Værelserne er lyse og lækkere. Personalet utrolig hjælpsomme og beliggenheden god eneste minus er en utrolig dyr morgenmad der absolut ikke er noget særligt-

meget god oplevelse hotellets personale var meget venligt imødekommende og servicemindede

This is my favourite hotel in Amsterdam, quiet and less clinical than the big chains, with great access to all the parts of Amsterdam that I like. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Another great stay :)

This is one of my favourite hotels in Amsterdam. It is quaint, and well located for the museum quarter of Amsterdam. Although it is not in the centre of town, it is easily accessible using the frequent tram service which passes the end of the road.

Good location and decent hotel but certainly not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Staff was a mixed bag, some nice, some not particularly friendly. Upon checking in we were not told room number, location or anything else, having to ask instead. He did however give us a map of the city. After checking in a staff member had to come in to the […] room to check that the minibar had not been used, which could have been checked beforehand. The room was very small, which would have been fine if there was a decent window. Instead the only window was more of a vent located high up on the wall letting in light but not letting you see outside, resulting in a very cramped and confined space. The TV looked 20 years old and was tiny. Otherwise ok. The worst thing was however the ridiculous charges for extra services. 17 euro for wifi! 4,50 for a packet of peanuts! This is nothing other than extortion. Ok hotel but just full of disappointments. Will not return. Læs mere

Hotel well located for museums, concertgebouw,and leidseplein. Hotel single rooms very small (had difficulty getting my suitcase into the room). Breakfast O.K. but nothing special. Overall a typical Amsterdam hotel.

Very small rooms. Would be better if they made the bed a little smaller so that you could at least walk round it without bumping into the chair, desk etc. Due to horrible weather, we had an early dinner in the bar and they charged 13.95 euros for a supermarket pizza that must have cost 2 euros at most. Nice hotel, room tiny with insufficient light. Waiter could not even bring room service tray as room too small to get two people into. Bed was more like a sofa. Nice hotel, nice location, nice staff but room too small with insufficient light.

Nice hotel, friendly service. Breakfast reasonably priced if ordered evening before, wifi not for free. Good location

Hotel location fine but having paid decent money for a 4* hotel to find ourselves booked in to a room that may previously been the broom cupboard, where there was literally no room to bend over in and you had to lie down on the floor to access the safe (which didn't work anyway!) is freakin unforgivable. Avoid.

This hotel has a lot of potential to be better but currently its not. The room was tiny, and i know how small hotels are in europe - it was TINY. The shower was positioned so awkwardly in the bathroom, I think it was their way of being "modern" but it unfortunately didnt work. It was a shower, in the middle of the bathroom, with jsut a curtain and it […] just splatter everywhere!! Horrible setup. I think in the end i could have taken the setup of the room, but the room smelled so bad, like body odor. and lastly, I put up the "do not disturb" sign and 2 times, they came in and cleaned my room. Obviously television isn't a high priority item for most travellers. However, if you do intend to stay in of an evening and watch the box then you might wish to consider a different hotel. The reason being that this hotel places the TVs on the top of high cupboards in the corner of the room (in a lot of rooms - including expensive ones). The Hotel was very nice and in a beautiful location and would recommend staying their!!

Stayed here for 3 nights while at a conference and it is a conveniently located and pleasant hotel close to Museumplein and several tram routes. The room was nicely furnished and clean but very small. Fine as I was the only occupant . The staff were polite and helpful and there is a nice bar with a small outdoor terrace.

Be aware that if you are attracted to "special" advertised prices at Hotel Jan Luyken this will refer to their very small corner rooms. These small rooms would be perfect for one person but are claustrophobic for two, with little room beside the bed and nowhere to stow luggage. However, if you want to visit the museums, and are only staying in Amsterdam […] for a day or two, then this clean and quiet hotel is fine. Læs mere

We could not have been happier. The staff were very helpful, the morning breakfast was excellent, and the location can't be beat. I would definitely staff there again when U I return.

Overall, wonderful spot to use for visiting the museums in Amsterdam. Easy walk to the central interesting neighborhoods. Room was a bit small, but clean and comfortable. Hotel was very clean and stylish ands staff was delightful.

The hotel is nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. The location is amazing, so close to Leidseplein, the Fashion district a nice Park and van Gogh Museum and Rejksmuseum. Be very careful securing the lowest priced single room,it is the size of a single room in University Residence about the size of a large walk in closet!!! Hotel was nicely presented, good spot on a quiet stret but very close to trams, next to reiksmuseum. rooms were nice but small, breakfast expensive

This hotel could not be more conveniently located, within an easy 5-minute walk of the Rijksmuseum, the VanGogh Museum, and the Concertgebouw. The rooms are neat and clean, although very small; but then, how much time does one actually spend in one's room when touring a city? The staff were friendly but, at least some of them, somewhat distanced.

Quiet neighborhood and very, very close to Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, near a plethora of restaurants and the tram stop! This hotel is located one block from high-end stores like Chanel, IKKS, etc. Rooms were small but clean and hotel seemed well- maintained. WiFi is not included and quite pricey. I chose this because of location near museums. Perfect neighborhood for that. Nice residential neighborhood, just a block or 2 from museums and canal boats. Room was ok, not great, small but tidy. Carpet seemed in need of more cleaning. Staff was helpful. Bathroom small, but that's what I chose for the price.

