GREAT PLACE TO STAY. EXCELLENT LOCATION

Hotel's lobby was nice but the rooms are old and plain. Breakfast was good..

The location of the Hotel makes it a good place to stay but that is really all the positives comments I can make about it. The room we stayed in was very tired. The room itself was clean but the bathroom could have been better. Luckily it wasn't too hot when we stayed as there is no air conditioning. The windows open, but given it's location, there […] was a lot of noise outside from quite early on in the morning. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. If you want somewhere central to stay that's functional then the Hotel is OK - but I don't believe it warrants a 4 star rating. Læs mere

A pleasant comfortable hotel close to the city centre and seafront, would definately stay there again iwhwn next in Wellington

great location very comfortable

This stay came about because an Air NZ service from Timaru was cancelled causing me to miss a connection. However, the stay at the hotel was very comfortable and dining to the sound of a grand piano being played added to the elegant ambiance. I've stayed here before and I will be more than happy to stay there again.

Very comfortable 2 night stay, wonderful location, carpark behind very convenient and reasonable....$18 for 2 nights!! Our room was very quiet.

We came down to stay for 2 nights for my sons graduation. The location was excellent. There were three single beds in one awkedly configured room. It was one of the last two to be sold, so that's obvioulsy the reason why it's not popular. The shower head was pitiful, I was actually cold trying to have a hot shower due to the low pressure and shower […] head size. Also the towel rail was too small to take the thickness of our towels. Other than that it did the job. Next time I will order in plenty of time. Oh and there should have been at least one computer available for internet access. We didn't get off to a good start as the receptionist took quite some time to acknowledge us - she was far too busy with paperwork! I wouldn't have called her very welcoming either. We were somewhat surprised at the size of our room - quite different from the photo on the web and containing only 1 lounge chair...for 2 people? Have stayed here twice in the last year, great service, friendly staff. Very accomodating!!

The West Plaza took the liberty of changing our reservation for a queen bed to a room with 3 twin beds. They would not honor our original reservation stating that they'd moved us because the hotel was full. My husband and I were visiting New Zealand on our honeymoon, and were forced to spend the night in separate beds in a dirty room accross from the […] elevators. The room had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. There was an open envelope on the desk with another guest's information and hairs in the bathroom. When we pulled the sheets down to go to bed, there were stains on the sheets of 2 out of 3 beds. We had to call the front desk to have them bring new sheets. The hotel is very central and as such is very cheap. I thought it was good value for money. Not the most sumptuous hotel but very adequate and suitable for what I wanted. I didnt eat at the restaurant apart from breakfast which was fine. Staff were helpful.

Conveniently located but very basic and more like a 2-3 star that 4. The lobby looks presentable but with the restaurant right in the lobby it does not encourage you to sit and ponder whilst eating. The rooms are very basic indeed. They are dated and in need of modernisation. Most of the facilities that I saw were likewise basic and dated. Definitely […] not worth the 4 stars this hotel purports to have. Spend an extra $20 and go elsewhere. You'll thank yourself. Would not recommend. Læs mere

Ideal location for sightseeing, short walking distance to sights and restaurants. Room good but very poor shower water flow, which varied constantly in temperature from warm to cold. On second day, used shampoo and soap was not replaced.

Hotel is clean and well kept. Staff pleasant, courteous and helpful...good room service. Room and bathroom clean, but no microwave in room and very small refrigerator. Free use of umbrellas and universal electrical adaptors (220-110 volt) for charging cell phone and computer batteries. No hotel airport shuttle service, however good rates for private […] commercial shuttle service. Elevators are small...not much area for luggage and passengers. Enjoyed evening dinners with live piano music. I enjoyed my stay...only detractor is no microwave small refrigerator in room. Læs mere

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, Hotel war sehr gut erreichbar,Hotel von außen und in der Halle schöner und besser als die Zimmer, die sehr schlicht gehalten sind, aber durchaus sauber und ok. Continental breakfast gut, viele frische Früchte und für 18,-- NZ§ sehr angemessen. Abends in der Bar sehr netter Service, aber man konnte nicht alles bestellen […] was auf der Karte stand. Würde das Hotel aber jedem empfehlen, der ein Hotel in Wellington mitten im Zentrum sucht. Læs mere

Wir hatten nur eine Nacht im West Plaza Hotel. Das Hotel ist keine 4 Sterne mehr. Es hatte schon bessere Tage. Die Gänge und Zimmer sind abgewohnt. Der Service war überhaupt nicht 4 Sterne. Das Essen war kalt.

ホテル自体は立派ですけど、 受付スタッフたちの愛想が悪く最悪でした。 挨拶もろくにしないし接客態度が雑。 ラグビーワールドカップ中にいろいろ泊まりましたが、 このホテルがワースト。 二度と泊まりたくありません。

Everything worked really nicely and food was truly good. Rooms were a bit oldish and quite small, but nothing impossible.

ruhige, schöne und saubere Zimmer; hilfsbereiter und freundlicher Service; leckeres Frühstück; sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis
