Generally a high standard hotel with a central location in Manhattan. Service fine. Some rooms however do have a lot of noice from outside coolers.

Vi boede på dette dejlige hotel, 11 dage i starten af aug(Alder 24 og 26 år). det ligger dejlig central. der ligger indkøbcenter, kiosk samt kaffe bar lige under hotellet. virkelig god service på hotellet. kan klart anbefales. der er tilknyttet en virkelig god resturant til hotellet, og er ligger også en del lige i området(inde for 500m) er man til […] en lile drink om aften er der god mulighed på taget sammen med det lidt finere folk fra new york. Jeg tror det her var et mere stille område end tættere på Times Square. Lige overfor Lincoln Center, så suværent til at sidde ved fontænen og at se på mennesker. Nydeligt værelse. Noget jeg ikke kunne finde på at spørge om er ikke at have en indvendigt tilstødende værelsesdør, da rygningen og musikken i værelset ved siden af (alle værelser var ikke-ryger […] værelser) var mere tydelig... Personalet tog sig af problemet næste morgen og der var stille og roligt efter det. Meget lille pool på taget med to trapper til at komme derop. Dette hotels beliggenhed er storartet. Badeværelset i mit værelse var dog for krampet; meget lille, men meget moderne ikke desto mindre. Ville anbefale dette hotel til hvem som helst, der vil nyde Lincoln Center, der ligger lige tværs over gaden!

Storslået boutique hotel, beliggende i et nydeligt kvalitetsbetonet område, tæt på Central Park og Lincoln Center. Hotellet er smukt og designet til den n'te grad.

Poolen var lukket ved ankomst - ikke godt, skulle angiveligt være åben. Havde et meget mørk internt familie værelse, kunne ikke se noget som helst, værelset var så mørkt. Is var ikke frit tilgængeligt og noget af personalet havde en attitude. Tredje besøg i New York, dårlig service og dårlig kunde service. Jeg vil ikke vende tilbage.

Vi elskede vores ophold hos the Empire. Vores værelse var på 15. etage, med udsigt til Lincoln Center. Eneste klage var at værelset var for varmt, airconditioningen virkede ikke særligt godt, så vi blev nødt til at åbne vinduerne, hvilket gjorde det støjende på værelset. Da jeg ankom på mit værelse, havde jeg hverken håndklæder, lagen eller dyne, men så snart jeg tilkaldte housekeeping, var de hurtige til at forsikre mig om, at mit værelse var som det skulle være, da jeg ankom.

Dette er et tilfælde af suveræn beliggenhed med ubehjælpsom management. Roomservice, som aldrig ankom, et wake-up call, der aldrig blev modtaget og et personale, der var mere interesseret i at småsnakke blandt dem selv end at hjælpe gæster.

Hotellet er et belejligt et meget tæt på Lincoln Center. Det er grunden til vi valgte det. Jeg fandt bruser håndtagene for høje til at nå, knagerækken var for høj til at hænge tøj på. Det her sted er godt for folk, der er højere end 172cm. Jeg er 154cm. Jeg ville ikke anbefale stedet til mine lave venner.

