Premiere Hotel and Suites - New Haven

I stayed with my girlfriend one night in Premiere Hotel and Suites moving from NYC to Boston. It is very close to the I95, and 15 min. by car from the city centre of New Haven. The Hotel is organized as a Motel with small buildings containing few rooms. When we arrived the staff was not particularly kind, but in general efficient. We parked our car […] and in the alleyway there was a bad smell, probably due to the compost in the flowerbeds: but inside the room everything was fine and clean. Also a kithchen was available, but we didn't used it except from the microwave oven, where we coocked some complimentary popcorns...! The breakfast was nice, with cackes, waffles, fruit, etc. served in the common room. In general a good experience: the price was not so cheap, even if aligned with the "Boston area". Læs mere

no tv, no internet for 2 days

Spent the weekend with my husband and two teenagers in the two room suite. We had plenty of space, which is important wben travelling with my son and daughter. One slept on the sofa bed one in the loft and my husband and I had privacy doors to our room. Great having 2 bathrooms as well as a kitchen complete with all the basic supplies. Stayed there for a conference, couldn't have asked for more. The staff are extremely friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. Not exactly in downtown, but it's a short 5 min drive.

We stayed in a two bed room suite with dinning table, kitchen, fridge, etc. We including my teenage kids felt surprising comfortable. Close to highway but quiet. Front desk is friendly. Would stay again if needed.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It was very close to the train station. There is not very much to do around the location. However, taxi cabs were readily available. It was very clean and spaces. The check in went smooth and the clerk was helpful and kind. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who stays in the area. Stayed in the Executive Penthouse Suite and it was great. Two bedrooms, split level with plenty of space. Everything was great...... except for breakfast. It really tasted badly. Great room for the price. Just be prepared for a morning breakfast buffet that was less than par,

Although out of the way, this hotel is a good value. Light supper and breakfast included. Coffee was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. I used the free shuttle twice to bring me into New Haven proper. Definitely recommended!

Upon check in we were very unhappy with the condition of our room. We found it to be unclean and dusty with dirt in corners and dead spiders on the floor. We complained to receptionist at front desk and she was extremely accomodating at changing our room. We were very happy with the new room. we had a 2 bedroom suite which was huge, a comfortable king bed downstairs with tons of pillows and a queen up in the loft. Each had nice attached baths. A full kitchen, eating area, a living room with fireplace. Each bedroom had it's own tv, as well as one in the living room. Nice breakfast in lobby available and courtious staff. Only problem we had […] was figuring out the shower but once we did, a super nice shower! Also no wi-fi available. Otherwise we loved it and will definately use whenever we are in new Haven. Apartment was ok but the furniture is quite old, especially the kitchen and its appliances do not correspond to the kitchen photographs shown on the web page. Also, there are only 2 plates, 2 glasses, two forks etc., and unless you want to run a half empty dish washer, you have to clean up directly. in Addition, in the apartment where we stayed, there […] was no wireless internet access and the internet connection via cable did not work neither. Front desk staff was kind. The hotel is really a collection of townhouse like buildings with separate outside entrances to each room;comfortable beds, but a little run down. Probably better for longer term need for a studio. Not within walking distance to anything--in an industrial business area. Asked for wake up call and it never happened.

From other reviews, I expected more comfort. The rooms are dark (bring extra lighting if you plan to spend more than an overnight). We had a couple of technical issues (one bank of lights wouldn't turn on; the pilot light on the heater was out) - and maintenance staff took care of them quickly and efficiently (and were friendly!). Although it's posted […] no smoking, the bed linens definitely had an off odor. There are dead bugs in the ceiling light fixture; accumulated grime in corners and behind doors. The breakfast is a plus - fresh fruit, whole grain bread and cereals, plus heartier (but not tasty) fare. It's located in a warehouse district - but was surprisingly quiet. Læs mere

Great place, however, horrible not willing to help or make ur stay enjoyable staff. If you just wish to stay and not converse with the front... Go for it. Hotel room was great!

