FInt, jeg havde kun en overnatning, derfor var placeringen af hotellet vigtig for mig, så jeg kunne nå at se så meget som muligt.

Hollywood Orchid Suites har en rigtig rigtig god beliggenhed!! Og er et helt vildt godt hotel, kan varmt anbefales til alle andre! Det ligger endda ikke i slum kvarteret i Hollyewood, det ligger lige omme bag ved Kodak theatre, så man følte sig også tryk når man skulle hjem på grund af p-vagter. Kan varmt anbefales!!

Not high class, but perfect for family. Nice suites, pool, private parking. Good, simple continental breakfast. Nice staff. Quiet neighborhood even though central.

This little hotel is located almost ON the Walk Of Fame, the Wax Museum and the Hollywood Bowl - and just one stop from Universal Studios! Couldn't ask for anything else.... Besides that the rooms are more than decent, the service is kind and straightforward, and the pool is a definite pro. We'll gladly stay there some other time!

I was a bit worried before arriving at the Hotel because it didn't receive a very high star rating, but honestly I think overall it was the best place we stayed at in our three weeks travelling around California and Nevada. Great location for seeing Hollywood. The hotel is not the newest or flashiest, but the suites are clean, roomy and comfortable. A very short walk from all the major Hollywood attractions and the Hollywood & Highland metro.

First of all location. Near all the atraction in Hollywood, the Metro, Mall also convinience store just across the street since there is a kitchen in our room. Staff so helpfull. My first visit to LA was very delightfull due to our stay.I will fully recommend this hotel and definately stay again next time visit LA.

Really good value for money in superb location

The hotel offers a great location, near to the Walk of Fame and the Kodak Theatre. But during the evening there is nothing to do, quite boring to be in that neighborhood. Retrospectively we would have preferred to stay in Santa Monica and go see Hollywood by car (even knowing about the expensive parking facilities). Great sized rooms. We had an executive queen suite (which was only priced a small amount higher than the junior rooms) and had a full kitchen and dining table in our room as well as a balcony. The hotel is not in bad shape for an older hotel. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast each morning was a great. The location is very close […] to some nice sight-seeing on Hollywood blvd; the walk of fame, the famous theaters and wax museum are all walking distance. There is also a very nice mall just a few minutes walking distance from The Orchid Suites. The one very disappointing thing about this hotel is that it is almost completely in the shadow of The Renaissance Hotel. Unfortunately the pool, and our balcony got no sunlight at any time of the day because of the massive hotel. So because of this we used the pool at The Renaissance instead. Older style but very comfortable. Staff a very friendly and couldn't help you anymore. Fantastic location, only a couple of minutes walk to Hollywood blvd and kodak theatre. Breakfast was great. Would stay again and recommend to others! Thanks for your hospitality!

Ideal location for central Hollywood, and no problem visiting museums such as Getty Centre, but suggest use car not public transport. Staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. A few minor problems were sorted immediately and always with a smile. However, we like peace and quiet once in our room and this was not the case with our allocated, upgraded […] room from which we heard the continuous noise (refrigeration units?) from a logistics unit opposite. This might not be a problem for everybody, and in the event we were moved to an acceptable alternative room without any fuss. Cannot speak to highly of the staff. I LOVED THE LOCATION... REALLY CLOSE TO ALL MUST SEE SIGHT. AND TRANSPORTATION IS NOT AN ISSUE TO GO ANYWHERE BECAUSE SUBWAY AND BUS IS RIGHT NEXT TO YOU .ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE. JUST DONT EXPECT A FIVE STAR ACCOMMODATION BUT THE STAFF ARE VERY GOOD AND HELPFUL. I WILL BOOK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN WITH OUR NEXT TRAVEL TO HOLLYWOOD.

This hotel is awesome....everyone made us feel welcome, breakfast was nice, the room had everything we needed....the position and location was brilliant..walk through Hollywood n highland shopping centre and your on Hollywood blvd...will be staying there again..

just in the middle of all attractions, close to all spots: universal city, koda theater, chiese theater etc. If you are looking for 5 star hotel with gorgeous decation, ignore it. This is a very comfortable hotel , good for family, the reception and breakfast make you feel home.

