We really loved this hotel and wished we had maybe stayed a bit longer. The location is great and the surrounding facilities with shops, restaurants and the gym access via the hotel is great. Parking is convenient - although a little pricey. The room itself was really comfortable with everything we needed. Would recommend.

The staff was wonderful they upgraded our room to a suite and they tried to help us find local places in the area within walking distance it's very close to most museums in the area the room was huge the spa was wonderful as well

The service was excellent, as we entered the lobby we were welcomed by a very attentive young woman named Erica. She seemed to really enjoy her job full of energy and always smiling, she offered us a glass of wine...after being stuck in traffic for over an hour it was a perfect greeting! The hotel was amazing with so much beauty in the building. I used the spa workout area and that was supper nice.. Our room was big and roomy and elegant. We were greeted with friendly smiles from the reception area. Very polite and helpful. Very first class experience. We would stay here again .

Grand old style hotel. Would have appreciated a hair dryer in the bathroom, firmer mattress and ins tructions on how to operate the shower ( took me a long time to figure it out)!

This hotel is in a great location and the staff is amazing but it is an older building and it shows. I was too warm in my room, the elevators took forever and everything is just older. That being said, I would probably stay here again.

While an older hotel the staff was awesome and everyone that I came in contact wtith was very pleasant and willing to help. The food was amazing in the XIX restaurant and very beautifully served, The waitstaff and maitre de were awesome.

we were on a quiet floor which was wonderful, except for the noisy shower in an adjacent room. Much of the decor was peeling or in need of redoing...but the bed was most wonderul and clean...

We booked the Hyatt at the Bellevue for a Friday night stay in Philly. It was my wife's birthday and everything was a surprise for her. We had tickets to see Lewis Black at the Academy of Music, and Flyers tickets for a 1:00 game Saturday. I knew little of the hotel prior to booking and admittedly booked out of convenience. The hotel was a great bonus! […] We had drinks in the hotel's lounge in the restaurant, XIX on the top floor before and after the show Friday night. Great atmosphere in that lounge. Saturday morning we had breakfast in one of the restaurants dining areas that are spectacular if you have any appreciation for the architecture of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My mother, sister and i got a double queen room. The room was beautiful, spacious, and the beds/pillows were incredibly comfortable. Location was fantastic, right near everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Would love to go back again.

The Hyatt at the Bellevue is an awesome old hotel that has been modernized in just the right ways. The location is right in the middle of almost everything you want to see. We walked to almost everywhere. The service was excellent. We had to ask for the bath towels, however, and because of the odd shape of the room the large flat screen TV was a bit […] far from the bed, not that we did much TV watching. We arrived Saturday at 4pm (check-in time was 3pm), our room wasn’t ready but the front desk informed us it wouldn't be long and took down my number to call when it was ready, he figured in about 20 mins. Left our bags with the bellman who said they would take care of it getting up to our room, and we went through the Shops at the Bellevue to kill some […] time and grab a bite to eat. An hour passed and we still hadn't heard from the front desk so we went back and asked for an update on the room and were told it was ready. Looked in the bathroom, no shower/tub combo as described in the booking. We got a handicap room with a roll-in shower, not what we wanted. My fiancee called down to the front desk, they did not have any rooms with shower/tub combos left, so we wouldn't be able to change rooms. Also noticed that the "city view" was anything but, our room was on the inside of the hotel and our view consisted of a small window overlooking some sort of courtyard, not what we were promised. Tried to make reservations for dinner at both onsite restaurants, but were told they were completely booked. Tried making an appointment to get a massage at the spa that morning but were told that it was completely booked. Overall, we did not get the experience we were hoping for, especially for a romantic night away from home. Did not feel we got the luxury we paid for, and had I known the experience would've been this way I would've booked at one of the many other hotels in the area. Læs mere

A grand old hotel built with great details and flourish in 1929, beautifully restored and maintained. Great for a long weekend stay. Great location for exploring and enjoying Philadelphia.

A classic grand hotel, with great service. Highly recommend the restaurants and amenities on the 19th floor. The architecture takes you back to another era or grandeur and style. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

The room was average size with a below average size bathroom. The hotel was well maintained and the staff was very helpful. Our room did not have available outlets by the bed for our phone chargers. The location was great as a starting and destination for the shops bars and entertainment in the area.

