We enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn Express at Virginia Beach. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. The selling point is every room is ocean-front with a private balcony, and you can walk out the back door directly to the beach. This was a pretty good hotel. Good breakfast, great ocean view, room could have been cleaner, and staff was friendly enough. We stayed on a night when it was full of teenagers and it was a bit crazy. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and in a great location on the beach. The hotel staff was excellent and my husband and I agree that they had the best continental breakfast of any hotel we have stayed in. Overall a great stay and we will definitely stay there again!

Over all an OK stay. They get really busy over the weekends and they don't handle it well. They didn't put ANY towels in our room one day and when we called they brought up dirty towels. The only microwave I could find was in the lobby and it did not work properly and they didn't seem to care. The halls were always dirty and had exrta beds or other […] carts in them. The room was over all nice and the beds were good. The veiw was on GREAT from the room! Breakfast was also very good with a GREAT view. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. I didn't sleep the whole 3 days I stayed. The inside pool was not heated. The hot tub was at a nice temperature but then the pool was like ice.

Hotel is very clean. Breakfast has a lot of choices. 24/7 coffee, tea or hot cocoa in the lobby!

Wonderful customer service and overall stay. The breakfast was a great addition, allowing us to save money for other adventures. Location is great however, the parking SUCKS!!!! It was like playing parking wars or musical cars. Although they have extra parking(blocks away) it was too much of a hassle with small children.

Loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Wonderful sleeping to the sound of he ocean. The hotel is located near the center of the Virginia Beach boardwalk. The Breakfast buffet was yummy.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the ocean view. My only concern is the temperature of the hot tub/sauna- it was too hot. The indoor pool was the perfect temperature. I would stay here again and recommend it to others

This was one of the few hotels on the beach that didn't charge a fee for Internet access and I only needed a room for the night prior to a business meeting, so it met my requirements. There were two things that I might have been upset about had I been there for different reasons: First, the pool is the size of a large bathtub; whoever took the promotional […] pictures should work in Hollywood. Second, I ended up in a room designed for handicapped guests - this wasn't a problem for me, but only because I'm not handicapped. You can only reach the heat/AC controls by climbing over the couch and you could only use the shower by standing up to reach the removable shower head. I thought this hotel was a nice hotel over all. The breakfast was great they had so many choices. The rooms are very comfortable. I did see where they could improve on. I think the pool area is really small. And also the bathroom wasn't so clean. hair's everywhere and rust in the bathtub.

I came here on business for a one night stay in october My first time in Va beach and would definitely consider coming back for an actual vacation! Pleasant ocean view from the room and a nice walk down the boardwalk. I don't know how hectic it gets during the actual summer months in this town, but October was very relaxing and still decent weather […] in the mid 70s. Overall the hotel was nice. The room was very clean and comfortable the view was great. My only complaint was that I reserved a king sized bed (and paid for one) and got a room with 2 doubles. The front desk did not have a king available when we got there.

I stayed there one night. The staff was great. Everything was clean. Breakfast was a good value for the money. Every room looked out to the beach. Can't say enough.

We stayed three nights and it was such a nice room. We stayed extra nights for a wedding and it was really worth it. The Holiday Inn Express is near many specialty stores and restaurants. Nice!!!

Friendly staff and a good family vibe. Check-in and out was a breeze. I booked this room for my parents and they enjoyed their stay. They found the bed very comfortable and enjoyed the view and easy access to the boardwalk and beach. They were a bit disappointed about the lack of service for the room and shower curtain was missing. Room service was […] a no-show the second day. Linen carts living next to the elevator full-time were a bit tacky but it made finding fresh towels easy. Parking is quite limited. Fortunately, I could use the folks' handicap permit to park on the street. Note for future re-modeling, for accessible rooms, please install a shower stall rather than a tub. Læs mere