My experience at the hotel overall was okay. It's not in the best of neighborhoods but niether is anything in New Haven from what I gathered. The room was pretty decent, nice fireplace. My only major complaint was the lack of customer service from the staff thatwas at the front desk during my stay. One woman in particular was unhelpful and rude.. so […] much for customer service in 2012! If you're looking for good customer experience with your hotel stay this may not be up to par! Læs mere

Make sure to ask how to use the shower or you wont be having one. First experience ever not being able to figure out how to get the shower to work. Front desk confirmed the next morning 'they are very tricky'. Note to front desk - you may want to convey that on check in. excellent, comfortable lodging a bit pricey Breakfast should be served till a later time

We stayed here because it is very close to the highway and also close to downtown. Also is spacious for a family of 5. Two Bathrooms is a blessing.

The hotel is a little hard to find. It is out of the way in a mainly industrial area - but is private and quiet. My room was on the second floor - with an outside stairway and no elevator. Fine for me - but would be a problem for someone with a disability. The kitchen was very nice - equiped with dishes and cooking utensils. Would be very convenient […] for longer stays. Læs mere

i would stay again. Room was pricey and expected it to be a little nicer but it was a little old. Pool & spa were filled in but breakfast was good. not on the water like i expected from the map. kitchen area a little dated and dishwasher didnt clean. Lots of TVs and plenty of space.trees scratch window in the wind but overall quiet

Rooms very clean, spacious and appointed nicely. Staff very helpful. I was disappointed that it wasn't licensed. The food was awful at breakfast and ordinary in the evening. The breakfast Danish, etc., we too stale to eat So accommodation was very nice, otherwise disappointing.

The Premiere Hotel and Suites in New Haven provide a fantastic floorplan and environment. It is a cluster of small buildings and walkways that seem like a resort village. They provide an excellent breakfast with a wide assortment of continental and hot foods in a nice environment. The Internet connection seemed faster than what is usually supplied […] by hotels and was provided by a long cable that would reach just about anywhere. That said, I had some reservations with my stay: the hair dryer was cheap and weak, most of my pots and bowls were dirty, the complimentary in-room popcorn failed to pop and my microwave stopped working. Also, the location is not convenient to anything if you do not have a car. Great for extended luxury stays where you have time to set-up and stay awhile. Probably not worth the premium price if you do not need the space and full kitchen for a short stay. Læs mere

Usually a good, reliable stay with a very tasty free breakfast buffet and a great courtesy van into downtown New Haven. This time when we arrived they had no electricity due to the storm; they were quite helpful in getting us alternate accomodation and once things started back to normal so did service.

My Fiance and I stayed here on a whim. We had never been to New Haven and found this hotel at a bargain price. We got what we paid for. A place with a comfortable bed to sleep. This hotel is not in the best location and could probably use a facelift to be a true 21st century hotel. The Suite was comfortable, standard kitchen, bathroom, shower, and living […] space. There was a fireplace in the room as well which was a nice addition. The couch was uncomfortable and old. The bed was a large king sized bed with clean, crisp sheets, and a nice pillow top. The hotel itself is located about 10-15 minutes drive from the downtown / Yale area. Læs mere

Clean rooms, tasty breakfast , great beds and a wonderful shuttle that will take you anywhere in center New Haven.

The location is a little hard to find and a little out of the way, but not far from New Haven by car. Spacious rooms and friendly staff.

The hotel is near the haven. It is surrounded by industrie and a big street. There is a shuttle to the city and the yale university, but not to the beach. They didnt tell us how to come to the beach by bus. We had to ask at the busstation. The stuff wasnt that friendly. The breakfast was ok. The room was a bit to dark but comfortable.

Spacious, nice and clean room. Hotel in a quiet area.

Stayed here a number of times. Can be very noisy all night and awful smell from the toilets in some rooms. Not much choice for suite hotels in the area though.
