I had a very good "in and out" stay at Microtel. The shuttle service works perfect and the rooms are quite good for the price. (breakfast included) The quality and service should qualify the hotel to more than 2 stars.

"Location not easy to find"
Staff was friendly, room was clean, but smelled like an odor killing cleaner had been used. Breakfast was fine. Location and smell only downfalls.

I told the front desk and we were downgraded to a smaller room. Our smaller room was clean, the staff was nice, the breakfast area and the breakfast itself was somewhat lacking. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great. However, my room was very musty, mildew-y smelling. I commented this to the staff and was told that is common for Missouri. I wondered about bugs in my bed, because I had bites on my arms on waking in the morning. My business companion said she had bugs and ants in her room. Some of the side entry […] ways could use cleaning attention as well as a pick-me-up outside the building and its surrounding area. A little off the main track, but definitely worth checking out! The staff was very helpful and friendly.
"Hard to find, but nice for the price."
This place is hard to find, and the fact that there was road construction (not their fault) made it a total pain as the road was closed and we had to go miles out of our way to come from the other direction. It was a little hard to find cause they had been doing some street work nearby and took down the streetsign and hadnt got it put back. The place had some minor cosmetic maintence issues but all in all was clean and accomadating.

Centrally located. Really nice hot breakfast... waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit, bagels, cereal, peach, apple and orange juice. Free internet. Nice breakfast room.

I chose the Country Hearth in because of their pet policy and found them to be a wonderful hotel. The room was very clean, and comfortable, the staff very friendly, and they had a very nice breakfast available in the lobby. I had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at my share of hotels in my lifetime, but I have to admit...my experience @ Country Hearth Inn & Suites was a fantastic one. The front desk clerks were friendly & helpful, the staff that cooked breakfast were super friendly & even went out of their way for us. Rooms were clean & the hotel has free internet service. "Excellent! Highly Recommended"
The La Quinta Inn had excellent service! The quality and size of the breakfast was way above expectations, and it was delicious. Service at this hotel was also great. The wireless internet that was available was fast and reliable. The common and private rooms were kept clean and smelling great! Note that this area of KC does smell a bit like bad eggs. "La Quinta Kansas City, MO Northeast - Stinky"
This specific hotel is near the Kansas City Waste Management Plant and there is a constant smell of human waste about the hotel. It is also near an industrial area of the city and many tractor trailer drivers use this hotel. They park their rigs in the same lot as the standard size vehicles, taking up several spaces and leaving little room for others […] to park. Læs mere
"The area is really bad"
This hotel is sounded of nothing. Lot of trucks, trains passing about 200 yards from the hotel. And smells horrible, the smell penetrates inside the hotel.

"Not too Bad"
Room was clean and nice. Outside and surrounding area seemed a little shady. At night there is a terrible pungent smell outside of the building. Didnt affect the room smell though.

I had Hotel Reservations for a smokeing room and they gave me a no smokeing room and they said they didn't have any other smokeing rooms.