The hotel was nice and the staff really friendly. Very laid back kind of feel which I guess is expected in a beach city. The room were nice but more important they didnt have that musty mildew smell that most beach hotels have. There was a funny smell coming from the water in the bathroom though. Everything was great. Room clean and neat. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for a quick get-away without our 2 yr old twins! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel is a convenient walk to most restaurants and of course shopping. We loved our balcony and spent much time on it as it rained for a couple hours each day. The in-room refrigerators are plenty big. One downfall […] is there was no in-room safe...I had to keep my purse and valuables with me at all times even when we were hanging out on the beach. The only negative was the breakfast buffett. My husband and I eat relatively healthy meals and when we went down for our first free breakfast, we were greatly disappointed! The eggs were powdered eggs, the bacon was undercooked and the rest of the offerings consistented of biscuits/gravy, sticky buns and such. My husband and I graciously put down our plates and went next door to Little Feets Cafe...we ate most of our breakfast/lunches there...the food was great, the view was even better and the staff was remarkable. The other place we had breakfast was at Mary's...wonderful and very inexpensive. The 15th Street Oyster Bar was very disappointing, Harpoon Larry's had good snow crab legs but the rest of the meal was left to be desired. This was a great hotel and I'd definitely stay here again. Beautiful views-we stayed up late watching the waves and got up early to see beautiful sunrise. Breakfast was great and many selections. The staff were some of the nicest people. They recommended dinner for us and always acknowledged us at the desk very friendly and attentive. I booked a room online at this hotel for Labor Day weeend, not knowing what I would actually get. I could not have been happier with the accomodations! Every room has an ocean view, rooms were clean with all the amenities, staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was free and it's right on the boardwalk close to anything you need. Hotel was conveniently located. Room was clean and fine. Staff was extremely accommodating and responsive (stayed during Hurricane Irene and it was uneventful - Thank the Dear Lord!). We requested a roll-away bed for grandson but none was available. Parking lot was jammed and off-site parking was several blocks away. Room was small but comfortable.Breakfast buffet was very nice.

Hotel is right along the boardwalk. Great restaurants within a few blocks. Comfortable rooms. My wife, daughter, and grand daughter loved it. Two big negatives: very little parking and room cleanliness. We noticed the bathrooms hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. Had to call them around 5:00 pm to clean the room as they hadn't gotten to it. The hotel was ok for the price and located in the middle of the boardwalk. My room was cleaned well everyday however my tb an alarm clocke were both broken when I checked in. The tv was fixed and I let the clock go. There seemed to be a problem with the elevators when I was there and actually had to take te stairs most days (this is a 10 story hotel). […] I have no real problem with it and it was priced well, but in the future I might look around and pay a little more to be closer to the pier and have a little nicer place Læs mere

The Holiday Inn Express Virginia Beach is a good hotel right on the beach. All the rooms (that I could see) direcly face a nice long clean beachfront. A fairly typical Holiday Inn breakfast was included. I like the 24hr coffee available in the lobby. I found it a great place to unwind, but with a small caveat. My wife and i thought that the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull. One night my wife and son had to walk to the store beacause my son had a fever and one of the hotel staff walked them to the store and back to our room which was great! Amazing breakfast, not your ordinary bagels and muffins. Very comfortable beds, if you want to bring a baby the king suite has plenty of room for a pack-n-play.

The room was excellent, clean, and quiet. We went at the perfect time of year, not too hot, not too cold, not many people on the boardwalk or beaches. The hotel had a few guests but not over crouded. Breakfast was great-- eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy! The room was clean and had great ocean views! No complaints here.

The Hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was so friendly and really made you feel at home. The only complaint that I have is that when I checked in my room, the toilet had urine in it and toilet paper, the hotel did not have the room that I had reserved, but was able to transfer me w/o any problems

One of the reasons we picked the hotel was because of the heated indoor pool to get away from the winter doldrums. The pool was not heated and was cold. It was very disappointing to me and my grandchildren. I would not recommend this hotel for the winter if you want to use the pool.

Check in was simple and even 1 hour before expected, the room was great, the hot breakfast buffet was delicious, and the stay was without fault.

Everything was what I expected except for parking. I had to park in an overflow lot and had no security to walk with me. Not very safe for a woman. Roberto was an incredible help th morning of check out give the man a raise.
