"Elkhart Red Roof Inn not the place too go..."
Room was poorly maintained and outdated. The heater was very loud and did not heat well. The bathroom had paint chips falling from ceiling with mold. Would not recommend to others. Pay 20-30 dollars more a night at a baymont, best western, or comfort inn....worth the piece of mind!

"Cheap and close to Interstate"
Hotel is cheap and close to interstate I-80. Doors are all external which I wasn't aware of, as I would prefer internal for additional safety. Bathroom was severely outdated color wise and needed some paint. But overall was clean and smelled clean.
Room was dirty and contacted front desk and never came to clean up. Had snow come in and drive was never plowed and when checking out, i was on 2nd floor and they did not clear that area of snow either. Asked for wake up call and one was never given
"A Warm Room"
It is a Red Roof Inn. I expect a warm clean room. I dont expect much more. I got a warm clean room. The morning desk clerk was a bit grumpy, but a did get a warm clean room.

Very nice check in experience but hotel was dated..also no Kleenex in room and several outlets did not work. The carpeting looked like it had not been vacuumed.
"A decent enough place to stay"
This motel is a bit worn, but its clean and comfortable enough for a short stay if you happen to be in Elkhart (which you really shouldn't be). Motels never feel completely safe, but definitely didn't feel unsafe. Not a bad budget option.

"Acceptable"
Aceptable in all respects except no breakfast included and no coffee maker in the room. Hotel is conveniently located near interstate although aways from the center of town. Had free in-room wireless which worked well.

"Adequate stopover"
This was a one night stopover during our vacation. The hotel was adequate for this purpose. The bathroom was very tiny and the carpet had a bit of a dampness to it. However, we were very comfortable and the price was extremely reasonable. We would not hesitate to stay again in similar circumstances.

Excellent! I needed a cheap room that was clean. Red Roof did not disappoint. I had booked my reservation on -line and check-in was quick and friendly. The very sincere clerk offered if I forget anything or had any questions, to please let her know. The room was very clean. There were no sounds from surrounding rooms despite the hotel being nearly […] full. The next morning I asked the desk clerk for a good restaurant for breakfast that was not the usual chains. She quickly gave me coupons to Callihan's which was right across the street. She stated to remember if I ordered eggs, the portions were large. Well she was right. Good hot breakfast omelet, home fries, pancakes and coffee for $5.00 with the special and coupon. Bottomless cup of coffee. So I still saved over hotels that offered "free" breakfasts. "Red Roof Inn - Elkhart, IN"
Good location - right off the Interstate. Clean. Comfortable for one or two night stay. Light bulb was out in one of the lamps - which seems to be a common finding in some of the lower cost hotels - but overall, very satisfied for a one night stay. Front desk gentleman was very efficient and considerate. Nice restaurants very nearby.

The sheets on the bed were soiled and had been made up without changing them from the customer before, I know this because when I pulled down the sheet ( the bedspread had already been turned down and a postcard from the woman Tara that had cleaned it was on the pillow) their were personal hairs of two different varieties in the middle of the sheets […] between the fitted sheet and the top flat sheet. There was also signs of body fluid (if you know what I mean on the bottom fitted sheet). How disgusting is that??? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Læs mere

It is a great place to stay for one or two nights, beds were sort of hard but the room was very clean and after a long night of driving it did the trick. I definitively recommend this place to all you guys reading this, plus the check in took about a minute. Lots of places to eat super close! Hope this helped!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. A bit dated, but overall a nice visit for a one night stay. Ample parking close to interstate
"Not a clean room!"
Upon arrival I headed straight to the bathroom. Urine was on the rim of toilet, not a little but enough I had to wipe it off. I paid for the room and don't feel I should have to think of it as a public restroom. Which I guess we always should think of it like this to be alert for cleanliness. A large pill was on the floor by bed (thank goodness no kids […] were along) and crumbs along dresser that vacuum couldn't reach. The mattresses were very comfortable and if it hadn't been for bathroom issue I wouldn't really have given a bad rating. When I filled out the comment card and turned it in all I was told was that I couldn't be compensated because I booked through this website. "Serves its purpose, clean comfortable"
We needed clean and comfortable place to rest during a long road trip. There is nothing fancy about the hotel, but for the price Abd what we needed it served it's purpose well. Friendly staff, comfy beds, clean and easy to get to from the highway.

I stayed 2 nights at the hotel with my son and our 2 small dogs. I actually live in Elkhart and just needed a place to beat the heat wave. Room was comfortable and air conditioning worked great! "Best of the ultra low budget hotels in Elkhart"
Internet worked well. Fine budget choice for Elkhart, except rugs need to be replaced, as they smell musty. Convenient location off of the expressway, with restaurants within walking distance. No hair dryers in room. No elevator to 2nd floor - older hotel - outside stairs. Very pet friendly, lots of dogs were there.

My husband and I stayed in the Red Roof in for two days and we couldn't take it anymore. The room smelled musty, the bath tub looked disgusting and the air didn't work at all. It was over 90 degrees the entire time we were there so not having air really ruined our time. I will never stay in a Red Roof Inn anywhere now because of this experience. I really enjoy myself when I stay here. The hotel is very close to almost everything.I travel alone and i feel very safe here.When I need a break from my busy life I come here for some R&R.

I only needed a bed to sleep in for one night. The hotel staff were excellent. The motel itself is in need of renovation. The location is very convenient to an array of resturants.

"Needs improvements"
The staff was friendly and courteous, but the hotel was a very old building with no apparent updates. My room had a musty/smoky smell, even though I had a non-smoking room. The bathroom door had a hole in it and the front door locked but didn't completely shut tight. Would not recommend to others.
"The Red Rood Inn in Elkhart - clean and basic"
This hotel had very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and relatively comfortable. The pillows were not the best, and though the mattresses were comfortable, they were very firm. (If you like soft beds, then you may have had problems.) There were just basic provisions in our rooms: a packet of shampoo and a little pouch of kleenex tissue. You had […] to ask for a blow dryer at front desk. Although it had external corridors, the rooms were quiet. There was no good drinking water available. (Tap water was safe to drink, but didn't taste very good. Bring bottled water with you.) Room temperature could be controlled easily in the rooms. The television worked well. There was free Wi-fi available. Our King-bed room had a bar fridge and small microwave, but our parents' double-bed room did not. I stayed here on my solo drive across the country. My main concern in picking a place was it not being creepy. The parking lot was well lit and it was surrounded by other businesses. I could see my car from my window which was nice because all my belongings were pilled inside. The room was simple but clean. "Hotel Worth the Cost"
Service, location, and cleanliness were great. With minor updating, this hotel could be great. There was peeling wallpaper and tub leaked onto the tile floor. Beds were pretty comfortable and price was very reasonable.

Although spartan the hotel had a microwave and mini-fridge in room. The room was quite clean and comfortable. The hotel did not impose a pet charge for my dog. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a well-maintained, comfortable budget hotel.
