Avalon Hotel - Miami Beach

Godt hotel til prisen, der ligger perfekt i forhold til stranden, og diverse attraktioner på Miami South Beach. Mht til parkering anbefales at bruge det nærliggende parkeringshus i 7th Street og ikke hotellets valet parking. Parkeringshuset er døgnovervåget, og en del billigere.

The Avalon hotel er et udemærket hotel, som har en fantastisk beliggenhed lige ud til Ocean Drive og side om side med alle de andre art deco hoteller i området. Vi havde værelse ud til bagsiden og hørte ikke så meget til det enorme leben derude. Værelset var akkurat stort nok til de 2 rimeligt komfortable queen side senge, men der var ikke ret meget […] gulvplads og kufferten måtte dermed op på sengen såfremt der skulle noget i den eller ud af den. Det var rigtig skønt at vågne op og kunne gå direkte ud til stranden efter en dejlig morgenmad. Ligeledes var det dejligt at kunne gå direkte hjem efter et godt aftenmåltid på en af de mange restauranter på Ocean Drive. Parkering kan man løse på 2 måder. Enten betale pr. Døgn for Valet Parkering eller køre lidt ned af 7th. Street, som Avalon ligger på hjørnet af, og parkere i et offentligt p-hus til hvor der betales pr. Time dog med max. døgnet, som ligger et godt stykke under Valet Parkering. Køretid fra Miami International Airport er iøvrigt 15-20 minutter. Læs mere

We enjoyed our stay at Avalon Hotel (3 nights). We got value for our money and the restaurant is really fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Ocean Drive er jo adressen!!!!! Fantastisk restaurant, men billig er den så sandelig ikke. Art Deco og fantastisk strand.

Nice rooms and breakfast area, but very busy lobby and front terrace when it is turned into a restaurant in the evening. Food and particularly drinks have become expensive at South Beach since we were here 5 years ago.

Dejligt lille hyggeligt hotel, men super service, og en beliggenhed som er helt perfekt til en mini-strandferie. Hotellet er lidt slidt "på den fede måde" og meget rent og pænt - samlet set et hyggeligt hotel med sjæl. Værelserne er fine men lidt små men det betyder ikke så meget for det er hyggeligt - og rent. Vil gerne bo her igen.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel. Great restaurant. Not exactly sound-proof, so pretty hard to sleep before 2 am when the discos along the Ocean Blvd settle down

This trip was just for a quick getaway to the beach and to the Florida Keys. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms had been very well maintained for a hotel of this age. The service was absolutely amazing. Very accommodating and fun. Room was small, but that's ok for a hotel built in the Art Deco era. Bed was very comfortable and with ear plugs, we slept sound. The Avalon staff was terrific. The rooms are acceptable for an old building-not overly large or luxorious but clean with a comfortable bed. My issue was with South Beach. Parking is a nightmare. There's a steady stream of drunken revelers and police activity. It was difficult to sleep with all that noise.

We try to get to SoBe once a year and love to stay at the Avalon. It's a great old art deco place with lots of atmosphere. Right across from the beach on Ocean and in the heart of the historical art deco district. With so much to do right there, we rarely use our car for the 3 days we stay. The breakfast was included in our reservations. It was fresh […] and plentiful and even had a omelet station. Everything was delicious. I only stayed 2 nights, it was clean and in a great location. It's not a luxury hotel but to be honest, who spends a lot of time in their hotel bedroom when on holiday? This is is a basic hotel. the room is small, no frills.. the service of the staff was outstanding. everyone was so nice and helpful. the room was cleaned everyday. There have a beautiful restaurant located in the hotel Lobby. the location cant be beat, right on Ocean drive, across the street from the beach. in the heart of all the action

While the location cannot be beat, the condition of the hotel in NO WAY justifies the price. For a 2-night stay I shelled out nearly $700! The room was TINY and quite old. Serious updating is needed. The staff was extremely helpful and professional.

Although not directly on the beach the Avalon is a nice place to stay in the middle of everything that is SoBe. Def pricey but rooms are very comfortable and staff are helpful.

food was amazing. location very good. we went there lastweek, perfect timing for art deco, we had so much fun. couldn't ask for more for the price we paid for a southbeach hotel. i will stay at avalon with my next visit there

Great location in Art Deco area. Stayed three nights from Sunday to Wednesday and had a great time taking in the sounds and lights of south beach. It's perfect if you like to enjoy music as its right amongst it all. Great breakfast, only way to park car is valet so add extra dollars to budget. I will stay at the Avalon again if ever in Miami.

Very helpful and accommodating staff - gave us VIP passes to clubs that got us in without cover charges. Great, free continental breakfast. Perfect location on Ocean Drive.

Our room was smaller then we expected but reasonably clean. The stuff was ok but not extra nice. Very conveniently located in the middle of action on Ocean drive. At night it was pretty noisy from the street. Next time, I would probably find some other place to stay.

The staff was very friendly at check in and the whole time we were there. The location is perfect, being across the street from the beach and close to all the activity of Ocean Dr. The hotel is older but our room was very clean and comfortable and we will definitely there again.

The hotel has a lot of potential, but needs SERIOUS redecorating and updates. It was really more hostel-like than a hotel....I wouldn't recommend staying here or stay here again.
