Hotellet lå helt perfekt i forhold til det vi ville i byen. Det ligger lige ud til New Street, som er en stor gade og shoppingcentret Bullring ligger lige ved siden af. Vi var også til koncert i 02 Academy Birmingham, et fedt spillested, og det lå heller ikke langt væk fra hotellet. Alt i alt en rigtig god beliggenhed og helt fine forhold på hotellet. […] Der blev gjort pænt rent hver dag og der var god service i receptionen. Eneste minus jeg kan nævne er, at maden ikke var nogen stor oplevelse, men vi havde heldigvis heller ikke bestilt opholdet inklusive mad. Læs mere

Hotel Britannia ligger rigtig godt placeret lige midt i Birmingham og er perfekt, hvis man er i byen et par for at shoppe eller nyde byen. Hotellet er ikke det mest moderne, men dog i ganske fin stand, og til prisen er det et rigtig godt valg.

Pænt og velfungerende hotel med bar (6 timers "happy hour" på hverdage) og restaurant, god service og lave priser, gratis avis. Lige midt i byen ud til gågaden og 2 min. fra den centrale jernbanestation med forbindelse til Birmingham International Airport. Beliggende i gåafstand til mange andre seværdigheder/shoppingcentre i Birminghams bymidte. Meget […] rimelige værelsespriser. Stor morgenmadsbuffet. Birmingham New street station ligger rigtigt tæt på hotellet. Hotellet er omgivet af gågader på alle sider og det ligger rigtigt centralt.

Ok middel hotel som ligger i gågaden og kun 100 meter til 3 store idkøbscentre og banegården

I choose the Britannia because I know just what to expect over the years it has been refurbished, the staff new and old are always helpful,the location suits me perfectly as it is so easily reached from the train,it can be noisy but this is par for the course ,and worth the odd outside noises,I recently had *all night neighbours* who would not be quiet […] but the receptionist at 0345 soon sorted them out and at last I was able to sleep,I liked their prompt and effective action. Helpful city centre location. Tired quaint hotel with peeling wallpaper. It felt like a hotel in the 1970s. Great scrambled eggs at breakfast though.

If you are looking for a hotel in city centre with good price, this is a good option however if you are looking for a nice hotel, forget it.

excellent value. the room was very dated but clean . good enough for putting our head down for the night while on a night out in birmingham. and for breakfast to be included was a bonus.

The guy at reception was extremely rude and abrupt. Rushed the check in process and seemed annoyed to be there. Poorest customer service I've had in a long time. Got to the room and whilst the bed sheets were clean, little else was. Rusty and dirty toilet. Carpets dirty and stained. Hard mattress. the hotel provides an appropriate quality for the price you pay. the loaction can't be more central; all amenities within 10min. walking distance

Perfectly siuated in the centre of birmingham. Rooms are ok, but just ok! Hotel in desperate need of modernisation, when you step through the door you feel as though your in 1975! Get what you pay for though, and this for a city centre hotel was cheap.

A 100 yards from New Street, on the main pedestrianised shopping street. Also a decent size bath which fills in about 30-40seconds! Not like the mini tubs in the new hotels. Highly recommended

Ordered twin room to me and my son , but was upgraded to room with 3 beds on 5. floor. Too much noise from neighbourg but besides that no complaints. Can recommend to the price, and this was my second stay at Britannia in Birmingham

Prompt check in, friendly staff, room clean and comfortable and excellent location (5 mins walk to New Street Rail Station). The room, and other parts of the hotel, would benefit from a fresh lick of paint but the location and low cost make it highly recommendable.

The hotel is close to The Rail Station and all the shops

A Lovely Hotel in the middle of town so in easy reach for all shopping wonderful. The Hotel staff are great and nothing to much, we will be using this Hotel again this year. Just wish they had a car park, but seeing its in town centre what can we expect. The upside is the Train Station is a short walk away :)

Basic hotel with good central location. Ideal for train passengers as only 1 minute walk to railway station. Friendly staff.

A very nice hotel, with helpfull staff and located perfectly in the middle of Birmingham, just a minute away from New Street Station. A very good place to stay for a weekend with shopping and discovering the city, as I did. I have nothing bad to say.

The room was comfortable and clean, but the walls seemed thin as we heard to lot of noise next door. The breakfast wasn't that good either...took ages to get a coffee and be served and breakfast was a bit dried up. And what is really annoying is non existent parking situation which causes us the most annoyance.

Great location in the centre of Birmingham. A decidedly tired hotel that's seen better days but priced to reflect this. Overall good value for money.

nice basic hotel close to city centre and all amenities enjoyed the stay no complaints

overall was fine well situated - staff friendly and efficient - however there was an outstanding problem with a street tannoy directly outside the bedroom this went on loudly every 15mins throughout the day/night - hotel had complained but the council had not responded - the hotel did find us a new room but we had one very disturbed night

The hotel is located on the main street close to shopping, restaurants and the New Street rail station. The condition of the hotel is dated and could use some renovating although overall it is still in an acceptable condition if you aren't too picky. The biggest issue is that the rooms do not have double glazed windows. We were in a room on the 4th […] floor facing the main street and aside from the fact that there was a breeze in the room even when the windows were shut, we also had constant noise throughout the night from people on the streets as well as a very annoying street tannoy announcement which went off every 20 minutes during the night. The windows would probably not be as much of an issue for rooms on the other side of the hotel. I would recommend the hotel for the location and for anyone who isn't expecting luxury, just make sure you ask for a room that does not face onto the street. Læs mere

fantastic location, New St. station just across the road, this hotel is perfect for the NEC or City of Birmingham. Hotel offers outstanding value for money, I am a regular guest over the last 4 years.

Basic hotel and facilities, but an amazing location close to all main shopping areas and train station.

Excellent VFM, close to station. Hotel could do with a lick of paint, as some areas a little tired! Otherwise no complaints at all, and will look at other Britannias wen staying else where in the country

Very centrally located in the heart of Birmingham, nice staff,they allow you to store your luggage in the storeroom before check in.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends as it surpassed my expectation. It was only 5-min walk from the new street station. Excellent location as it is close to everything. This is the first time I've used this hotel although I've been to the bar once before. Its a good location if you want to visit Birmingham and don't want to keep traipsing around with bags.

Possibly the most convenient hotel to birminghams central rail station, new street. The hotel is not one to honeymoon in, but visiting the city, it's location is first class.

Basic but adequate, parking nearby is a nightmare and limited over night parking. Post-code displayed on booking takes you within 500 years, entrance is down a side street. Will be back as it's suitable budget for work.

Good location but the hotel is dirty, old and warn. However the prices are very good.

For the price - an extremely good hotel!

The staff were very helpful and the public bar/lounge was very clean and comfortable with plenty of comfy sofa's and a large flat screen tv. The room unfortunately was not as inviting. My daughter and I stayed in room 625 while visiting wolverhampton university. The twin bedded room was very cramped and only suitable for one bed as the second bed was […] only inches away from the bathroom door and had we been any great size we would not have been able to access the bathroom. The furniture was old fashioned but adequete with a very large old fashioned tv . The windows ran from floor to ceiling and had never been changed since the hotel was built and as we arrived in gale force winds the room was very cold which the radiator even when on full was unable to warm efficiently. The bathroom sink was falling out of its enclosure and the shower had definitely seen better days. To be fair the beds were very comfortable and the staff couldnt have been nicer. Ok if you need budget accommodation for one night but couldnt recommend for weekend break. Læs mere