Vi fejrede vores 2. bryllupsdag og medbragte begge vores Yorkies, da hotellet var kæledyrsvenligt. Min mand ringede til conciergen, dage forinden, for at få champagne og blomster anbragt i vores værelse, men de ringede aldrig tilbage. Vi checkede ind i vores queen size værelse, beskrevet som "hyggeligt", pakkede ud og tog ud for at spise. Da vi kom […] tilbage et, par timer senere, fandt vi en seddel, hvorpå der stod "Jeres hunde har gøet hele aftenen!!" og de havde låst os ude af vores værelse. Vi gik ned til receptionen og talte med en kvinde, Justina, og hun sagde, at hun havde modtaget klager fra andre gæster over vores gøende hunde, så hun gik ind i vores værelse (der havde et "privat"-skilt på) for, at forsøge at klare hundene på egen hånd. Virkelig? En fremmed går ind på en andens værelse uden tilladelse, for at berolige dem? Utroligt. Hun sagde også, at jeg skal styre mine hunde og at det var grunden til, at hun havde låst os ude (for at styre mine 2,5kg yorkies?) og hun var ubehøvlet og respektløs. Jeg kender mine hunde. De gør lidt, så giver de op og slapper af. Men hvis de tror, at nogen er ved, at bryde ind i deres værelse, gør de jo. Jeg bad om, at tale med lederen, men fik at vide, at han først kom mandag. Næste dag spurgte jeg en anden leder, om vi kunne bytte værelser, til mindre gene for de gæster, som havde klaget. Måske til et hjørneværelse. Han sagde, at et hjørneværelse, ville koste ekstra for at flytte til. Jeg bad ham igen og igen om en løsning og han foreslog, at vi blev på værelset med hundene hele tiden. Small room but it was laid out so well it didn't seem to matter to us. Staff was on top of it, but Empire's doormen ROCK! Fast movers yet VERY helpful with directions. One even reported a shower handle problem I had by calling maintenance on his cell phone since I was in rush and didn't want to wait in check-in line in the lobby. The Empire Hotel is extraordinarily pretentious; very, very loud; the rooms have no dresser or nightstand drawers for undergarments and socks; they have a tiny, far too shallow closet that wrinkles one's suits; and looks as though it has not been redesigned since the 1970's. In addition, the staff is condescending and rude.

Not a great stay at hotel. Everything is nickeled and dimed even the WiFi. Didn't have towels, and the worst part of stay was the missing shower door,(not bathroom door) must have been removed for maintaince?????? Next time I will stay at other hotel. Empire did have interesting design and style, just poorly maintained.

The worst hotel that we have been in new york. the matress was very poor as the service. the superior king was all ecept superior.

The reception is really cool and nice, but the rooms need a renovation. Nice staff in the reception. My daughter, 15 years, was really disappointed that she couldn´t go up on the roof top bar to take some photos. You were not allowed under 21 years... Bad service, and the doorman wasn´t that friendly.

I had a two night stay. The initial room was was very small and not well kept. The management changed my room for the second night, and did so politely. The location is great. The rooms can be very small and noisy. The staff is quite accomodating.

we had a great view of the Lincoln center as well as the park in front, I highly recommend that view!

This was my first time staying at the Empire Hotel, and I would DEFINITELY come stay again. The staff and management were very welcoming and accommodating. The location is very central and convenient without being in the noisy hustle and bustle of the Time Square hotels. Positives: good location, reasonably priced, well decorated, very comfortable beds, clean rooms and good service. Negatives: Queen standard room is tiny and very hot without AC on full blast.

No problems what so ever.

The hotel is amazing, the rooms are small but that's NYC standards. The staff is very helpful, and the location is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

Smaller intimate hotel in great location right across from Lincoln Center. Renovated nicely since I stayed there a few years ago. Rooms are tiny (But aren't all in NYC?), but clean and comfortable. The desk clerk during check-in was rude. Since this was our first introduction to the hotel, our stay started on a negative note. Our room did not have a bathtub - not sure if this is true for all rooms or not. There were issues with the bathroom plumbing (toilet and shower drain backed-up). As you can see although I believe this Hotel was well located for our needs and clean in poresentation. The Bar staff were very accomodating and the housekeeping staff were lovely. However our stay was spoilt by the heavy handed rudness of the reception staff. Make sure if you ever book at this holtel that they are not filming some trashy gossip show […] in the bar/lounge are because if you do you will be banned from the are till they leave. You will be moved on by rude security guards and the services you expected when booking were withdrawn. As an alternative to the free wifi in the now off limits area your are directed to use the Starbucks next door or "in your room" at and extra cost. In addition if you wanted to relax in the lounge area with a drink at the end of a day you again could not and were told to order room service again at an extra cost. While this hotel was conveniently located to Lincoln Center, it was staffed by incompetent, unprofessional personnel who could not offer satisfaction (except to discount our room for only one night) for the discomfort we had by an overheated room. A manager should have been called and offered a better solution. In addition, Gossip Girls was filming […] and their crew had more attention and respect than my family, the paying customers. I spent a significant amount of money for my stay at Empire (stayed 3/25 - 3/29 - two rooms) and again, the overheating of the room did not match the cost of the stay. I was very disappointed indeed. Been here several times now. Perfect location if you are going to the Met. Best bars, both rooftop and lobby. Too bad they were filming a TV show in the lobby the day we were there. Only complaint was the communication between the hotel and the valet service. It took over an hour to get our car.

