The hotel was perfectly comfortable, but the cleanliness was only ok. The location is fantastic, if a little loud at times. They got my reservation slightly wrong - I asked for one double bed and they gave two twins, but they were very quick and pleasant about correcting it. The hotel itself was very good. Good location, good food, good service. We had a room on the sixth floor but could hear everything that went on in the street and the music in one of the bars just boomed through the hotel until three in the morning

Overall I was so disappointed with this hotel. The indifference of the hotel staff before and during our stay was so uncalled for - especially as this was our first weekend away for ages, let alone being our first wedding anniversary. Reception staff were very good. The cleaner kept coming to the room and butting in to clean it. The room was comparitively small.

The hotel Is comfy and warm however is a bit 70's, the breakfast is plentiful, and nice, and the executive (business class) rooms overlook the fountains. A nice hotel If a little expensive, although Norway is not a place to save money!

Old, tired and like most hotels in Norway has no motivation to improve as there are not enough rooms in any city. The staff are generally unfriendly with a few exceptions that glow like a diamond in the dark. Oh, I forgot to mention, hideously expensive....the room, the bar, a gin & tonic cost £ 18. The hotel is perfectly located, in front of where the airport busses stop, on the main square and main shopping street and within 5 minutes walk to the main nightlife area and the historic centre. The train station is also less than 10 minutes walk. The staff are friendly and efficient. However, the hotel is in serious need of renovation, as it feels […] very old. The room decoration is a dreadful mix of overly colourful styles which really don't go with one another and the bathrooms are rather tight. The hotel was a bit dated, especially in the common areas, but is in a great area of town--only a five minute walk to Bryggen and the Fish Market, etc.--and had everything we needed: a comfortable room, an okay breakfast, swimming pool, play room for the kids. We would definitely stay there again.

Now taken over by the Radisson Blu, this hotel management no longer care about its upkeep. When taken to our room after check in we found it had not been cleaned from previous guests - after a wait, we were taken to a second room, but the pants presser was broke. Waiting again, we went to a third room - pants presser still broken, also the fourth. At […] this point the gentleman from the reception checked rooms on his own, and our fifth had pant a new and unused pantspresser. After we had unpacked, we put a glass on the table which rolled right off - one leg was shorter than the other. A new one was later was delivered - I asked: when your staff dust, how can they not know the uneaveness of the table.? The machine offering drinks and nuts was also broken. The following day, a bowl of fruit arrived with a note of apology. We met up with family (two more rooms in our group, booked separately ) and they had the same experience. We dined in the hotel dining room - there were no other guests there. They offered what the Bregenase knows best: cooking fish, which three of us ordered (halibut). It smelled like seven day old fish and was completely dry. Staff removed the charges from our bill. The hotel - which is VERY expensive, has one good thing going for it: The buffet breakfast,. We arrived early from the airport on the shuttle and asked if we could leave our cases. No better than that they checked us in there and then and made the room available. I then asked re bag storage the next day as we had quite a gap between check out time. Here again the receptionist was superb. The Radisson chain is very popular in Scandinavia. Many different properties. The room was decorated like the 70's era. Probably never updated as you could see from the carpeting in the rooms and public areas. Very popular with the tour buses. Lots and lots of tourists. It was warm when we visited Bergen. Since our room did not have AC we had to open the window to cool the room. Immediately below our room was a taxi stand. Because people lined up for the taxi well into the morning (+3AM each of the 3 nights we stayed) it was VERY noisey. As a result a decent night's sleep was impossible.

Location was good, but condition of rooms is not acceptable. I have never seen bathrooms so small and uncomfortable. Mattresses are not real and condition of room very substandard for price. Did not feel clean Would not retun to radisson or recommend to other travelers. This was the most expensive hotel during our trip to Norway, but we enjoyed it. They first gave us a room facing the inner court, which was dark , stuffy and small. We asked to replace it and were given a bigger room facing the Ole Bul square. Bergen is beautiful and the location of the hotel is very convenient for exploring it.

Desk was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions. The entire well trained staff did their jobs and were very kind and helpful. A note of warning. The rooms are smaller than some at this price. but I found them charming. They retained the flavor of the old hotel when they remodeled. Yet you have all the amenities of a new hotel. The hotel was in a good location but it is tired and in need of an upgrade. Also there is no air conditioning and on a warm summer night you have the option of boiling to death or opening the window and not getting any sleep due to the noise from the streets. This is an excellent hotel for business or leisure. We stayed in two "Business Class" rooms which were not cheap, but nothing is cheap in Norway. The staff are excellent, polite and very helpful. The location could not be better - right in the center of town close to many museums and shopping. The hotel is well suited for families as they have free […] ice cream for kids, a large play room with many toys and activities. By European standards, the rooms are large and comfy. They only bad thing I can say is that the property was clearly built in the 1960's and it shows in the hallways and crevices of the property. Interesting smells thoughout the hotel, lighting is poor and while the property could use a complete renovation, the rooms are clean and comfortable and offer many facilities. Breakfast is acceptable, but arrive early in the morning to avoid the feeding trough mentality...not well laid out for breakfast buffet. Flott rom, med utsikt over Festplassen. TV virket desverre ikke. Grei frokost, men ikke imponerende. Noe støy fra gatenivå. Hyggelig betjening. Litt stiv pris for en enkelt natt, men ikke noe spesielt for dette hotellet.

Parkeringsplassen i kjelleren ser ut som et værksted fra 50 tallet. Lokaliteter slitent. Ikke kontroll i resepsjonen. Meget dårlig merking til f.eks. rom, restaurant, trapper, heiser.

Vi ba spesielt om rom uten for mye støy og rommene (2st) ble flyttet vekk fra plassering mot gate. Det viste seg imidlertid at disse rommene vendte inn mot Maartmansalen hvor det skulle være konsert til langt på kveld (festspillene i Bergen). Fikk byttet igjen (mot gaten) og det var et bra alternativ. Hotellet har nok vært en storhet, men er noe preget […] av slitasje. Beliggenheten var imidlertid veldig sentral ift alle severdigheter. God beliggenhet gode senger

Beliggenhet på midt å byen er fantastisk! Det var så godt å gå til alle plasser! Men det er mye bråk ogsa. Rommene er ikke isolert, så kluben i hotellet gjør vanskelig å sove. Parkering er svært dyrt! 230kr per dag! Hvis de pusser litt opp hotellet skal det bli supert dupert!

This hotel clearly doesn't represent the standard that You expect from a Radisson hotel. The hotel would need a major renovation already 10 years ago. Arriving late in the evening around midnight I was given a room which was a smaller conference room with full board seating (would be nice and spacious without the all the furnitures crammed in together […] with a temporary double bed) and as well the closed was filled up with additional chairs. While the room was big it was no room to move around in the room. Furthermore more or less ALL of the furnitures has serious dents, cracks and was falling apart. Can NOT recommend this hotel based on the premium prices that they're charging. Læs mere

Jeg og min samboer overnattet ved Hotel Norge fra 16. til 17.mai, og dette var en fin opplevelse. Hotellet ligger svært sentralt til, og vi fikk være med på feiringen 16.mai, med kort vei "hjem". På 17.mai hadde vi god utsikt over Torgallmenningen, og kunne sitte på rommet og se på tog og folkeliv. Da vi etter en stund gikk ut i gatene fikk vi sette […] bagasjen vår igjen på hotellet. Om morgenen spiste vi en veldig god frokost. Vi hadde det altså supert; rommet var pent, servicen var god og frokosten var den beste jeg har spist på lenge. Takk for meg :) Læs mere
