Loews Vanderbilt Hotel Nashville - Nashville

We were at buisiness trip and needed a place to stay, close to The Vanderbilt University. When we compare the price to the quality of this experience we certainly will choose Loews Vanderbilt Hotel again. It was friendly,service minded, clean and we felt secure during our 5 days stay.

We arrived just days before the soft opening of the newly constructed lobby area. The transition seemed to go smoothly.

I had always wated to stay here, now I wished that I had not. Room says two queen sized beds. My brother had to sleep on the floor. They were standard fulls. It was $378 and under renovation. I. Say shame on you Loews. I feel like I was robbed of my hard earned money. I will never stay again nor recommend you.

I made this reservation for my son and his new bride for their wedding night. Despite the fact that I didn't make prior arrangements for anything special, they sent them strawberries and champagne to their room. Very thoughtful! This hotel has taken at least two steps back in terms of quality and customer service. Let's hope that the ongoing remodeling project upgades not only the tired rooms but also the tired, slow-to-respond staff. the hotel is under construction, and they had nerve charging the rates they did - even though they were "discounted" rates. The view we had of a wall was just the icing on the cake. There are plenty of other hotels convenient to Vanderbilt that would be just as good to stay at, for a much lower rate.

The Loews has an excellent location but is under construction. The staff is trying hard but its not worth what they charge right now. I'd stay at the Upsacle looking Hampton Inn nearby next time. You can find better value elsewhere.

Staying at the Loews Vanderbilt in like lying down in the middle of a construction site. I literally had a jackhammer directly over my room from 8am-6pm the two days that I stayed there. The lobby is non existent. There are plywood wall hallways to get you to the elevator and men in hardhats with equipment hammering, etc., everywhere. Upon booking, we haven't been told that the hotel was under renovation process. That means, no lobby, dust everywhere, no restaurant open, 6 floors of work in progress (noise level was up to the point we had to almost shout in the room to hear each other - I am not even telling you about vibrations). And you still have to pay from 20-40 USD for an upgrade […] on the last floor, where the noise is less important, still pay 20 USD for the Valet, and forget about asking anything to the concierge. Even though the hotel was undergoing construction it didn't hamper my stay. The room was great, the amenities were discounted or given for free and the location is great. The shuttle offered a quick trip downtown for free and I enjoyed my entire stay. Definitely book if you don't plan on eating and only staying in the hotel itself. Nashville has a lot […] to offer. Hotal was completely torn up for renovation, a fact I was not apprised of before arrival. Reception is literally in an office building next door, and you have to walk through plywood halls with noisy construction to get to your room. Amenities non-existent. Apparently the construction will not be finished until 2014. I do not recommend it.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past decade-- it has always been one of the top hotels in the city. However, when I arrived this time, I found a hotel in no condition to open for business-- it is under a complete renovation that has the lobby, the front entrance, and all other public spaces completely inaccessible. The service was on point right from the start. I did not have to lift a finger to do anything and the staff was very courteous and kind and very helpful. I love your Superior King rooms and the bed is sooooo soft. Your fitness room is superb and has everything needed to get a good sweat in. Thanks and I will be back soon!!!!

The room is gorgeous and comfortable but the hotel was under major construction, and I was unaware of that when I booked it. The price was still well over $100 per night, which I thought was absurd considering the loud noises, drilling, etc beginning at 7am! No one communicated to me that there was hotel construction going on. It was unbearably loud! They are reconstructing the lobby as well as working on the top three floors. You can't escape it.

It was great, roomy the kids loved it, the room were always clean, the toilets were spotless and so tidy, you can tell sheets , comforters, pillows are washed with expensive detergent that is kind on the skin, It's the first time I don't itch in a hotel!, which was great. The hotel is under heavy remodeling and reconstruction with limited services. The property does desperately need updating, so this is good. We were warned about the remodeling project, but the conditions were worse than we had expected.

This hotel was a nice and clean place to stay. However, I have stayed at Holiday Inns' that were nice and clean. The room had wallpaper peeling and the grout in the bathroom was in need of a good cleaning. I was not impressed and will probably go will the cheaper Holiday Inn or alike next time I choose to visit Nashville.

The hotel was being remodeled but they really went out of their way to make sure our experience was pleasant! Very impressive staff and they threw in some nice extras as well! Staff even remembered our names well after check in!

I was not informed by Hotels.com that the hotel i chose was under construction. The images on the site are apprently what it used to or will look like once the conversion is completed. Frankly, I think Hotels.com shoudl have notified me after i reserved the hotel so I could have found another location for the same price that woudl have been a bit nicer. […] The saff was however, extremely friendly and polite and thye did give us 50% off parking as well as 15% off room service and a free movie. The room was nice and clean. I'm more upset at hotels.com than I am at Lowes. Location is alright, about a 5 minute cab to music row. While there between Christmas and New Years, there was a lot of construction going on; however, they were very courteous to the guest and attempted to keep the areas safe and clean at all times. Cannot wait to see the results in April/May once completed! The valet staff was extremely friendly and shuttled us several times, never felt like we were a […] bother! To make up for the construction, we were compted a free movie (which we did not have time to watch as we were there for 1 night) and free parking. The hotel was old and needs updating; however, that said, it's currently undergoing major renovations so once these renovations are complete I believe the hotel will be a nice place to stay. The location is about 20 blocks from downtown (Broadway) so on my next visist I would choose to stay more central.

Hotel is undergoing renovations and the staff seemed to make special efforts to compensate.They could not have been nicer or more attentive. The rooms were comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Breakfast buffet expensive but excellent.

We spent 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Of course with construction we had no access to lobby but overall it was good. Hotel staff were stressed with noise level of workers but were very accomodating. Hotel needs a face lift but rooms are large with very comfortable beds and nice linens. Many good restaurants in walking distance.

Friendliness and service was suburb. They went the extra mile to make you feel like a valued customer. Hope they keep this up after the much needed renovations. We needed a handcapped accessible room and had three adults in the room. Since all they had were king beds (rather than the two doubles), they had a VERY comfortable roll-away prepared and ready […] in the room at arrival. The hadicapped rooms were not on the pet-friendly floors, so they made an exception for us, allowing our beagle to stay with us. Even with the restaurant closed, the food was excellent. I enjoyed the hotel. Bathroom was dated but clean and nice robes provided. I met my boyfriend there to attend a party in town, the extra parking fee of $30 (or maybe it was $26) certainly added to the cost of the stay. Hotel was quiet and well located.

Thsi hotel is currently under going a major remodel. Keep that in mind if your traveling soon. The front desk staff was out standing. They took very good care of us, exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. However with the remodel, whoever is in charge of cleaning rooms is allowing they're job to slip a bit!! Our room, though clean just […] didn't seem as clean as it should have been. When my wife and I first got to the room we found something kinda wet and sticky on the comforter on the bed, I contacted one of the maids on the floor, and they promtly took care of it. Check your bill for accuracy before you check out. I was doublecharged for delivery on a room service order ; I told the front desk at check out, who told me it would be taken care of. It went through my bank for the original amount. I was also told that since the hotel was being renovated,that there would be free internet and one free movie. Of course […] you have to sign in like normal, saying to bill it to the room. I'm not sure which, but one of them also went through my bank after check out. I did email the manager, and have yet to hear back though it's been a week. I really do like this hotel and the Loew's chain, but can't say I trust their business practices any more. Læs mere
