Comfort Inn Central - Williamsburg

Very nice staff, had a few issues with our first room due to hotel renovations, but the management swiftly addressed the situation and moved us. The rooms were nice. The hotel is in walking distance of many restaurants and a few attractions but most attractions are about a 5min drive.

My stay was not bad overall,the room was clean,and the hotel was convenient to everything,but I had a hard time sleeping due to the trains passing throughout the night.

Although the staff was very friendly we encountered many issues with our stay at this hotel. Our room door would not open. It would take 3 - 5 tries each time we entered the room. Even after an employee came upstairs to try the door. There was no bedding for the sofa bed, the pool had no clean towels available, and the set up for the breakfast area […] did not flow. If more than 3 people were trying to get breakfast at the same time you would run over each other. The walls are paper thin and there is an active train track running beside the hotel. So you wake to think a train is coming thru your room at any moment. We unfortunately had a neighbor with a crying baby that cried the entire time and it sounded like it was in the room with us! The hotel is older and could use an update but it was clean. We have made a note not to stay here again. Læs mere

There is a Amtrak train that runs directly behind the hotel.

I really liked the hotel. The staff was very courteous and professional. The breakfast was very nice and the dining area was clean and well kept.

This hotel is apparently under construction, although there were no visible signs of any progress under way. There were a couple signs stating this and that was all the warning we recieved. Our room had a funny odor, the wall was three different colors and two different textures, the carpet was dingy and the bed sheets had several stains. There was […] a tub in our room, which was a nice surprise, however it looked as though it had not been cleaned in several months. The bathroom door did not close fully, catching on the tile floor, and the shower head barely worked. When I asked the woman running the front desk about all these things, she did not seemed surprised and said they would do something about it asap. Nothing was done about it however and, based on her reaction, she has heard this several times before. I will NOT stay here again. Læs mere

We arrived late because of mixed up reservations between 2comfort inns close together. The elderly man at the 1st one we went to was no help at all. Somehow our second nifty was there but our 1st night wasn't. I called the other one and was assured we they could accommodate us. The lady at the front desk helped us with phone numbers to call to get the […] billing corrected and get us 3 rooms next to each other for both nights. We had small children with us and it was about 2 am. When we got in our rooms we were exhausted but grateful for the very helpfuL and knowledgeable lady at the front desk. The Location is the main thing going for this hotel. The beds were hard and the heating system was difficult to control.

Have stayed here before - comfortable and clean!

This was my 4th time staying at this hotel. Every time I have stayed here, I have been greeted by the nicest, hospitable people. They are as organized as they are friendly. They are always helpful. This hotel is near to Williamsburg prime outlet. The accessibility was really good.

This hotel has been a stopping point for my friends and I for several years now. It is located on a main road that has a crazy number of dinner choices and so close to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, as well as shopping, that its perfect. The price really can't be beat and while the breakfast isn't exactly exciting, everything else was well […] tended and the staff was remarkably friendly. Hotel was very close to where we were going. There was construction going on but did not bother our stay. Room was available when we got there.

This place. The front desk woman has no idea she works in the hospitality industry. She was combative and if hotels.com didn't already charge my card I would have left there in a heartbeat. I would NEVER recommend anyone of color to go this place Or anyone with common sense for that matter

Very dissapointed in the hotel. The water from the shower was scalding hot. The tv was outdated. There was no free wi-fi service as decribed. The included breakfast was minimal and low quality.

I was very pleased with the customer service. The front office coordinator was very kind and informative. She was warm and I don't believe that that is a character that many of us use anymore. I hope that if this is read that she is commended for that if only it be great job young lady.

For our one night stay it was fine - the only thing there was a strong smell of bleach which was probably used for cleaning the bathroom. Everything was bery clean, comfortable & we had no problems. Wish, though, that the trains were a little further away instead of right behind the hotel. Coal trains running past all night - I counted 5. The people at the hotel were very attentive and friendly. The rate was excelent. The room was clean. The only complaint is the train was very close and sounded like it was coming through the room several times a night. If you need to be close to the outlets, this is the place.

Little did we know there is a train track right behind the hotel that kept us awake. Also the beds were full not queen sized...very uncomfortable. Food was decent.

Couldn't turn on the heat because the air comes out of the A/C smells even worse.

Everything was good, breakfast delicious, room clean and the location is excellent for Busch Garden, Jamestown, York City. Just one little complaint and is the welcome from F/Desk agent at check-in. No ID was required to verify our reservations. Poor customer service. No smile welcome. Beside that the hotel was real good!

