Days Inn Middletown - New Hampton

We were traveling and only wanted peace and quiet to sleep. When we arrived at 8 pm, 4 young men were hanging out in front of their rooms (adjacent to ours) loudly talking and smoking. They continued to do so and we could hear them clearly outside our door. I called the desk at 9:30 and the clerk came and told them people were trying to sleep. They […] moved inside but due to the thin walls we could still hear them, and as the night wore on they became louder and occasionally pounded on or bounced off the walls. We were too tired to demand a different room and finally they quieted around 1 am and we were able to sleep. Given the hotel was far from full, we should have been assigned a room with at least one room or more between us and other guests. Isn't that standard practice? If not, it should be. Læs mere

Dingy and low quality. Definitely should have spent a bit more to get a nicer place. The room was rather small and had a stale odor to it. You could feel the springs in the mattress. The blanket had a rubbery feel to it, not a fabric feel. Weird. On the brighter side the bathroom was OK and the shower felt good. The continental breakfast was a bit of […] a joke. No fruit and the coffee was warm, not hot. Choice of milk for cereal was either whole or 2%. Out of luck if you want no-fat. 3 small tables filled the eating area. I stayed at Days Inn recently for one night. I had a non smoking room that unfortunately had a small odor of cigarets, however the room was clean the beds were possibly the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the few amenities in the room were a plus. The pool was a great place to cool off. I will be using this Days Inn again and soon.

The room was clean and air conditioned when we arrived. But we were not able to have a refrigerator and microwave as requested. The receptionist was unfriendly and did nothing to accomodate this previously made request. The pool area was clean and comfortable. But the bed was not! We barely slept a few hours and were stiff and achy. The complimentary […] breakfast was ok, we grabbed donuts for the road :) For what we got I think we should have paid $15-20 less. Room was clean and spacious. Some minor cosmetic "issues" that didn't affect quality. Outdoor pool was nice, very clean, but small. perfect for a dip after a long day driving. Breakfast is pastry and cereal - you get what you pay for. Nice "backyard" to stretch your legs. Pleasantly surprised by this motel.

Despite the fact that we requested and were granted a "non-smoking" room, the stench of cigarettes permeated our experience at the Days Inn, Middletown. After we left we were treated to cigarette smell again as we unpacked and discovered that our clothes had retained it. Yes, I get it, it's a Days Inn, not a Hilton. It SEEMED clean enough, but the whole room reeked of moldiness covered up with potpourri. My 3 year old walked in and said "EEw, I don't wanna smell THIS room!" So damp that my sandals were moist in the morning.... eew. But otherwise, okay... passable.

After calling the hotel staff and requesting two non-smoking rooms I was assured I would have them upon arrival. The rooms were prepaid, so I took their word. What a mistake! I was given a smokers room for one, this room smelled like mold and felt damp, the air conditioner unit wasn't suitable as well. The room was uncomfortable and therefore not inviting. […] As soon as you walk into the room all you smelled was smoke, it was disgusting overall. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding felt damp. The second room was to have a king size bed and a sofa bed. I was given the king size bed but not the sofa bed, just another lie.The mattress didn't fit the frame, causing it to slide off, the box spring, and the box spring had holes in it. This hotel definitely did not meet my expectations, in fact it was well below!! The Staff was courteous and friendly but that's about all that was good with the hotel. In all good conscience I could never recommend this hotel to anyone. Læs mere

For the price I paid I had no problems whatsoever. The hotel was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The pool was a real nice plus. I loved this place.

the motel room was clean. The table and chair was a little rickety needed to be tighten the bed was very comfortable my husband and i usually have difficulty sleeping in other beds but not this one. The swiming pool was nice only 3 feet but enough to cool off. I would recommend this days inn for 2-3 day stay. Good value for the money

awesome service and comfort at a very reasonable cost

The Days Inn in Middletown is in a depressed area but I was surprised at how clean the hotel and room was. The bed was comfortable and it was quite. Made for a good nights sleep. The rate was reasonable and there was good coffee and pastries in the morning Overall pleasantly surprised.

I have no complaints. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable. The room was clean, adequate and affordable.

he staff was gracious and very helpful. The room was very adequate. The A/C was not right on top of you so you won't wake up in the middle of the night with icicles on your nose. The only down side was that there isn't very much to do around there, and we only found two restaurants nearby. But for a stopover we were very much satisfied, and will go […] there again on the way to NYC, which is only a hour or so away. Læs mere

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Great price and comes with decent breakfast.

This was really a motel in the old fashioned sense, which I was okay with. However, the wallpaper was peeling and soiled, especially in the bathroom; there were holes in the carpet; the drapes were worn to the point of having small holes; there was no sound-proofing and I was awakened both nights, even after taking an OTC sleep-aid, by the neighbors. […] Additionally, the supposed non-smoking room had a very strong odor of smoke. It was very clean and reasonably priced in comparison to the rest of the hotels in the area. Parking is right in front of your room, doors open to the parking lot. Overall it was a great experience. We didn't use it, but even the pool looked really clean. The air conditioner was a wall mounted one, so it took a bit to get the room to cool off because […] it was not on when we got there. We booked the Days Inn Middletown for a night to rest up after rafting the Delaware River. It was very close to Port Jervis and to all main highways in the area, so it was a very convenient place to shower and rest after a long day on the river. The bathroom was clean and the room was fairly bare-bones, but safe and clean. I should note that there […] is not much to do in the surrounding area. We ate dinner at the ONLY restaurant in the neighborhood - The Cancun Inn. The Mexican menu was extensive and the food was delicious, however it was a little on the expensive side for Mexican food. Das Hotel ist verkehrsgünstig gelegen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind hingegen etwas weiter entfernt. Das Hotel macht einen sehr guten Eindruck, sauber, kompetentes Personal, geräumige Zimmer, alles wirklich sehr gut. Mein pech war nur, dass ich an einem Freitagabend eincheckte und ein Bus mit Hochzeitsgästen im gleichen Motel untergebracht war. Um 23 Uhr […] war die Nachtruhe bis zum frühen Morgen zuende. Anrufe bei der Rezeption nützten leider nichts. Daher war meine allgemeine Zufriedenheit doch sehr eingeschränkt und trotzdem kann ich das Days Inn nur empfehlen. Læs mere
