Would happily stay there the next time I'm in Vancouver. Value for money. Good cafe/restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room spotlessly clean.

We will stay at this hotel again and again, the location was great. We were in Vancouver BC for the Sun Run and from this location we were able to walk to the start line. The staff where all very helpful when we asked questions about transportation and different areas.

Would stay here again. Value for money. Perfect location if visiting any of the hospitals or UBC. Short 4 block walk to Skytrain (easy to then go downtown or to the airport) and buses running past the door. Easier to take taxi if coming from airport with heavy luggage. Safe area surrounded by a number of affordable restaurants. Good to have microwave […] and fridge in room and communal laundry for guests. Wifi connection great. Cafe/restaurant had good range of food at satisfactory prices. Brilliant service and friendly/helpful staff. Læs mere

I enjoyed the stay at the Park Inn because it made me experience the life of a resident of Parkview, the area where the hotel is located. There are lots of restaurants and stores, and Chinese massage too. Public transportation was in front of the hotel. My only issue was that I thought it was overpriced for what it had to offer. (The treadmill was broken, […] for example, and the one elevator rather slow). But the staff was courteous and the restaurante at the hotel offered good homemade food. Læs mere

The location is on the main road. we got room which is city view but we could only see the roofs of across the street stores and not the city and also lot of traffic noise.After talking to the front desk they changed our room to 5th floor which was very nice but still street traffic noise as it is on main street and close to the big hospital.

Hotel was clean and in the middle of everything we wanted to go to.

Love the Staff that remembers you and very happy to help any way they can. Love that they provide a name brand shampoo I,m not afraid to put in my hair. Love the neighborhood - Shoppers, tons of food places(sushi), bus RIGHT in front. Love that rubber ducky! A paper on Sunday, and low cal sweetener ve made it even sweeter!

It was a great lacation to the VGH, Cancer Clinic, dining and shopping.

would recommend this hotel over many others if needing to stay near VGH, clean, great service, great location.

This hotel was great for our one night stay - it was close to where we needed to be - that's the only reason we chose it. The hotel itself is a little tired looking and not terribly clean in the common areas. We would stay there again if we needed too - but I'd rather not.

I found this hotel convenient to get anywhere in Vancouver.

The hotel has a good location close to the hospital. When I checked in and out, the staff chatted with each other while I waited for 5 minutes or more. Upon my arrival, the staff watched from inside while I struggled in the rain to get my luggage inside the doors. Despite the fact that the luggage cart was next to the front desk, they made no offer […] to help while I loaded my things on and got them to my room. We had a long and arduous trip that should have only taken us 4 hours, but instead took 9 due to weather. We were really ready to relax when we pulled in. The staff was courteous and helpful. But I have two things that kinda bugged me. I had requested the view side of the hotel and when we checked in I was told it didn't look like they had a room on […] that side, that it would cost more even though I had already booked and paid for our room. So, we took the non view side. It was a beautiful day the next day so we really missed out on snow capped mountains and an amazing skyline. Ok, I can deal with that. Disappointing but that's ok. What really urked me was I forgot my laptop on the bed. When I realized it I called at 10:30 at night to check and see if I left it at the hotel. They could have called me as soon as they found it, or at least shortly after cleaning the room. I had a name tag on the handle. So, when I called late at night they told me they had it and I asked if they would courier it and I was told that I would have to arrange something. Ok, I get that, I said I would call back in the morning with what I was going to do and she said yes, that was my problem, I'd have to figure it out. Can you imagine being so upset about misplacing something as valuable as a laptop, camera and ipod (all in one bag) and being told it's my problem to figure out. A very noisy hotel. Might as well sleep on Broadway as in the Hotel

I thought I'd give this place a try. I stay in Vancouver regularly. There are signs everywhere that say 'no smoking' but I couldn't get over the fact that when coming out of the elevator I was assaulted by the smell of smoke. I'm not sure where it was coming from, could be just in the building because it is quite old. It's been re-done, but it looks […] more like a patch job than a true renovation. The room was fine, nothing great, but it reaked of lemon scented cleaning solution when I first checked in. I opened the balcony door and left the room for a few hours, and the smell was mostly gone when I returned. The staff were very friendly. If the hotel had been priced better, I wouldn't be complaining as much, but for the price, their are better hotels closer to or in the downtown area. Læs mere

I was overall quite satisfied with the quality and location of the hotel, however I made the reservation online and specifically requested the higher of the two rates quoted for a room near the top floor of the hotel overlooking the water, and that room was unavailable upon checking in.

Will definitely come back to this hotel again ... very clean & great service. Whole Foods a short walk away. Lots of restaurants. Close to the sea wall for long scenic walks along the waterfront.

If you have appointments at VGH and you have to come in from out of town, this is the place to stay. We drive a Ford F350 so we just parked it(in the hotel lot) and taxid it. Pretty quiet considering a hospital next door and the helicopter landing pad right behind the windows. Suited our requirements just fine.

The hotel was adequate for our needs - a clean, reasonable place to stay to sleep. We use earplugs to sleep and that is important because we found the street noise very loud and compounded by the heating system fan in the room.

