those, I guess they sell everything at this hotel) and had to pay for parking. I don't mind knowing I have to pay, I mind *not* knowing I have to pay and finding out later. I may or may not have chosen a different hotel based on this information. We traveled 3.5 hours to the coast for a one night anniversary get away with a "view". The view was 90% parking garage, with tennis court. And a peek of the coast. The killer was, I'm certain on a Tuesday before Thanksgiving they had at least one of the 75% of the rooms with a better view available. Most rooms remained dark. When I initially booked on this site, my confirmation stated that I had booked a room with two full size beds and ocean view. When I checked in, the hotel said they did not have rooms with this specification left. I was traveling with two small children and was put in a room that was handicap accessible. She told me for an "upgrade fee", I could get […] a room that included the specifications I supposedly had booked in the first place. The wheelchair accessible room was not only way too small, but the shower was wheelchair accessible meaning no bathtub for my kids and a completely flat floor to allow access which flooded with water when I took a shower. I tried to move rooms with the first hotel clerk and she could do nothing. After going out to dinner, I found I tried approaching another hotel front desk clerk who proceeded to tell me that my reservation did not indicate what type of room I had booked and so they gave me what was available. I showed them the confirmation from this site and what it had stated. She said that I needed to take this up with hotels.com because they receive no such indication from them. I don't know if this is accurate and I have not tried to pursue this formally yet. Anyway, she graciously moved me the type of room I should have received in the first place minus the ocean view. The room was twice as big as the original and had the double beds and tub I had booked. I was really displeased with the start of my vacation both with the way the hotel staff handled it and with the claims they made about the shortcomings of this site. Not only that, but it was 10:00 p.m. when they finally said I could have the room I should have received in the first place and had to move all my stuff with my two children to another room late at night. That was ridiculous! The rest of my stay was great and their rooftop pool and hot tub with ocean view is pretty fabulous. I wish my stay had started on the right foot. We chose this hotel for the night after our 9 day cruise. Absolutely wonderful choice. We were are to check in early and enjoy the area. Easy walk to restaurants and beach. Friendly staff and great customer service. We enjoyed drinks and light supper in the bar. Easy access to airport. We would stay here again, Well worth the price.

Nice Hotel, although we paid extra for a beach/harbor view and only got a small pie slice of a view...

A reasonable hotel choice, but quite overpriced for the quality and service of the hotel. My friend and I had a lot of allergy issues in the room--it's an old hotel with lingering mold and mildew. Hotel rooms need an upgrade. Extremely poor service to receive towels for the pool. We waited about 25 minutes for housekeeping to bring towels and did not bring them to us like management said they would.

We arrived at 3am, but it took very long to check in. Somehow although the room was already booked, we we were not able to get the double beds we requested and the room was also smoking. Instead of trying to resolve this the rep wanted to argue with me about this. Very unaccommodating. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Miguel at the front desk was very helpful in recomending restaurants and making our overall experience much more satisfying. The location was quiet yet convenient. Would recommend hotel to others

It was a busy holiday weekend, and the customer service was excellent! The hotel itself could use some work; a fresh coat of paint would go a long way. The towels were a little dingy, and walls were not well insulated against neighborly noise.

We booked this hotel last-minute and were surprised with how beautiful it was for the wonderful price, especially being last-minute. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The negatives--(1) paying for internet service, and (2) parking is way too expensive. But we walked everywhere, and that was very convenient.

The hotel is fair enough, and I'm sure the best at King Harbour/Redondo Beach, but the place is yesterdays holiday resort, probably at it's height in the 30's or something. Well yes, Manhattan and Hermosa beach are excellent beaches, but the area is designed for and dominated by residencial summer houses and corresponding people and therefore all too […] boring for hotel turists. The hotel room maintenance was bad in all areas. Stains on carpet. Bathroom caulking joints were dirty and missingin some areas. Wall covering pealing in some areas. Not at all happy with condition of room.

Redondo beach was a great suprise. the harbour is nice.

If you're going to spend the money, this is the hotel to spend it at. Get an ocean view room and you may not leave the room. From your room, if you have ocean view, you can see the Palos Verdes mountains, the ocean, and the Santa Barbara mountains. Just an awesome, awesome, view.