Our room was very large, lovely bathroom and close to transport. Staff were very helpful throughout our visit. Also walking distance to many cafe's and also museums. Highly recommend this Hotel and will stay here again when visiting Amsterdam.

The hotel is close to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum and is situated in an attractive street near the Vondelpark. The tram stop for access to other parts of the city is very close. The staff ware courteous and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable although rather modest in size. The air conditioning was very efficient. Our only complaint […] was the price of breakfast but, if you did not wsh to pay this, there were plenty of cafes nearby which offered breakfast for less than half the hotel price. I have stayed here before, because the location ios fabulous, 2 min from the major museums, and on a direct tram route to everywhere. The hotel is small but has everything that I need for a short break in Amsterdam. The surrounding area with its desgner shops is quiet and calm, with plenty of restaurants for evenings out. The service is top notch. You just get the sense that everybody that works there has been in the service industry for a long time. It is three original homes that have been converted into the boutique hotel. My room was small but very comfortable. The breakfast was good. I did not use the spa but it looked very nice. This is one of the good ones!

Very pleasant location in a quiet area, which was a nice change from the crowds of Central Amsterdam. I rented a bike during my stay, so I could get anywhere in 10 min anyways. I highly recommend renting a bike in this city, could be the best big city for biking in the world. Tram is close by so that is another option. Service is very good at the hotel, […] the room was much smaller than I expected though. Pretty good deal overall, I would enjoy this hotel again but I would also probably look into other hotels too. This hotel - was very nice. Clean, well maintained, and friendly staff. I didn't have their breakfast so can't comment. The area is within walking distance of museums and Leidensplein - (where there's lots of shopping). The roomm a bit small -b ut I was a solo traveler so it was good for me.. On arrival, we were immediately urged to upgrade to a larger room, saying the "double" would have too small a bed and not enough room for our luggage. We had to drag four suitcases up six steps to get to our upgraded room (over $50 more per night), which was a reasonable size. Breakfast was not included, and cost 20 euros each. The air conditioner in […] our room was never fixed despite three complaints, and the room was too warm throughout our stay; at night, we opened the window. Ideal location for museums, less than two blocks, and the best Indonesian rijstaffel is just two blocks away. These positives would lead us to stay her again, but not enthusiastically. Læs mere

One caveat for those planning to stay here: There is a small lift (elevator). While there are some rooms on each floor that are on the same level as the lift, most require walking up a few additional steep steps which are difficult to negotiate for the movement-challenged. Also, there is no way to get to their breakfast room without going up and down […] some stairs. This is a great hotel, constucted by connecting three existing small buildings together (a common occurance in Amsterdam). The staff is wonderful -- friendly and helpful. Because there are many other buildings of similar height and the streets are narrow, there aren't any spectacular views from the rooms, but this is more than compensated by the close proximity to parks, museums, shopping, restaurants, and the Concertgebouw (for music lovers). Hadde vært fint om det ble opplyst om transport fra/til flyplass når vi bestilte hos dere. Vi ringte hotellet, og de kunne opplyse at buss nr 197 gikk fra flyplassen og stoppet like ved hotellet. Veldig praktisk. Vi kjøpte bl.a. billett til Keykenhof på hotellet. De burde vært flinkere til å fortelle om "varen" de solgte oss. Vi fikk besjed om hvor […] og når vi måtte møte, men at vi skulle betale cash på bussen. Vi løp rundt for å finne minibank. Så viste det seg at vi skullel gå inn på turistkontoret og betale der, kort eller cash, og vi ble fulgt derfra til bussen. Mange mennesker og mye styr gjorde at vi brukte tid her, men fant frem og ble med på tur som var en opplevelse!! Læs mere

De ligging is perfect, het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was heel erg klein, de douche was klein, het douchegordijn was te kort waardoor het vloertje van de badkamer helemaal nat werd ondanks dat we erg voorzichtig hebben gedoucht.

Wat een geweldig hotel, prettig ontvangst, mooie kamer, toplocatie. Een aanrader! Hannah

Ryddig og fint hotell i fint strøk. Rolig og avslappet område med mange spisesteder og drikkesteder.

Las habitaciones pequeñas pero acogedoras. El personal del hotel muy amable y dispuesto siempre a ayudar y colaborar..En conjunto recomiendo este hotel para pasar unos días en Amsterdam

goed, locatie goed , personeel prima en heerlijk ontbijt. kamer wat klein en wat weinig licht, wat heel gezellig is, maar vervelend als je je koffer moet pakken en dingen moet zoeken. overigens prima

Glimrende hotell i et stille, men sentralt område. Rommet vi fikk hadde god standard, men var litt lite. Likevel ok for kun ei natt. Glitrende service :o)

Personnel accueillent, très attentionnés. Seul bémol: la télécommande d'une vieille télé à la chambre ne fonctionnais pas.