Not much of a lobby, but I didn't choose it to sit in the lobby. Good location, room was clean, comfortable, with fridge, microwave and a good hot shower. It was quiet on the 4th floor (we stayed there on Wed. and Thurs.) Only downside was not in the hotel's control. Our room faced the south (410) and the Avis(?) parking lot below was noisy in the early […] morning (trash trucks) and mid-afternoon when young men gathered in the lot to drink beer and have happy hour. I like it better than the Holiday Inn down the street also on Broadway (and the Park Inn was cheaper too). They're Market Cafe isn't anything to write home about, but there are lots of other good restaurant choices nearby. Hotel is near all the medical facilities (Vancouver General, etc.) We liked the Pekoe Tea house across Broadway on the corner. Læs mere

Just a hint, do not purchase your parking ticked from the machine, it will be charged to you by the hotel itself.

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

Park Inn & Suites in conveniently located so that it's easy for you to buy something at the drugstore (in case you forgot to pack something), get some food to eat, and exchange cash if you're not canadian (there's a plethora of banks around the hotel). They have free wifi, complimentary coffee, tea, and water, and a fridge & microwave if you have any […] leftover food from one of your meals. It is easy to hop on the bus or take a train downtown. After check-in, I went online to do some banking, and I found that the hotel had put a hold on some money for a room deposit. I know this is standard in Vancouver, but you would think that they would tell you they are holding $200! It holds on your bank account right away, but takes 3-5 business days to be returned. When my husband went to talk to the […] concierge about this, he said he told me (which he didn't, he just asked for ID and a credit card) and the fee was mentioned on Hotels.com. I checked all over Hotels.com and in the paperwork for the Park Inn, and there was no mention of the holding fee anywhere. My husband brought a laptop down to the concierge to show him Hotels.com (the guy was being a real jerk so he felt like sticking it to him), and he just shrugged his shoulders, obviously not caring. He said they do such a large amount of money in case someone ruins the duvet, which he said is at least $400 alone. Our duvet was very cheap polyester and had something stuck to it that closely resembled a booger. I wouldn't pay $20 for it at Walmart. All the while, the manager stood by not offering any assistance or apology for not notifying us of the holding fee. We were fine, but I imagine this causes a lot of people overdrafts. The room was reasonably clean. There was a lot of traffic noise and thin walls. The location is ok, but not worth the money and the hassle. Læs mere

This place is awesome! We had a "city view" room and the view was beautiful. It is approx 3 blocks from the subway to get to downtown. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. There is even a liquor store, however, I paid about $15 for a 6 pack of Pacifico(ouch). But, hey, I was on vacation, what the he'll?!

We were very impressed with the location and condition of the hotel. Compared to the "luxury" hotel we stayed in the previous night in Vancouver, this hotel was larger, and more comfortable. Great View! Close to shopping and very convenient to the Victoria ferries.

I was glad when I showed up around 11 am and they let me check into my room that early. I have stayed here several times and will return as there is great customer service, early check in and late check out, can't beat it!

While the outside of the hotel is not the classiest, the view more than made up for it. If you're not looking to spend all of your time in the hotel room, this room will suit just fine. We were able to upgrade (free) to the highest floor, while keeping a non-smoking, king bed room. The room was decently furnished; it was nice to have a microwave, coffee […] maker, and little fridge though we didn't take advantage of any of them. The bed was incredibly comfortable and they had invested a bit of money in the sheets, duvet and pillows. The remote control had some glitches, but as we were just testing things out, it wasn't significant enough a problem to bring to the attention of the front desk. The bathroom was quite small (you couldn't get into the tub unless the door was completely shut), though the water pressure was great and the hot water was plentiful. The fan worked well, also, so we didn't have any problems with post-shower fog. It was muggy in Vancouver the weekend we were here, so the AC was put through its paces and worked quite well. The balcony was small, but sufficient, and the wall it was on was a fully windowed/glassed wall. We did not hear much street noise with the glass door closed. Our view really was spectacular! We looked directly into downtown over the river. The skyline was great during the day and only got better at night. Much to our surprise and pleasure, Vancouver hosts fireworks frequently during the summer months, and we had an incredible view of that as well. Definitely make sure you request a city view room. As for customer service; we did not have any problems with the service at all. We were granted an early check in (allowed up to our room shortly after noon when we weren't expected until 3), and, as I mentioned before, were able to upgrade free of charge. There is on-site parking for a nominal fee, but as we walked around the neighborhood, it was worth it just to know the car was safe in one spot for the time. The front desk did call the Læs mere

Air conditioning did not work well but the balcony 'air' really helped. I just bought a fan in the 24 hour store across the street. I was traveling with my dog (who loved the balcony) and there was a glorious off-leash dog park right on the waterfront 2 blocks from the hotel. The waterfront trail is also perfect for biking and extends from Granville […] to the Olympic village area. It is so beautiful! Surprised it wasn't emphasized more. This hotel has an underground parking, but it was under construction with very limited space available. The staff at the front desk was extremely slow processing newly arrived customers. The room was ok for the money.