Hotel needs to be re-done at this point. Doors are thin and don't seal well. Hallway noise comes right in and was never sure if the door was properly locked. No after-hours room service and no wet bar. No convenience store for late-night arrivals either. (I was directed to try across the street.# Hair left in the tub when I arrived #gross#. Bathroom […] ceiling had brown stains like rust was comingt through the paint or something. Shower curtain didn't work well, so floor flooded after I got out of the show #yes, it was used properly). Windows rattled all night and toilet kept loudly re-filing every 15 minutes or so without flushing. Only saving grace is the locations, the shops attached and the bar at the top. Hyatt at the Bellevue exhibits old world charm in the bustle of Philadelphia Center City. Hotel has age but shows well. Amenities are updated and rooms are furnished in a smart modern, yet comfortable way. Food was delicious and front desk was polite and accommodating. I would recommend to anyone.

The room was more than we expected! it was huge, very comfortable and nicely decorated! The lobby was very elegant. We visited the downstairs food court a couple of times, which was great! .. we walked from the hotel to all of the touristy stuff Philly has to offer! Excellent service! If we return to Philly, this hotel would be our first option!

This is a very old classic hotel. And it's huge! I got a standard room w breakfast included. My room was probably about 600 sq ft including the bathroom and what made it seem even bigger was the ceilings were very high. The breakfast was good but honestly for the $25 they charge you it's not worth it. There are more then plenty of choices to get any […] meal close to the hotel. There is even a food court in the building for the corporate offices. If you choose the included breakfast you can get the buffet or menu option. Even if you want half and half they are difficult and watch you like a hawk! It's rude and annoying! The biggest selling point for me was there is a huge fantastic gym in the building and it's free for hotel guests. The hotel location was good but a lot of business people and corporate offices make it seem not so vacation like. I was there for work so it was good for me. Overall the hotel is good not great. The hotel is very old style but has a non-deniable charm particular for people who like and appreciate this sort of style. It has been very well maintained and the grandness of this hotel is amazing. The Bellevue is one of the nicest hotels in the country: spacious rooms and elegance everywhere. However, the 12th floor has the conservatory (common space), wgich can get noisy and the rooms are not fully soundproof. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay otherwise.

The is Hyatt staff makes for a great stay hands down but I must say that my wife and I think the Bellevue has such a rich feel for a older build. The overall presentation of the Hyatt and its surroundings of top notch restaurants, shop and department stores give it the best location in the city of Philadelphiafor a visit.

Very lovely hotel with historic charm. Not in its prime, but overall very comfortable. Room is huge by Hyatt standard. Don't miss a breakfast at XIX (was included in our rate). Fresh fruits, pastries out of oven, salmon and bagels - worth every penny!

We enjoyed the location, but there are some issues related to the room's age. The staff was accomodating, but we really did not expect some of these problems from a Hyatt.

Very close to all the historic sites and Jefferson University -- great old classic hotel with outstanding service - built in 1902 and architecturally preserved so it is beautiful -- renovated to modern standards so quite comfortable - highly recommend place if you need to stay near the historic district

One bulb burned out in bathroom - crack in bathroom sink, no leak but no attempted esthetic repair - outer older original windows loose, rattling throughout the night during wind/rain storm - inner storm windows intact but could not effect temporary repair of rattling outer windows resulting in somewhat sleepless night

Very good stay, had a great time. Only a couple minor issues that only bother me because of the price, end table was half/broke and crooked, in room fridge wasn't very cold and door was messed up. In room dining service was excellent!

Snagged a KING room for two nights with my girlfriend over Thanksgiving. The hotel was very nice, the room was simply alright. There are many rooms that look out over an "atrium" area in the middle of the building, so some rooms do not have windows that look outside. Not a huge deal though as the ceilings were pretty high so it opened the room up. Secondly, […] because I was there only two nights I decided that my towels and sheets didn't really need to be washed to I left my privacy card out my entire stay. I had someone call the room twice with no one on the other line, then had someone knock and ask if "everything was alright". This was a little suspicious and sort of violates the whole "privacy thing"... To top it all off, the fridge was lukewarm. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place. MEH. Læs mere
