The Grafton On Sunset - West Hollywood

Hotellet ligger fint i forhold til centrum af LA, Fin indretning. Poolområde er fint, selvom vi ikke benyttede det. Der er også mindre fitness rum. Udgift til parkering er væsentlig 35 $ pr. dag. Der er kun mulighed for, at de parkerer bilen. Som transit hotel, er det helt fint, og vi kunne godt finde på at bruge det igen.

Grafton on Sunset, er et super dejligt hotel, lidt for lille have, men hvis man ikke har behov for stor pool, og mange liggestole, ligger det hyggelige hotel supergodt. Kan klart anbefales.

It was very nice and trendy. Lighting was very low and the snacks they provide seem free but they aren't. It's underground so don't be fooled by the small outside, it's fairly large. First off, room #321 should be avoided at all cost. It's a very noisy room, the view of the Olive restaurant from the room’s main window, makes leaving the shutters open a no-go! They charge for everything in this place, Wi-Fi is extra, parking is extra $35 per night, is outrageous, I think if I used more than one towel it would be extra as well. The […] front desk personnel are very matter of fact and could care if your hands are full when you walk, "hi, we need your ID and Credit Card". Very bad service. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Hotel smelled very bad and management refused to change our room or offer a refund. Way to expensive for what you get. Motel 6 would have been the better choice.

Really nice hotel right on the Sunset blvd.

The hotel was great rooms super cozy but spacious comfy beds & location couldn't have been better the staff was very nice as well especially the valets thanks grafton!

Hotel location is good but pics and rating are deceiving. Would rate it three star...didn't feel or look clean.

No complaints about this hotel except for the $35 valet. Front desk manager (Carlos) went out of his way to take care of us.

The hotel was very nice. The Front Office Staff was very hospitable. Room was comfortable but the walls and floors are thin that you can hear all noises very easily. The doors of the guest rooms slams very easily that every time someone leaves or enters their rooms you can hear the door slam. Meanwhile the maids need to be a little more quiet. Spent a total of ten days at the Grafton on Sunset and we had such a great time. The hotel is funky but still classy without being too "stiff". Good atmosphere and the location is also very good, even though there´s really no central place to stay in LA. The rooms are cosy and modern, and the beds were really comfy. ...report that the restaurant and bar were being refurbished so apart from no breakfast and bar, there wasn't even room service. Not good for the wary traveller. Someone is responsible for notifying us about this kind of thing on the Hotels.com website. LA is HUGE... and there's no real central place to stay, but this hotel was located on the cusp of Beverley Hills and right next to the Sky Bar etc, if you're looking to explore the celeb side of LA. We landed on Oscar Night and the Vanity Fair party was located a few doors down. Despite the road closures, we were still able to valet park the car, which […] was great. Parking was very reasonably priced overnight - but make sure you factor in tips too! We were allowed to leave our car unitl 3pm the following day, which was a great help. Our room itself was very quiet and comfortable - and I thought the decoration was very quirky! The only thing that was frustrating was the lack of free WiFi - in a city like this you need it and paying for it is annoying! Also there were cute rubber ducks in the bathoom - that actually cost money - it would be a nice touch th give these as a complimentary reminder of the Grafton! The hotel offer a great complimentary shuttle service, however, to locations within a 3 mile radius, which is great if you don't want to tackle the crazy LA roads and traffic. I booked the Grafton online, expecting that it would be a cute boutique hotel, trendy, LA, but tasteful. Instead, the lobby smelled of coconut oil, really tacky boob and skirt shots hung in the rooms, and the lobby was worse. The bathroom was not very clean, with film in the tub, and dirt trapped on the bath tub matt. Dingy. The clientele as well was […] noticeably tacky, Euro trash bands, trying to make it in Hollywood, drinking jack by the pool. Right next door is the Mondrian, and across the street a beautiful Hyatt, so this was really too bad, especially because it was a business trip, with a client in tow. I stayed at this hotel last week and id gladly stay there again. Sunset Blvd can be very rough at night, especially for a woman travelling alone,but i felt completely safe in the grafton and felt safe walking out at night and day time in the surrounding area, which is incidently convenient to the bars and shops ,restaurants and nightlife of Sunset Blvd […] and the entire West Hollywood and Beverly Hills areas in general. The staff were completely charming,friendly and helpful and the room was adorable- it was cosy and modern yet not over-priced. especially loved the little detail with the bath frog! the only down side is that the restaurants currently closed (february 2012.) this is the only reason why i dont give it full marks, but the restaurant also looks good quality and great value but until it reopens there are many good eateries within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. :) Læs mere