The price is right, I do not suggest bringing kids! The surrounding neighborhood is VERY questionable. There were two women(??Men) in parking garage and one of them saw my husband driving our kids in to park. I had gotten out to open gate. They commented "Wow, that guy has two kids with him, COOL". It was sickening. They were obviously on drugs and […] I wanted to leave right then. We were only there 1 night before going to Palm Springs. Thank God!!! The staff was indifferent. Not accommodating, if we could have found something else I would have left. Use caution if staying here. Building is old, and nothing fancy, but maintained and cleaned well. Staff very friendly and helpful. The first night we had a room right in the front, which meant loud garbage trucks and other noises beginning about 5:00AM. They switched us to another room with no hassle, even though that meant giving us a larger deluxe room for the same price. This […] one was in the back so no street noise, but the walls are a bit thin, so we heard talking and TV from next door. Not too loud, but noticable. Location is great (although not exactly scenic, with other walls on all sides), a block from Hollywood Blvd. Free parking in the basement of the building. Free continental breakfast isn't much (nothing warm but toast and coffee), but enough to fill you up with fruit and muffins. A great hotel - the lady who checked us in was very helpfull and cheery. This hotel is older but definately a goody - it was immaculately clean, in the best location, breakfast also was good for price we paid. Staying in this location saved us money as we did not have to pay for expensive tours.

This hotel is very nicely placed just a minute walk and you are right on Hollywood strip and close to railway station .The staff were friendly and helpful and I liked it because there were so many Aussies staying their.the breakfast was really yummy and plenty of it and not served tooo early.rooms were always tidy.

If you want to see Hollywood, this is the perfect location. Walk to most places. Room was clean, staff was very pleasant and helpful. I'd stay again.

Would stay again

Don't expect too much but it ain't bad either... Pretty basic but if you want to walk to the absolute heart of Hollywood this is a good value. Parking is included as is the wi-fi and a decent breakfast so once you're there you don't get nickle-and-dimed with those charges. The rooms are nothing fancy with a weird little sort of half-kitchen but no […] coffee maker (?), a couple burners, some pots/tea kettle and a fridge. The place is dated but reasonably clean and maintained. Comfortable to take your breakfast up the stairs to the 4th floor "roof garden" (more roof than garden but nice enough). You're on the backside of the block with all the famous theaters of Hollywood so for the price this is a good value. Læs mere

great location right by a mall with lots of shops & cafes, Kodak &vGraman theatres. very clean & comfortable. found out on leaving tht elevator does go to ground floor. very happy with our choice

Hollywood Orchid Suites is excellent value for money. Our room was like a one bedroom apartment with separate full kitchen, loungeroom and bathroom and 2 televisions. The kitchen had a full stove, oven and microwave, full size fridge, lots of crockery and cutlery etc, so if you felt like saving money on meals you could cook a family dinner. The location […] is fantastic, being just a few minutes walk from shops, Kodak Theatre and Hollywood Walk of Fame. The subway station is also nearby so it's easy to get to downtown LA etc. Marlo at reception was fabulous and happily advised us and booked a tour, tickets to Universal Studios and our return transport to the airport. She was always happy to answer any questions. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful.On top of all that, there is a great complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit, muffins, variety of cereals etc. There is a lovely swimming pool and rooftop garden. After reading other reviews about the hotel, we booked based on the location. You can't ask for anything better - right behind the Kodak theatre and near shops, restaurants and other major Hollywood attractions. The rooms were clean and tidy complete with kitchen facilities. Good location, safe neighborhood, not fancy but clean and comfortable.

