We had a room on the back side of the hotel, just a few hundred feet from 4 lanes of Interstate 95. We could not sleep all night due to the constant truck and car traffic noise from this road.

We visited Philly for vacation. The hotel is located close to the historic distance - within easy walking distance. The Reading Terminal Market is an easy walk away. The view of the river was nice from the upper floors. The hotel service was good. The only negative is you have to wait a while for the courtesy shuttle.

Had an amazing experience even with the little problem with our room it was instantly resolved and even given special attention for the slight mix up the room was beautiful and the view of the waterfront

Hotel was just a couple blocks from Festival Pier and Market Street. Very conveniently located and lots to do nearby. Staff was nice and friendly and the hotel was clean - great stay.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I booked it because it was walking distance (1/2 mile) to Penn's Landing where I was attending the Roots Annual Picnic. The room was spacious, bed was comfy and staff provided me with great customer service. Very friendly people. Shuttle service of hotel to anywhere w/in 2 miles was quite convenient. We used it for outing in the evening. View from hotel room to bridge was fabulous...especially very early in the morning when sun was coming out. We'd like to stay here when we visit this city next time.

It was an average stay, The floor of our room was very noisy during the night. I should have called management. I was hoping they would take care of the noise - it was hard to ignore. However, the room was clean and comfortable.

Very comfortable hotel room, particularly the bed. Hotel was clean and front desk was very friendly. I was wary about the location at first, particularly concerned that it would be isolated. The hotel is actually located next to Race street and a block away from Old City. At no point did I feel unsafe walking to and from the hotel at various points […] in the night. Very nice location. Have a nice breakfast buffet. Very accomodating staff. They let us keep our luggage until later in the day. Only down side was the 25 dollar parking fee on top of the room. Otherwise is a very good place to stay. Can walk to most historical sites or they have a shuttle in the am and evening.

I was familiar w/ the hotel as a Comfort Inn. Holiday Inn Express did do some upgrades but very similar to the Comfort Inn. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Holiday Inn was near all the colonial and revolutionary sites we came to see in Philly. Additionally, their shuttle service (thanks, LEE!) took us everywhere so we didn't have to spend any time figuring out routes and parking. Great 2 day stay while in town for a business convention. The Hotel had everything I needed and more. The local was close enough to everything I needed while still being away from the center of the city.

Room itself was nice, but location is not good, breakfast mediocre, staff nice, but were never informed about shuttle service. Far from sites with lots of extra walking required to get where you want to go. On a busy highway and noisy at night.

No complaints about the hotel itself and its staff.The only complaint was its location close to the station... trains were running all night and our room was located such that the noise was loud througout the night, and rather disturbing.

I travel for work (35 states each year) and the staff here is some of the best I've seen at this tier of hoteI; cheery, knowledgeable and capable. I liked the hotel. The staff were friendly. They include breakfast, which had a good selection. Basket of cookies at front desk provided for mid-day snack. It was a very busy seating area where you sat down to eat. It was convenient to the school my son had his graduation.

This hotel was directly across from the river and we were able to walk to many things. The hotel provides shuttle service to any where within several blocks which was great. The shuttle drivers were really friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was really good although I would have liked to see some healthier choices. Three things really bugged us: […] 1. the bathroom door was sprung and made a really loud screeching noise. Both days we were there I asked the front desk to do something about it and they said they would and didn't. 2. The hotel charges $25/day to park your car. I did not see this on the website when I booked. After the fact I did find it under "parking". It should have been more obvious. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was price. When you add in the cost of parking the total cost was equal to or higher than other hotels. 3. The housekeeping lady was very loud and very rude. Several people had the "quiet" signs on their doors at 8 a.m. and she was yelling down the hall and making all kinds of loud noise. When I said I would be leaving in a few minutes she asked me to bring her my trash can. When I said I would be leaving she ROLLED HER EYES AT ME! I was there a few months prior when it was comfort inn and three renovations look great! Staff very friendly and understanding! They were busy so it took forever to get a refrigerator in my room but once they explained to me the problem I was OK. Great location for partying /clubbing downtown Philly! Parking a bit much but it was all worth it!

Overall, the stay was very good and the nightly cost was the best. a car not a necessity due to the shuttle service. Hotel was very well located close to the Historic District and museums.

I have stayed in many hotels before and is the first time that I as a guest had to pay $25 dollar for parking in the hotel that I was staying in. Also, for the price I paid, the room seem so pathetic no closet, no mini fridge and a very small bathroom. I stayed overnight, and I must say. It's not worth the price I paid.

Everything is great but you may want to skip their breakfast and hope that they get their elevator situation straightened out. It is slow and clunky and takes a long time arriving at your floor and an even longer time gettng you to the lobby.

I was in Philadelphia for a sporting event, and this hotel was accessible to the sports complex south of town via a relatively short cab ride. The property is situated next to I-95, which made for a bit of a noisy stay. There is a free shuttle that can take customers to the interesting sites in the historic district, but the second day I got tired of […] waiting for a ride so I walked the few blocks into town. Nice price for a Sat night in Philly. Walking distance to good locations like South Street and the liberty bell. Plenty of restaurants and shops there. Located within 5-10 min of the Ben Franklin bridge so very easy to get out of dodge. Breakfast was eh - food was avg but it was overly crowded so we had to take the food back up to the room. The price was right but ask for the front of the hotel as the traffic sound from the elevated highway running behind the hotel made it hard to sleep soundly. The AC/Heater unit did not have a FAN ON setting so there was no way to create white noise to help. Parking at $25 a night is steep.
