Econo Lodge Erie - Erie

We asked for a room with a king-sized bed. There were 3 very skinny pillows on our bed (we ended up folding them in half) and had a very unsatisfactory night's sleep. We have stayed at this hotel a few times before, but not this room. On top of everything else, our room faced the pool area and there were A LOT of unsupervised kids using the pool (screaming, […] etc) that made for a loud, stressful vacation. My Sister, myself, Mom & Grandma are from Ontario, Canada- We came to Erie, PA to do some shopping, and wanted a hotel with a hot tub especially- What an AWESOME setup, the hot tub, sauna, and pool were awesome! Generally the hotel was ok but the bathroom was disappointing. The toilet was way too low for adults and extremely uncomfortable for those of us who are older and suffer from arthritis. The whole bathroom situation was small. The breakfast was good but the room was too crowded with tables so it made it difficult to manoever around everyone. The toaster […] should be placed elsewhere since the waffles are very popular so everyone is huddled in the same spot waiting. The toasters must be old since they take about 3 x as long to make toast . The breakfast room was very uncomfortable with the crowdiness and the temperature. It was very stuffy and warm in the room. The hotel is in a great location and was cheap. The breakfast was decent. Wasn't impressed with the room at all. The quality of the stay os reflective of the price paid.

The room was dirty and smelled bad, we sleeped with our window open all night. We would of switched hotels if we could have, but all the hotels in the are were full. I would never stay at this hotel again.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was great with a fabulous selection of fruit and juices as well as waffles. We also enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of cereals and sweets.

Our room was not cleaned thoroughly tub still had soap residue in soap dish and hair can be found around tub. key card, crumbs and chewing tobacco found lying on floor between end table and bed. Answered our calls promptly to room service when things were broken. The lobby and swimming pool area in beautiful condition.

The room was clean and the staff were courteous. The indoor pool and hot tub were fantastic (it could have only been better by having less screaming children, but what can you do?) The sauna was shut down, but that's not anything that concerns me. The provided breakfast has a good selection - That in itself saves the cost of a morning meal, assuming […] that you're not looking for anything fancy. Also, the location is close enough to Erie attractions, so you don't have to drive 30 minutes to get anywhere. I've stayed here four times and have had no regrets. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place for a few nights. Læs mere

The room was fair size but the shower had visible black mold in several locations and the shower door was just about to fall off. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows might as well been flat worst bed and pillow i've ever been in!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a very nice stay, clean room, pleasent staff, very helful staff, great pool area, close to shopping, resteraunts and about 10 miles from Presq Isle which was our destination. Charlie, Sue and Shirley were extreamly nice and helpful.

I do not recommend this hotel. It smelled strongly of smoke upon entering and was not very clean. We travelled across the country and this was the worst hotel we stayed in, but cost the most.

Terrible location on busy Rte 19. Took several minutes to get a chance to pull into traffic. Free breakfast is a joke; soggy pancakes and waffles, no meat. Sunday breakfast is 7:00 a.m., way too late in the morning. Room had only a shower, no tub, which was a surprise. TV guide was out of date. Telephone had intermittent cord and the voice came in and […] out. Bed was not made after day 1 of a two day stay. Check out Sunday morning there was nobody on duty. Waited five minutes, no attendant, just an empty desk. I found the number and called the motel on my cell phone. Desk phone rang for 1 minute until finally a sleepy attendant came out of a closed door office. Did my business and got out quick, never to return. Læs mere

We were very satisfied with this hotel and would recommend to anyone! We arrived two hours early and did not expect to be able to check in, but the gentleman checked the status of our room and allowed us to check in! The room was clean except for a little pretzle and an ibuprofin tablet lying on the floor right next to the bed(which could be a concern […] if you have children with you). The shower was big and clean besides a little mildew around the shower door. The breakfast was sutible enough to hold us over until lunch. Only complaint is that when we booked this room it said there was a jetted tub in the room, which there was not. Læs mere

We stayed one night on route to Niagara from Washington and all four of us were very pleasently surprised, the weather was terrible and our mood was grumpy after a long drive, but Econolodge Erie was great., even though they are re-decorating, and the complimentary breakfast is second to none. thanks very much.

Was not impressed. Brought my daughter for her 16th bithday to shop in Erie. We found dark hair everywhere. It was in my daughters bedding along with the stain on the sheet (we switched beds or she wouldn't have slept). THere were hairs in the shower on the wall and after using the shampoo the cleaning lady removed it from the shower and didn't replace […] it so upon going to shower the next morning we had no shampoo. No towels at the pool so my daughter asked front desk and was told they wre in the dryer, she asked a half hour later, still in the dryer. We walked back to our rooms dripping wet. Badly in needed of some renovations, shower in yucky condition, carpets have seen better days, overall the hotel is dirty and I felt like they were "surface cleaning and not really getting into any corners or along baseboards etc. For a cheap hotel it is what it is. Next time I would spend a little more and stay somewhere a little nicer and cleaner. Staff was never around, although the cleanng lady made an effort to speak to us....it was most likely to get out of cleaning? Læs mere

great location, close to all the eateries and the splash park but we stayed in a smoking room (seemed to have missed that on the on line booking) so it stank. Wallpaper is peeling off around the window and mold growing, tub is stained, pillows are thin. Breakfast though, was more than expected and the staff were great in there.
