"Days Inn - Bed Comfortable/Bathroom etc. horrible"
The only really good thing I can say about this hotel is that the bed was really comfortable and the rate was inexpensive. Additionally, the gentleman who checked us in was very nice and personable. However, the bathroom was really in poor condition. The tile in the floor had a drain hole right in the middle with a drain cover simply covering the hole. […] It was not attached in any way and the hole exposed a dark, grimy looking drain opening. The ceiling was composed out of ceiling tiles and a rusted metal grid. The paint was peeling and the tile job was absolutely horrible. The room was a non-smoking room but you could smell a lingering smoke smell from smoking rooms down the hall. Læs mere

Good place to stay, although the front desk staff was not very friendly, and several employees would gather outside the front door in the morning and smoke. Had to content with walking through second hand smoke to get to cars.

Girl at front desk was very pleasant- got into room and was blown away by how bad the walls in the room and bathroom were. Plaster had fallen off and there were alot of needed repairs to the walls. Very old place. Stayed at the Hampton Inn the 2nd night, much better!

This hotel was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The white sheer curtains were stained dark gold from tobacco stains. The carpet was filthy and stained. The Days Inn location provides easy access to Highway I40 and is accessible to shopping and food places. The motel team made it a very comfortable stay, providing adequate food for breakfast and a daily newspaper. I would stay here again. Mrs. Schwarz from Portland, Oregon

I was leery before I got there, we stayed in schawnee before at a different hotel. I was really happy with it. For the price and convience I would recommened it.

I made my reservations last minute with hotels.com. The first mistake I made was booking for the wrong night. Thankfully, I was reimbursed a few days later. When I arrived with a tired family of 7 and a small poodle, they told me I would be fined $200 for bringing the dog into the hotel. So the poodle stayed the night in the car. Therefore, requiring […] for me to get up twice in the night to check on the dog. Which brought on security and the receptionist watching my every move with the dog-eery! There were other pets in surrounding vehicles as well. There were two casinos located near the hotel that we wanted to check out. As we were leaving the room I stayed in, the toilet did not flush. I called the front desk and he said he would get to my room when he had the chance because he was already busy. Not five minutes later the receptionist came and literally repeated the same things we did to fix the toilet and it started to work. As we made our way out the hotel, a neighbor a few doors down from us was visibly irrate standing at her door and started yelling and me and the two other adults I was with. As if she was my mother and yelled "It is now time to shut-up and go to bed!" and "Go to your rooms and get to bed!" and "You are slamming doors and hooting & hollering, it needs to stop!". Well, the problem with her argument was that she didnt have her facts straight and assumed we were the kids outside her doorwhen we came in with our luggage and my entourage of a family. To make my stay worse, the receptionist stood there next to us and witnessed the neighbor yelling at us when clearly, he was in the room checking the toilet as I stood there watching him when all the noise was coming from the kids out in the hall. No apologies from the receptionist, nor settling the argument that we were not the loud ones. The lights by the bed and the clock in the room did not work,my husband and I found them not plugged in so we fixed them. I have stayed here twice and have found this hotel average. It is mainly a clean hotel. The people are very friendly. The breakfast is minimal, and you can get by with it. I will stay again.

My stay at days inn was okay. Our Air conditioner would not really work. there was holes all in the walls and cracks. Other than that its a decent hotel. the air conditioner did not blow any air out at all. it quit working in the middle of the night and it had a weird smell to it and the air conditioner unit was VERY hot. it kinda scared us. "Days Inn within 5 miles of casino."
Good price for the room. I would recommend for a short stay. If you want the continental breakfast be sure to be on time. Breakfast closes at 10 am. We were a couple of mintues late and the front desk person would not allow us to get any breakfast. She told us we should have been there sooner. There was still food setting out. Stayed for a couple of nights to visit family the lived in the surrounding area. The hotel was a good pick for the price, was clean and relatively comfortable. Would stay again.

Days Inn was outdated and had an oder of chemicals trying to cover smoke and must. The service was good. The coffee at the minimal breakfast was weak.

I thought I read reviews of upgrades and room construction that went on earlier last year. I was shocked at the condition of the rooms and the NASTY shower! Not one wall socket was securely in the wall the way it should be. I thought I was going to be electricuted trying to plug in my computer!!

The Hotel is in a good location in Shawnee. It was pretty clean and up to date, but really smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Our non-smoking room was fine, but the lobby was pretty stinky. This is a basic hotel with basic amenities, but for the price, I would consider staying again.

I would have enjoyed it better if they had not been remodeling at the time. It was a mess and one of the workers on the roof actually swept debris on me my when I walked by. Also, our room wasn't ready when we got there, but I guess I would rather them take their time cleaning than to halfway do it. Overall the stay wasn't bad.

I stayed at the Shawnee days Inn for a reunion, 5 days total. The hotel is a fairly new building, very clean, extremely quiet. I slept better there than I do at home. The staff is very friendly. It is in a great area, well lit, quiet, safe, near gas stations, food, shopping. I give it 5 stars.