The hotel was well located for our activities at the art gallery. The staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were small but sufficient and comfortable for our short stay. The shower was difficult to operate without getting soaked before you were ready to bathe. Shower training might have been needed! We were initially pleased with the lovely top-floor room with a view in the hotel, but that came to an end when the roof-top club got cranking after midnight and until as late as 4 AM once. The loud music and dancing above made sleeping impossible. And the clean-up crews were sliding tables and chairs around by 5:30 am. Housekeeping was inconsistent […] too. They often didn't have bath mats or washcloths, even if we asked housekeeping for them. To avoid paying the hotel's high in-room wifi connection charges, we used the free service in the lobby except for the day a movie / TV show was being filmed there and we were restricted from the area. The room was pretty small but adequate. The service was friendly. I got nothing bad to say about this allthough i wasn't blown away either

This was my first time visiting with my children ages 20,12,11. The hotel was very nice and located close to subway line. Great front desk help and nice bar downstairs. Great neighborhood with wonderful restaurants right downstairs and down the street. Only sad part was the pool was closed and the outside deck on the roof was only open at night-no  […] kids. I had called the hotel a day earlier warning that I would arrive late in the AM the next day. They said that they would try to let me check in early. Upon arrival at 11:30, I was told that I could not check in until 3 PM. That was a downer since I had jet lag and needed to clean up. Not a great place, but decent for this rate in New York. Room was small, hotel getting old. top level terrace closed in winter. Meanwhile it is ideally placed for tourism in the city.

I stayed here the weekend of the NYC Half Marathon because it was within blocks of the start of the race. I requested a quiet room, and the front desk immediately met my needs, giving us an internal room at the end of the hall. It was amazingly quiet for a NYC hotel room. This hotel has a great location just across from Lincoln Center. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small. The only problem was that we had trouble getting hot water in the sink and it took a while for the hot water to come to the shower. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

We like this hotel when we come for events at Lincoln Center since it is right across the street. Main dislike about the hotel is how high everything is! Make-up mirror and door hooks obviously placed by someone quite tall. Also wish there were drawers instead of just shelves in the closet-chest. We Hardly slept the entire night since there was a very loud gathering outside our door. We called security twice. The first time at 1:30 a.m. the second time at 4:00 a.m. The manager was supposed to call me. I am still waiting for the phone call. Even though the location is so convenient to Lincoln Center, I will never stay here again.

We booked to stay at empire for their rooftop bar but my husband was denied access due to the fact he wasnt wearing black shoes but because he was wearing grey dressy shoes. We tried to speak to someone at the front of the hotel but said they were separate from the rooftop bar. Now how is that if the rooftop bar is a part of your hotel facility? We […] paid money to stay at the hotel but others who werent even guests and didnt wear dressy black shoes were able to get in? First time I stayed in a NYC hotel, so was surprised by how small the room was for the high price. Now understand that is typical in NYC. We had three people in the room and only 2 towels and wash cloths. Requested additional towels/cloth multiple times but never got them. The first morning there was only cold water. Found out later that if one takes […] a shower at a peak time, to wait for a while for other rooms to finish showering and I'd get hot water. Have stayed in other luxury hotels in different cities and the staff could not do enough for their guests, with little perks... expect to pay for everything here and WiFi prices are per device not room. If you go to the Mezzanine you can pick up the WiFi from Starbucks next store. I saw a doorman several times who never opened the heavy front door for a guest. This is not a hotel with perks and guest consideration. Only thing they consider is how much more $$ they can't get from the guests. Nice hotel. Was annoyed when I was told that my room would not be ready for 2 hours when we got there 2 hours after we were originally told we could check in, so I went to talk to someone else & they "suddenly" had a room available! Also on Wednesdays from 6-7 pm there are free drinks on the rooftop deck......no one told us that when we checked in. […] We asked when we saw a line outside & by then there was no way we were getting up there. Small but modern, clean room in a decent location to the ANC studios where we were heading. The front desk people could be MICH friendlier but, hey what should I have expected in NYC?!?!