I expect parking rates to increase at the hotels I frequent since space in LA is limited, unfortunately, internet access is like a commodity and just expect that the electricity will work in room without have to pay extra.

This was my first time to stay at The Grafton and I wasnt sure what to expect. I found a great deal on Hotels.com and from the pics it looked cool and funky but I did worry about some of the reviews. The only crappy part is I called to request a check-out extension for just one extra hour but were told they cant do that but for every extra hour its a $25 charge. The only bad thing I would say is the VALET...they were horrible and brought us the wrong car the next day. Luckily we're honest and didnt upgrade our car for free. Everything else was chill. This isnt a 5 start hotel so dont expect 5 star treatment but for what it is, its surprisingly good. I'd stay there again especially for the location alone. Læs mere

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel - and I would definitely stay again. Friendly staff, great location, clean. Love it.

This was my first trip to LA and we quickly noticed that hotels were pricey, we decided to settle with this choice as it was at perfect location for the gay community, only problem I did not like would be the relative small room, I would have appreciated more space but other than that I would indeed recommend. This hotel.

First, let me say that in all my complaints, the hotel staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive. I really feel like they're a great staff stuck in the confines of a disgusting hotel. Second, I almost never write reviews, but this was BEYOND alarming and I feel like worth knowing, as I'd read that this hotel was all hip and cool and very nice, […] and the website supports that. I arrived late to check in, and the front of the hotel barely has any lights on, which was sort of creepy and unwelcoming. Went to my first room, laughed at the zebra duvet. Noticed that the door to the security box was missing, which then made me want to look around some more. Pulled back the sheets and they were covered in hairs. Disgusting. I called for new sheets, they decided to switch my room to another one, which was annoying, but ok, I probably felt better about it. Except that in the second room, I checked the pillows - more hair! It was midnight and I was in town for work and jetlagged, so turned down their offer to change rooms again that night, and stayed there one night. After the guy left, I found the toilet used, and used soap in the shower. The next day they switched me to an upgraded room and promised to "VIP" the room, which apparently means to adequately clean it. I don't have any complaints for the third room, but I have to say, they're in a tough spot once I don't believe their cleaning service is effective or adequate. And for a two night stay, moving three times is pretty bad. Cleanliness aside, the furniture is all beat up (in all three of my rooms), the bathrooms could use some repair....it sort of felt like I missed some sort of rager the night before. All in all, I would absolutely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. And I definitely consider the only 3-star level point about it, the location. Was very disapointed as when I got to the hotel to do the check in and was told that the hotel was all booked and therefore couldn't give me the 2 queen bed room that I Had made the reservation for. There was no apologies whatsoever and instead of taking charge for their own mistake and try to make it up to me somehow, they could only say that it was […] expedia's website fault, when I didn't even book my reservation through Expedia. As a fairly frequent traveler to Los Angeles and West Hollywood for music, I've stayed at numerous hotels. Thus far, my favorite has to be the Grafton on Sunset Blvd. With an incredibly convenient location to the House of Blues, it puts you right in the heart of the Sunset Strips great music attractions. The hotel clerks were all incredibly friendly […] and helpful, demonstrating awesome customer service in the face of numerous exhausted guests waiting to check in. The only complaint was from the second room we booked, which, according to my brother, had thin walls. We didn't experience that in our room, so I'd take his complaint with a grain of salt. All in all - loved the decor, the location and the staff. Will definitely keep it in my 'must stay' hotels for Los Angeles. Læs mere