The Location of this hotel is the big drawcard. The hotel makes a great base for any Hollywood holiday. It is litrally next door to Highland S/C & Kodak theatre. The hotel is quite old, but they were actually about to renovate just after we left so Id be keen to see what it looks like now. I did notice a number of hotels/suites in Orchard Ave, (The same St) which I have not checked out online yet, so It might be worthwhile comparing these. It had a nice pool although it was a bit cold to swim while we were there. The only con I can think of is that early mornings we could hear trucks behind the hotel servicing/ delivering to the shopping centre starting 6am so it was a little noisy but this was very minor considering what we were getting for our money. Excellent location--right in the center of Hollywood. Everything is within walking distance: Metro station, Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre, shopping, and a supermarket! Great location...clean and affordable. Would recommend taking some fans to block out traffic noise or use the room fans. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Very close to all the action. Would and will stay again and recommend it. Parking was an added bonus. Not a luxury hotel however, just a good choice for reasonable rates.

Great place to stay in Hollywood. It is nothing fancy but it is a clean and friendly hotel. Our room had a kitchen with basic amenities. If you're into La La Land (everything Hollywood) then this is the place to stay, only 50 yards from Hollywood Blvd adjacent to the Kodiak Theatre. There's even a swimming pool & a roof top garden ! Had a great stay in this hotel the staff were very welcoming and really helpful. The room was clean and spacious and in a very safe and quiet area. This Hotel is dated, however it is clean and well priced for its location. We would not hesitate to stay again.

everything on your doorstep. although the rooms are in need of a lot of tlc. the carpet was full of stains from god knows what and was sticky under foot. the junior suite had no balcony, so we couldn't even escape our stinky room ( i almost wished they had been smokers rooms to take away the smell and i'm a non-smoker. the breakfast, location and staff […] saved it from a total wipeout. This hotel boasts the best value hotel in Hollywood. They are not wrong. Close to everything, great facilities, friendly staff, oh the list goes on. Don't think twice. Truly the best value hotel in Hollywood.

With Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre and Hollywood & Highland Mall & Metro station literally next door, Hollywood Orchid Suites ranks highly in terms of location and convenience. Suites are big though age is showing and air-con is quite noisy. Gated free parking is nice and staff is friendly. Highly recommended for its price and location.

Locatioin of this hotel was AWESOME. Right off Hollywood, tucked away, quiet, but if you want to party and be "right there" , Hollywood Orchid Suites is the place to stay. We'll be back!

this was an old place but was fairly well kept up, we enjoyed our stay, the roof garden was a nice touch, the pool area was nice, our rooms evidently were originally an apartment, two bedrooms, kitchen, etc. this would be a great place for a family, especially with the full kitchen, the continental breakfast was adequate and coffee is available all […] day. we stayed here because our other hotel didn't have a room for an extra night. Excellent accomodations. Check in and check out staff very courteous and frindly. I especially appreciated being reminded to check for cell phone chargers that might have been left plugged in! The location is very convenient and everything is well maintained.

Ideal location for Hollywood Boulevard, Universal Studios, Griffith Observatory and many other attractions.

Located just behind the Highland centre and Kodak theatre. Great location if you want to stay in Hollywood. This hotel is more like a converted apartment building, so rooms are generous in size. We got a Executive suite with a king bed. walk-in wardrobe which leads to the a vanity and bathroom. Seperate full kitchen for people who wanted to cook their […] meals. Rooms are looking bit tired, bit of a musty smell in the room. But the 32" Sony LCD TV was a nice modern touch. Does get a little noisy in the morning with the trucks outside. There was a free continental breakfast in the morning but start time was a little late if you wanted a early start to the day. Free parking was good if you had a car. We had a rental so free parking was a plus. Highland centre shopping pretty much at your doorstep as you can get to Hollywood blvd from the rear entrance of the highland centre. Kodak theatre and chinese theatre just there. Universal studios was only 1 subway stop away and a free shuttle from there to the studios/park. For the price we paid it was good value for LA/Hollywood. So would recommend this hotel as a decent place and convenient to stay while in LA. Læs mere

The hotel definitely could use some updating. It feels dated and old and, as such, not that clean. And for some reason they only have like 10 TV channels, which was annoying. However, you definitely cannot beat the location and the price compared to other hotels in the area. So if you don't plan on spending much time in your room, I'd go for it.
