Sheraton Suites Plantation, Ft. Lauderdale West - Plantation

I stay at this Sheraton on a regular basis and continue to go back. For me, it's the best hotel in the area. Staff is friendly and efficient. I will return again -

Lobby is nice and remodeled, but room and halls need to change carpets as they look very old, as well as some furniture.

Good clean hotel in good location for shopping and acess to airport and cruise terminal but you need a car. Reasonable price. Late check in (after 3:00PM) an inconvenience. Restaurant has reasonable menue but is not always open. Staff friendly.

We were on the last night of our trip from key west headed back to ft. lauderdale to fly home and needed a place last minute. We were able to book the king suite for quite a bit less money than many of the airport hotels and was quite pleased. It is only about 15 minutes form the airport. The pool was nice and the fitness room, though small was decent for a hotel fitness center. I would stay here again if ever needing a room near the ft. lauderdale airport. Free wifi was only available if you sat in the lobby. The price per day for in-room wifi was $10.

Old, don't smell good, my room is 120 steps from the elevator, the clean is not good at all

This hotel is old and needs updating. There was a smoke detector in the room with lights that blink every few seconds - made it difficult to sleep - had to cover it. Service for Buffett Breakfast was not good! The room was clean but replacement of towels/coffee etc everyday was not consistent. The hotel was fantastic. The service was fabulous and the room was very spacious. We went for a shopping weekend and it was very convenient to shopping malls. The bartender was wonderful and friendly. Thanks Sheraton for a fabulous stay and we definitely will return.

I choose this hotel because of its location, the good reviews and a promotion on the internet. The room that we got was very big, with a sitting area separated from the room itself. On this sitting area there was a mini-kitchen that helped us a lot during our 11 nights stay. With the refrigerator and the microwave we were able to eat inside the room […] several times. There is also a sink. We used the pool and jacuzzi on the roof top and we found everything proper. We also used the PC's provided by the hotel in the Bar area, for free, which allowed me to get on the internet. I understood that there are some charges for internet and even local calls in the room. The location could not be better for shopping. Near to Sawgrass Mall, Westfield Mall (ex- Broward Mall) and all other shopping areas of Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale and even North Miami (the Aventura Mall). Obviously that you need a car to stay at this location, I would not rely on public transports, shuttles (I can't tell), but most of the times there are taxis waiting near the front door. Driving South on University Dr. there are lots of restaurants and even a big supermarket. There is also a Walgreens next to the hotel (5 min. on foot). The front desk staff seemed genuinely friendly. We tried the hotel breakfast once, but we don't recommend it. I would like very much to use this hotel again, during my annual trip to Florida. Læs mere

Nice hotel with nice rooms and a nice restaurant for breakfast. The pool on the roof is very nice The hold shoping mall that is attached (and closed) to the hotel is a bit spooky but from what I understand it s about to be destroyed. I had a room on the far end of my floor and sad enough the only elevator (or regular stair) was at the middle of the […] floor ... so a big 0 for that. All in all nice hotel Læs mere

But we paid extra for the deluxe VIP room and the TV in the sitting area did not work nor could they fix it ... The lounge closed early (last call was at 10:20pm) even though the bar was packed. Why not stay open and make the $$? Otherwise the room was clean and workers pleasant.

the hotel was impeccably clean. the staff were very helpful and the room was extremely pleasant and comfortable.

This hotel is great if you want to save a little money on lodging and spend the rest on entertainment. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The suites are roomy. However, the property is starting to show its age. Staying here is a little like dating someone over 50, with the lights low and a martini they actually don't look too bad.

I went here to get away from the family and friends. I just chilled out. for the price, it wasn't too bad. just book early and its going to pay off within mins. i wish i could of been there longer. btw bring ur gaming system with hdmi for better experince of watching movies with hotels expense.

Very nice room! Staff very friendly however there was a long line in check-in!

The hotel was quite comfortable. Enjoyed the room. The only complaint was no wireless in the rooms.

Gorgeous hotel room. Nice and clean. Does NOT have that old dated look that I don't like. The room is like a small apartment. The doors close to section off the bedroom, and the double sinks are separate from the toilet & bath. We were on the executive floor. Breakfast buffet was decent. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel employees went "out of their way" to be courteous as well as helpful. Room was incredible. Shopping mall within 5 min walk, namebrand drugstore just around the corner. All in All EXCELLENT experience. About the only things I can complain about, if one was looking to be"close" proximity to ocean, its not and we checked out on Sat, Nov 12 and subsequently […] found a $50 charge to our CC when arriving home. Called and was told that this was "customary" and would disappear in 2-3 business days if room was in satisfactory condition. I dont necessarily have a prob with that, IF it is explained at the checkout/checkin process. BTW we are at 4 business days and it still hasnt "disappeared" and we only stayed for 1 nite. How quick might one be able to determine "satisfactory condition"? Læs mere

This is a beautiful old hotel who wears its age well. My husband and I had a wonderful time, would stay there again.

The room was up to date, clean, and comfortable. My stay was enjoyable and would stay there again.

The Hotel has a excellent location close to thee highway with plenty of parking. If you wish to have dinning options their are any places to eat close by with also the convenieice of Broward Mall close by for shopping

This is a very nice hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had breakfast in the hotel located in the lobby food was good but a little pricey. The roof top pool is a little beat up looking but still cool to hang out there. The gym did not have much equipment to work out with but it's a hotel gym. Good clean room with 4 huge pillows for one king. friendly front desk. Four year old slept on sleeper so can't rate it. Would definitely stay here again to see another game in miami. Only ~15 min drive to sun life stadium

5 day stay in room 416 had black mold on the ceiling over the tub, paper and silver ball in plain view on tub side of toilet. They cleaned up on Friday and cleaned the bath room. Iron was broke and would not work as a steam iron due to the Iron being broken also the shower head was broken, would not adjust.

This is a very nice hotel - clean, well maintained, everything you'd expect from a Sheraton. But what's with the buildings to which it's attached? The hotel is the middle piece of a conference center that appears to be abandoned, discarded and derelict. Peeling exterior paint. Shuttered doors, empty fountains filled with fallen tiles and broken stonework. […] Moss growing on the exterior. It's as if the hotel has a magic spell on it, preserving it while all around it slowly collapses back to swamp like some kind of Dorian Grey conjoined triplets. I was completely satisfied with every aspect of the hotel, EXCEPT THE INTERNET ACCESS!!!! i feel that a hotel that prides itself on having "EXCEUTIVE SUITES" should, in this new age of technological advancement, have wireless internet access by now, even if only on the Executive Floors!!

The raiting of this hotel should be upgrated!! 3 and 1/4 stars is too low.

We got a great rate on our room and had a great stay! We would definitely go back to the Sheraton in Plantation again if given the chance. The staff were all great and extra friendly and we felt they went out of their way to provide excellent care!

Pro's: Clean, comfortable, great swimming pool and jacuzzi, close to restaurants and shopping center Con's: no free WiFi internet, very expensive room service

Nice hotel conveniently placed between the city and sawgrass mall. Easily accesible and good value for money. Service was good and the front desk team were pleasant and helpful. Would stay again and probably will later in the year when we return to the area.

I was very satisfied with the hotel. We were only there 1 night but we found the room very comfortable. The bed was great and I had a restful sleep. The room was divided with a sitting area and a sleeping area with a separate TV in each area. There was a double door that could be closed between the 2 areas which could make it nice for families. Hotel was in very excellent condition. te only issue we had eas the room was not cleaned on Saturday. Someone was in the room but normally they give you an opportunity to leave so they can come in. This was not done and we had to use same towels the next day.