We probably should have stayed in a chain hotel, but this one appeared to be a similar price for a much nicer hotel. It was only nicer in that they had modern decor. It was safe and the staff was fine - just not worth the extra $50 to be somewhere that looked cool. Issues: - Price: they do not mention that parking is an extra $30 a day on top of the […] daily rate. There is no complimentary coffee or the usual below-continental commodities. Only high-price silly snacks (a $70 oxygen thing) are available in room. - Cleanliness: there was urine/paper in our toilet when we got there. There were lots of hairs in our bed that I had to remove with a tissue. Our towels and washcloths looked unclean or at least stained. I was shocked to see that ashtrays were in the two rooms that we had. Rooms had a stale smell and smelled of smoke. Hotel advertises room service but none was available as the restaurant was closed until after the first of the year. They only give you one washcloth even if there are two people in the room. I would recommwend this Hotel to anyone, Great room size and great bathroom. The only thing make sure you don't get a room next to the stairs, very noisey.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Hotel located about 2.2 mi from the stars and walk of fame. Neighborhood is busy so when we walked we felt safe. Streets are busy in front so a little traffic trying to get in and out of hotel. We stayed in room 316 which was right next to the stairwell and was VERY loud! You could hear people walking up and […] down all night long. The room was clean, hallway smelled musty. Bed was comfy but no turn down service in our room. Check the fridge before and make sure all drinks are there. We didn't drink anything out of the fridge. The menu check list said there was a diet coke missing, but was in the fridge and said on the menu that there was beer in the fridge but there was not. luckily we were not charged for this. they do let you have a courtesy late check out, and if they do they charge $28/hr after 12pm. This is ridiculous. other than that the stay was great, and the friendly staff that greeted us were amazing.

This hotel seems to have better days. The rooms were dark, dank, and unkempt. There is no reason to keep a desk with splits in the particle board. I also couldn't take a bath because there was so much rust in the tub. The obnoxious colored paint was peeling. The room just felt old and uncared for, as if the silly giant mural of a woman stripping off […] her undergarments could add the level of "young," "trendy," and "sexy" that this hotel strives for. I'm young, was here for work and have stayed in numerous hotels in "WeHo", and I still could not get a good night sleep. And I'm a heavy sleeper. I was on the first floor, and smoke from people by the pool got sucked into my airconditioning unit, and I had to keep the shades drawn the whole time. It was like a stinky cave. I was also woken up on separate occasions because this drunk woman was violently screaming at 2:30am. On my last day, I woke up to the sound of dripping on the carpet. It was 6:30am. I called the Front Desk right away and it turns out they were doing "repairs" on the bathtub upstairs. At 6:30am?! I couldn't fall back asleep because the maintenance guys were snaking the drain and doing actual repairs for the next few hours. When I explained this unpleasant situation to the front desk attendant when I checked out a few hours later, she sucked her teeth and shrugged "sorry" and presented the bill. When I booked my room I didn't know there was a free shuttle service and when I checked in, no one told me. I didn't find out until the day before I left and when I found out about it-it was really frustrating. The driver was unpredictable and you would never know when he was available. We had a perfect time. The hotel is beautiful, clean and quiet, and right in the middle of exciting Sunset Blvd and WeHo nightlife. A couple of blocks from Santa Monica Blvd (albeit up a killer hill!) . The hotel is very nicely decorated, with a chic, modern look focused on Hollywood.

Good room, but parking is $30. No internet no breakfast. They gonna charge you everything, even water in your room.

Great location! No frills hotel, but it is so close to everything

The hotel was described as 'boutique' - unfortunately it is too plastic and shabby to be described as this. The bed sheets and covers were revolting and the rooms were grubby and need updating. It is in an excellent location but parking is very difficult and the hotel charges a great deal per night to valet park.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable

This hotel is reasonably priced for the location. Its decor is also modern and hip the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

my reservation came via Hotels.com and that was reflected in the room I received. I got the basement room right underneath the band playing in the bar above and my view was a concrete wall. I would hesitate to book at this hotel again.
