Crowne Plaza Virginia Beach Town Center - Virginia Beach

The hotel was old, dirty, and being renovated, so there was a lot of noise at times. Hotel was on the freeway, and the rooms on the freeway side were very noisy. Neighborhood was sketchy. Beds were comfortable and staff was great.

This has got to be the best kept secret in Virginia Beach. The staff are friendly and just great. The food in the resturant was wonderful. We will stay there again.

Terrible. The first room I stepped into the heater was rattling so badly I returned to the front desk for a new room. The second room I went into smelled like a brothel. House keeping had sprayed so much perfume into the room my eyes nearly watered. I walked into the third room I was given only to discover house keeping had left the heat on, so the […] room was boiling. It was so hot I turned off the heat for the rest of the night. The first night of our stay was terrible because we could not get ANY sleep. A local radio station had an event, and the party was extended on to the hotel room floors. We complained to the front desk, however it did not do much good. The following night was a lot quieter. In the dead of winter, all we wanted was a hotel with hot tub. Easy. This hotel seemed perfect because they boasted a hot tub AND sauna on their website. So, we booked and headed for the warmth! Then... we arrived... 1/4 mile AWAY from Town Center (not walking distance in 30 deg weather!) to a broken down (closed) hot tub and separate saunas for women […] and men. My husband and I were beyond bummed, as we didn't want to spend our "night away" in separate saunas. When we mentioned this to the girl at the front (which we had to because she saw us walk into the pool area and immediately walk out), she was unapologetic and rude to say the least. She acted like I was a spoiled snob asking for the world handed to me on a platter. We asked for other area hotels with the proper facilities and of course, she had no idea. So, we were forced to order shrimp (the ONLY thing not fried) and mojitos from the bar and sit in our room. Much like we would have done for way less money at home. I will say that the shrimp and mojitos were tasty; however, we will not return to this hotel or its subsidiaries for business or pleasure. If the employee had offered to upgrade our room, provide a dinner, provide complimentary vouchers for local restaurant/ cab, we would have been a repeat customer and forgiven the misrepresentation/ advertising mistake. The only bad thing was the hot tub was not working. They are updating hotel and when done it should really be nice. Was well worth what I paid.

Strong odor in hotel common areas. Renovation was causing lobby, restaurant and common areas to be almost unheated. Windows were very dirty. Mattress was uncomfortable. Road noise was pretty bad.

The front desk personnel were very professional and courteous in handling a minor mix up witch occurred in our the room assignments. All seven members of my party (3 separate rooms) enjoy their stay at this hotel. I would book here again.

This is a slightly dated hotel that looks like it is currently undergoing renovations. Peeling paint and clear signs of roof damage were unsightly. Wires running about the doors didn't thrill me, nor did the smell of fresh paint near the banquet rooms. I do not know how long these improvements will take but when it is done it should be great. My wife and I had made a great escape from the kids for our 10 yr anniversary. We were pleased with our hotel stay and really want to thank Brendan for helping out. He upgraded our room and helped me out with a dry cleaning issue. Over all a good time was had.

Incredibly pleasant staff, a nice indoor pool, free shuttle to local Town Center (great restaurants in area), absolutely excellent Sunday breakfast buffet for $10. Well worth the price. Would definitely stay there again. Hotel is a solid 3 star hotel, with some room renovation would be a 4 star.

We had a great overnight stay at the Crowne Plaza. Friendly staff and spacious, clean, comfortable room at a great rate! Breakfast room service took about 45 minutes, but it was worth the wait. We'll be back!

I booked this hotel blindly, using the Expedia deep discount feature that hides the name of the hotel. First and last time I'm ever doing that. I booked adjoining rooms for a two night stay. The furniture in one room was literally falling apart. The TV in the other room initially didn’t work. When my husband looked at the back of the TV, the cable plate […] was an inch or two off the wall. Wall paper was pealing, toilet was not cleaned, refrigerator was leaking and my husband discovered a dirty sock on the floor. This hotel is in dire need of a renovation and a scrub down. Housekeeping cleaned one room when everyone was in the other room but never returned to clean the second room. On the second night, we got a random call while we were sleeping asking us if we were the room that ordered room service. certainly not like staying at the Ritz or Four Seasons, but I made do, and staying on the 8th floor kept me away from the scary looking people with mullet hairdos ... and provided good views too.

Clean rooms, good value for the price. Bathrooms are a bit small, but room in general is spacious. Beds are comfortable, AC works, wifi was free and worked well. Fitness center is not huge but had what I needed. Good location. Decor is a bit dated, but hotel is well maintained and clean. Would stay here again.

The only issue I had with the hotel was the bartender. I placed an order for two drinks, received half of my order then she served 12 others while I was still waiting. I left without my order being complete and paid full price....no appology.....nothing. The hotel service and cleanliness was wonderful.

We stayed at this hotel the night before our cruise. The service and room was wonderful. The only issue we had, was we ordered Oyster Rockefeller off the menu, and a few minutes later, the kitchen called back and said they didn't have anymore...

Centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Easy to get in and out of and plenty of parking. The staff was very helpful. Nice rooms and very clean. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Overall, nice hotel in convenient location. However, there were several families staying on our floor who, unfortunately, were using the hotel as if they were at home. Kids were running up and down the hallway most of the evening, and we had to call down to the front desk twice to ask them to address the issue. Found the the hotel surprisingly better than expected. Staff was very friendly and eager to please. Room more than adequate. Was told the hotel was due to undergo complete renovation, but thought minor maintenance would have been sufficient. Very satisfied.

This is an average motel with good employee's. It is not close to the beach and if you look, you can find beach front at the same or less price. If you are going for the beach, this is not your place to stay. WiFi worked good. No breakfast unless you wanted to go to their restaurant.

When I first arrived at the hotel there wasn't anyone to greet me at the front desk. I had to wait about 30 secs which may not seem long however; I've never experienced this. Next, the phone in my room did not work. The maintenance guy came and he fixed it but it stopped working again. I had to call the front desk from my sisters room because I could […] not get in my room. I thought the key card had not been activated. Well it was. I was told to pull up on the door handle instead of down. They said "I meant to tell you that". Lastly I went to the service desk again and there was no one at the front desk. "Jordan" said she was on the phone (I could hear and she was not). From what I could tell she was eating. There should always be a representative at the front desk. Always!
