I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in January 2013 for one night with my husband and infant son. We had an early morning flight and wanted to stay somewhere that we could do the park-n-fly. I was annoyed that there was a bright street light right outside of our room and the blinds did not close the entire way so our room never got dark. There were blackout […] shades, however there was about an inch gap between the shades so they still let in a lot of light. The bathroom was very dated and did not feel clean. My husband and I opted not to shower as the bathroom was not visible dirty but had the appearance that it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The breakfast was great- good variety, filling and plenty of options. The shuttle service was fine except you could not reserve a spot on it and we needed to take the first shuttle available in the morning if we were going to get to the airport in time. The shuttle was completely full and it was a little stressful to make sure that we were on the shuttle. The pick-up after our return was great and timely, no complaints. While we were pleased with the parking and airport transport, we were disappointed in the hotel as a whole. Læs mere

My stay was most comfortable and convenient to my work location. The staff is very pleasant and most helpful when an inquiry is made. I am most appreciative of the food choices provided and that the breakfast bar opens at 5 am as it supports my early morning schedule.

If you are a business traveler and have business in this area, it would be fine. If you are a family like us and need a nice hotel for a reasonable price, KEEP GOING! This hotel is located in the middle of office park wasteland. Nothing around except an Exxon with a Subway inside and mile after mile of office buildings. No restaurant on site, no restaurants […] at this exit and no restaurants at the next exits. They actually have a page printed up with directions to the mall and restaurants because they are so far away and no one can find them. Also, they screwed up our room and we did not get the right one. They were nice enough to fix it though and we could live with what we got. Free breakfast on Friday was awesome! Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs even Turkey sausage. Saturday and Sunday it was a different story. NO EGGS, NO SAUSAGE. Watered down oatmeal and make your own waffles. NO donuts nothing. We had to stop over 1 night in DC when we stayed at this property. The free shuttle is a high value to us because we travel standby a lot. The hotel clerk and breakfast attendant were very helpful and friendly. The room and property was clean and modern looking. The best value was being able to take a shuttle back to the airport and catch a 50cent shuttle […] ride to the Smithsonian Air&Space Museum which had free entrance. Disappointed with quality of facility. Heater was loud and carpet needs to be replaced. Hard to believe there was only one elevator for the number of rooms in bldg. Front Desk staff was great and breakfast was decent.

It wasn't a bad place. In fact, we stayed there twice. It is difficult to find and staff wasn't helpful with directions. The first time they couldn't tell me how to get to the hotel so the second time I used a GPS. Needed to leave on an early flight and the shuttle doesn't operate on a 24 hour schedule. Not a bad place to say however

I reserved this as I was picking up a passenger from the airport and didn't want to drive at 0430 on Christmas Morning. Took the shuttle to the airport and returned with my passenger. No shuttle service midnight until 5am, so our flight was late and we had to spend $20 for a cab, breakfast was ok, a bit noisy starting around 6am for flights taking off

The lack of a cafe or dining facilty was unfortuate. Food (chinese or pizza) had to be ordered in. Breakfast was marginally poor. All fast food

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty great too, ample selection of yummy items. The only thing I missed was a fridge and a microwave in the room. That would have been a nice touch.

Perhaps it was because we stayed on Thanksgiving weekend, but the rates were amazingly low. As we got out of our car a big jet flew overhead going to Dulles Airport, but inside we never heard a plane flying. It was terrific. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. This was one of the cleaness rooms, I have been in. If the bathroom is not clean I feel disguisted with the hotel. This is definitely a well kept hotel.

This is a nice, affordable hotel in the midst of some very expensive ones. If you want waited on hand and foot then go someplace else. They have a good breakfast and you can get to Dulles airport in 5 mnutes through the back gates. It doesn't have room service but so what. Stay was very good at this hotel. We stayed here for two nights and there was no problem. Only thing is if you are visiting DC then it's bit far from city as well as Vienna metro station. End up spending an hour or so travelling. However nightly rate was really good compared to other hotels in DC. Nice short distance from the actual airport, making it easy to fly at inconvenient times (my flight was at 5:50am). The hotel shuttle starts at 4:30am, and during the day the shuttle also takes you to and/or from the car rental locations. Adequate for overnight stay purposes

We used this hotel as a base for the first week of our stay in the USA, traveling into Washington DC daily by bus. We did this because it was much less expensive than central Washington hotel prices. Added to this because we are both Seniors the bus fare per person per day was reduced from $6 to $3 each way. The Hotel shuttle bus made this easy by dropping […] us off at the right bus stance whenever we wanted to go, and collecting us at the end of our return journey (You phone reception to summon it no cost except for the phone call) We found reception very helpful especially "David". We had a hire car for the following two weeks, and booked into the same hotel for the night before our return flight to the UK. The car Hire companies all have offices at Dulles so car pick up and drop off where easy. Especially because we again used the hotel shuttle to get us to and from the car hire office. Pros. A comfortable quality hotel, good continental breakfast facility, helpful staff, and excellent easy transport links to Washington. Cons. No Hotel Restaurant, No restaurant within walking distance. My girlfriend and I planned a weekend trip to see the Holocaust museum. The hotel was in a perfect location and the cost unbeatable!! Staff was very pleasant on arrival, room was clean and ready and breakfast was decent. I would recommend hotel for weekend trips or short stays. Kudos to Fairfield Inn for taking care of two travelers from DA BRONX:}

For a Marriott I thought it would be more comfortable it was good but it was just like a days inn. But it was nice, there wasn't anything around, had to drive 15 mins to get to a restaurant. We only stayed 1 night because we had to catch a plane in the morning, but it was good for a 1 nighter

It was an enjoyable 3 day stary where my bed was extremely comfortable along with the pillows. Check in was a breeze as well as check out. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Will stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. We had requested a roll-away bed beforehand, but when we got there, it wasn't in the room. We requested it from the concierge upon our arrival (we arrived after 11pm) and we had to call 45 min later to remind them. They finally came through at around 12:30 AM. The room was very clean and up-to-date. We used the […] pool in the AM. It was nice and empty. The breakfast was also nice. A mix of waffles, bagels, toast and cereals. It was basic, but nice. Very convienent to the airport. Gave us nearly an extra two hours of sleep before catching a 6:30 flight. Would have had to rise at home around 3:00AM to get to the airport on time. Instead, we got up at 4:45AM.

Awful. Hotel is third rate (at first rate prices). no amenities in room. For example, no place to put toiletries in bathroom, no suitcase racks, sparse furnishings. Very dissatisfied....there are much better places to stay near the airport