Our room needed updates. There was a very strange whirlpool in the bedroom . The whirlpool had three steps covered in carpet, just picture lots of bare feet with toe fungus climbing into the tub. Believe me , it happens, there is no way to clean this kind of area every time someone leaves. The bedspread was dirty , some kind of food , human discharge […] or whatever it was ,on the bedspread. Our room was clean, comfortable, and up to date. The location was fantastic. It was close to several restaurants. Colonial Williamsburg and the outlet mall were also close by.

I will recommend this place, the staff was very frienldy, and polite it is convenient to many resturant. Even though they serve continental breakfast , it was great they had different variety to choose from which was good.

pros - breakfast with fruits, oatmeal packs, cereal, juice, self made waffles included and more, lots of restaurants and outlet nearby. cons - train rolled by at night, no scrambled eggs in sight.

Nice place - would stay again. It was clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. There is a train track right behind the hotel, but it didn't bother us.

My husband and I decided to stay at this hotel figuring a middle of the road price would result in a middle grade hotel. We had to switch rooms because the mold issue in the first room cause my allergies to flare up badly. After speaking to the front desk they tried to tell me that it must be a cleaner that they used. Never mind the fact that you could […] see the mold at the top of the walls where the wallpaper meets the ceiling. They front desk attendent allowed me to view two rooms before we switched. One of the rooms comforter was covered with a brown stain. The restaurant on site isnt on site. It is the building next to the hotel. Also, the indoor pool is not heated (it was freezing at the end of July). The pool itself was clearly overclorinated (the color of the pool was cloudy and whitish) Needless to say my husband and I opted to not lounge as much as we normally do on these kind of trips and instead stayed away from this hotel as much as possible. We found that most of the other hotels in the same price range were much nicer. So go the 5-20 bucks higher its worth it. Læs mere

The hotel is under renovations in the lobby. Although the lobby area already looks pretty nice. The rooms and bathrooms also look as though they have been renovated recently. The rooms are large and the furniture is clean and in great shape. Desperate replacement is needed for the carpet in the foyer areas. We had a commode that did not function properly […] but the desk attendant promptly try to fix the commode and when they could not happen she promptly relocated us to another room. The breakfast items are excellent. It would be nice if they would add eggs, bacon, and hash browns since they already have the equipment for it in the breakfast area. The parking is very ample. My husband and I stayed the night at this hotel and felt like it was an okay place to stay. We stayed in a smoking room and it really stunk! The breakfast in the morning was not good, everything was sugary - even the cereals! It was in a good location for Colonial Williamsburg, the Outlets, and Busch Gardens/Water Country though!

This hotel was very clean, the staff was nice, and our room was excellent we had a minor fluke with the fan in the bathroom that was a little noisy but nothing major. The breakfast selection was great but the dinning area was a little small for the amount of people. We loved it... clean, comfortable, restaurants, stores and attractions right next to us. We will stay again in two more weeks. Excellent customer service... Breakfast Kids loved!

The hotel was in a good location and close to alot of activities. The breakfast was good. Check in and check out was very efficient. Who stay in this hotel again.

We checked in late for one night. We had gotten a room with a king size bed with jacuzzi tub. Overall the room was decent...the AC worked nice. The room seemed slightly run down but nothing too major. The hotel is in the process of renovating. The jacuzzi tubs drain would not hold the water in and water would slowly drain when taking a bath. It looked as if the floor was not swept much at all and there was an old piece of popcorn stuck to the comforter at the very end near the floor. There was also no remote for the TV to be found, I had to go downstairs to the front desk and ask for one. Overall for a single night this was not terrible. This hotel was cheap but had what I needed. It had good air conditioning, a clean room and a good continental breakfast. The staff were helpful. I couldn't find it with my GPS but when I called they helped me find the hotel. They also gave me a good recommendation for a movie theater.

First room we were checked into already had occupants in it that we almost walked in on. Changed rooms and the next room we received did not have a functioning air conditioner. The third room we had did turn out to be quite comfortable though. It was more hassle then we needed to go through. I TOOK MY GRAND DAUGHTER AND MY GREAT NEICE ON VACATION TO WILLIAMSBURG/BUSCH GARDENS. I LOVE THIS AREA & I ALWAYS FREQUENT THIS HOTEL. Good hotel and conveniently located to all nearby attractions and restaurants. The staff were very courteous and helped us with details of the sightseeing and even offered to use their computer to purchase tickets. The beds were little on the firm side for some members in our party, but, nothing too uncomfortable. Complementary breakfast features fresh […] made Belgian Waffles (self served) which is a nicety.
