Hampton Inn Birmingham/MTN Brook - Homewood

I've stayed in several hotels around Samford University. This Hampton Inn offered better accomodations at a better price...pleasently surprised! The bathroom was a little small...but the room and service was great!

Very nice experience. Staff was very service oriented. Room was nice and clean. 24 hour coffee in the lobby was good and fresh. Only negatives were very minor...AC unit was loud as it cycled throughout the night, pillows were lumpy. Never-the-less, I would choose again and recommend.

Really liked the location of the hotel and thought the cleanliness and service was top notch. Easy to get in and out with all the amenities needed for a business trip! Will stay here again on my next visit!

Nothing fancy but everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and I was pleased.

This is a really nice hotel in a great area. The room was kind of small, the shower was terrible (you either froze to death or scalded your skin), and the pillows were little squares, but the breakfast was amazing and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

The hotel is an older hotel that has been renovated. It was a very nice stay for our soccer team for a 3-day tournament. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again.

The Mtn Brook Hampton Inn is a very fine place to stay. The Hotel staff is friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. the breakfasts are great. I look forward to staying there again.

The staff was always very friendly and willing to accommodate all your needs. Everyone I met was up beat and made you feel welcome at the hotel. I will recommend this hotel to my friends traveling to Birmingham, AL.

We were visiting our daughter at UAB. It is definitely conveniently located to campus...just 5 min away. The hotel has been recently renovated. They have bottled water & coffee available 24hrs. The hotel staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

The room was a little small but otherwse comfortable and adequate for my short stay in Birmingham. I would definitely stay here again if I have to.

This Hampton Inn was fine in every way, It's location wasn't bad but I would have preferred a little closer to speedway but considering it to be a high traffic weekend it worked just fine.

In town for business, and found this to be a wonderful hotel. Room was a bit small, but the design and built-ins made it seem much bigger.

The room was clean and the staff was professional. They did a fine job with the breakfast. Most Hampton Inns serve the same thing. This location had different omlettes each morning with several other additions. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in B'ham.

Booked hotel as doing orientation at UAB. In that respect position etc was perfect. On arriving we had a great welcome but then on going to our room the key would not work (twice) and therfore had to be mmoved to another room. Room was great, clean, and neat. The hotel is oldish and I guess going through a little maintenance and renovation right now […] was could be nicer. Receptionists (different during our stay) were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, so all in all a good place to stay and will be better when renovations are completed. Recently redecorated, the Hampton inn Bham/Mt. Brook is a lovely, pleasant spot to stay in Birmingham. The staff have never failed to be friendly, efficient and courteous. It seems a little out of the way, but it is conveniently located to downtown Birmingham, Homewood, Mt. Brook, University Hospital, and all points off Hwy 280. This is a great hotel. The location is a little off, but there are many food places right next door. The staff was great and free bottles of water are provided in the lobby. If it weren't for the hotels.com price then I would not be happy with my stay. This hotel was loud on the first floor with people coming and going/waiting for elevators. This is not the case with other hotels. Staff were loud in the mornings and we were able to get a replacement key to our room without anyone asking for our ID. We loved this hotel & will definitely be back! Everyone was so friendly. The room was spotless and the beds had many fluffy pillows. The breakfast had a huge assortment of options - bacon /eggs/hash browns, make-your-own waffles, fruit, hot/cold cereals, breads & muffins & sweet rolls etc - much more than we expected!! I couldn't get my college student […] out of bed for breakfast but no problem - the hotel had ready made "breakfast on the go" bags. How awesome! This was a tremendous value. I highly recommend it. What made the hotel stay great was the friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was genuinely concerned with the guests.

The one complaint I had with the hotel room was that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. I had trouble with directions due to my reliance on Mapquest. Mapquest evidently is not aware there is a stop light right in front of the hotel. Their map and directions had me look for Office Park Dr. (as I drove south on #280) where I was to make a U-turn […] on Office Park Dr. and go back north on #280 to the hotel. There is no exit marked Office Park Dr. so I drove too far south. I had driven right past the hotel, but I was concentrating on traffic and exit signs so did not look across the street to see the hotel. Læs mere

The hotel had a bad odor in the rooms and in the hallway. The rooms and carpets were run down. The staff was nice.

Everything was - staff was courteous - only complaint was the pillows were too soft.

Hotellet hadde glimrende beliggenhet for oss, som skulle til Mounten Brook, et rolig strøk. Enkelt å finne, 15 minutter å kjøre fra flyplasse. Rommene var fine, men som familierom litt små. Meget god service og personlaet var imøtekommende. Rommene var rene og pene, men som sagt litt små for 4. Fin og god frokost. Anbefaler absolutt dette hotellet. […] Vi lå der i 7 dager, tre dager lenger enn planlagt, bla fordi vi likte hotellet.
