Oakland er propfuld af universiteter, museer og udsøgte butikker og har et væld af kulturelle aktiviteter. Beaux-Arts-komplekset, et 4 hektar stort mindesmærke for stålkongen Andrew Carnegie, huser Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History. The hotel staff is very friendly, our room was very clean, and the breakfast is a nice benefit. However, the room was extremely small especially considering the inflated pricing. We were in Pittsburgh for commencement and the room I booked was very small. I don't believe the beds were queen-size and there was no mini fridge. Also, when I booked the […] room I asked that we be able to put a cot in for a possible 5th person. The 5th person didn't spend the night, but there was absolutely no way we could have put a cot in the room. Again, I believe the hotel took extreme advantage of commencement weekend and charged entirely too much for the room and lack of amenities. Læs mere

"Great hotel, so-so location"
We booked the Hampton because they were the only reasonably-priced hotel in Pittsburgh that allowed pets. The hotel was incredibly nice! Great room with great furnishings, good coffee available all day and a nice continental breakfast. I guess there had to be some kind tradeoff, and it was the location. The hotel was located between several busy streets […] and there was no grass accessible without crossing traffic. If you're travelling with a dog, that might give you pause. Comparatively speaking room rate was competitive and ideally situated for visiting University of Pittsburgh and CMU. The shuttle service is complementary within a 3 mile radius and the shuttle staff members were all enjoyable and knowledgeable. Breakfasts were veyy adequate and what you would expect. The shuttle service and driver were excellent. Breakfast was so-so at best...limited choices, lukewarm food, and crowded kitchen area. During daytime hours, a constant loud rumbling noise was audible from our room and all interior hallways...we were told there was work going on under the hotel in a parking garage, but regardless, it was a significant […] annoyance. We had a good stay with Hampton inn- PUC. However a little pricier than area and accomodations call for but Would definately stay with them again... budget withstanding!

We stayed here on new years eve and the staff was amazing. They provided shuttle service to and from the hotel. The room was great! I'll will be staying there again.

This hotel has a good location, if you are driving. It is not the easiest location to walk to places but it is very centrally located. The hotel was clean and easy to find. The breakfast in the morning is ok, there are a lot of options. I liked the free newspaper every morning. I would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at many Hampton Inn's and this is one of the best. We only stayed one night, but every one of the staff that we encountered was friendly and extremely helpful. I had forgotten my cell phone charger and the night manager even lent me the one they use to charge their headset for the night, knowing that they would not have the use of the headset […] for part of the morning. Their shuttle drivers were prompt, courteous, and highly flexible on location. Breakfast was great and all in all it was a very good experience. "Not bad"
I basically live out of hotels. The room was nice but I made my reservation months ago and got stuck in a smoking room. The parking lot was full and I had to double park and leave my keys at the front desk. They moved my car and left it running along with adjusted my seat and changed my radio station.
"Great hotel - if you are okay with some noise."
We were very happy with our stay here. The free shuttle service is great (note: it only goes around the surrounding neighborhood, not to the airport), and it was also easy to get around PGH by bus. Customer service was fantastic, including letting us do early check-in/late check-out because of flight changes. Free coffee and tea 24 hours a day and 24 […] hour breakfast. Room a little small, but very nice. Only complaint: walls of this hotel are paper thin. You can hear cell phones, TV, conversations, etc from the rooms on either side of you. Pretty clean and quiet room & lobby, comfortable beds, variety of free breakfast fare & coffee/tea/hot-chocolate, easy access from highway, on-site parking, predictable shuttle service from the hotel on the hour, within 2 miles of 3 Universities (easy walk) & shopping. Friendly staff. I would definitely reserve a hotel room here again.

this hotel has instant access to I-379 to downtown and to the South Side. Less than 10 minutes from Squirrell Hill. It is very well maintained and the beds are excellent. One downside is the $14/night parking. Also, there are no restaurants nearby.

Booked through Hotels.com. Room was TINY, bathroom equally small. Only a shower. Other rooms on the floor were normal size. I wonder if I got a 'bad' room because I booked on line. Breakfast was good but crowded. Parking is convienent but signs all over that it is nor secure and park at own risk. Shuttle to anywhere in the area but leaves on the hour. I was quite happy with the condition of the hotel and friendliness of the staff during my stay. It was close to Univ. of Pittsburgh and an easy on and off Rt. 376 from East of the city.
The staff were very friendly and curteous, especially the breakfast staff. We arrived early for the check-in, but they were so kind and accomodating. The location is perfect for University of Pitt.

"great time"
The only thing we could have used was a coin opperated washer and dryer, otherwise we had a great time.
My daughter had to take the LSAT at Duquesne University and the hotel was situated perfectly for the occasion. My husband and I try to always stay at a Hampton wherever it is possible. Overall, all of the Hamptons, we have stayed at, we must say the hotel staff has always been great and helpful. The continental breakfast Hampton serves, by far, is the […] best out there. Came to Pittsburgh for a friend's party and booked the same day... hotel room was clean, staff was decent, and I didn't have any trouble while I was there. Love the way their dog policy is so easy and not a million dollars! They just take your credit card info and only charge it if there's damage. I have a 4 lb. yorkie who's very well potty-trained, […] so that was a great deal for me! Only stinky part is that you have to pay $14 for parking a night, which is very steep in my opinion for a neighborhood that doesn't have suitable parking alternatives, but otherwise, I have no complaints. The hotel staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. They were happy to recommend spots to check out and went out of their way to direct us there. The hotel room was very clean and spacious, the view from the window was very nice. If you're driving, just a warning, the entrance to the hotel is very akward, you can only get to it by […] the one way street at the front of the hotel (to turn into the parking lot), so check the map carefully so you come in the right way. There out of necessity and location. Needed to be close to hospital spent little at hotel but first night was good second night moved rooms moldy shower third night moldy shower and dirty towels exhausted from hospital did not bother with it. But would not recomend. I stay at the beach in the summer for less money and better service and accomendations. If you drive and want to stay there is a $14.00 parking fee. The hotel is nice but you wiil pay to park!

Good location to University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon. Especially convenient if you have a car although cost for parking ($14 a day) is high. I would just use hotel shuttle.

We stayed here on a visit to Pitt. The hotel was very clean and modern looking. The breakfast was very good! I would stay here again.

Hotel was ok, we were charged a fee for parking that was just slipped under our door. No one told us about it and were they not expecting us to drive 10 hours to get there in a car? Where did they want us to park. The Hotel was in a very seedy area where if we did not park in their parking lot I would have been afraid to be mugged. Hotel was clean enough, […] and the service was very friendly. However the sheets did not fit the beds and were falling off the entire night. No, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. Sorry. "Nice hotel... but small"
We always stay at Hampton Inns. This one was as nice as others, but was small. The room was smaller than the ones we are used to and the breakfast area / eating area was tight. The hotel was full on the night we stayed, so it was a tight squeeze to eat breakfast in the morning. However, they have a complimentary shuttle to the city that runs each hour […] (and will pick you up to bring you back to the hotel). That was fantastic! Læs mere
