Fint hotel, ligger 5min gang fra havnefronten, så det er ubeklageligt. Poolen var lidt ulækker og forvent ikke noget vildt morgenmad.

The room was very cute. The bed wasn't comfortable. I booked the room through an agency, but when I tried to call no one answered, twice. Then when we arrived the front desk employee wasn't in there and we had to wait for ten minutes to check in though no one was around. We were very unhappy with the condition of the property. We moved rooms twice- once for mold growing through the paint....once because our room was being overcome by smokers on both sides. I spoke with a local police officer...this hotel rents rooms to junkies and homeless people for low weekly rates during the off-season, overall I would never stay […] there again.....pay ten dollars more a night somewhere else. Rooms are always clean and i always enjoy my stay!

Right at the end of downtown, it's a short walk to the beach, the boardwalk and the warf! Great location!

Breakfast is banana bread and juice. Rooms are small. Our bathroom door wouldn't close and curtain rod was loose and hanging. Other than that, the location is great!

Close to beach, clean. Wood floors were a nice surprise. Comfortable and affordable.

The room was clean and comfortable enough..kind of old and basic. The worst part was they are doing some kind of patio construction so the lobby/office was relocated to one of the guest rooms. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best..coffee was horrible..but it was cheap and within 5-8 minute walk to the boardwalk which was the biggest selling […] point. Well, the location is GREAT! About a 5 minute walk to the pier and 8 mins to the boardwalk. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and let me keep my car there after check out to save a couple bucks from parking. The rooms were small, with hardwood floors, and didnt look all that great. Not too bad though. It has a typical motel look on the outside. […] The funny part was that the bathroom was pretty nice with a nice tile shower and clean sink. This hotel was not very big, but it has comfortable and the showers were very nice. I looked at lots of places and finally decided on this one because of the price. I am glad I did because it was pleasant and very nice for how much the room was.

Offers good value, close to both the beach / boardwalk and the city centre. Some building work was going on when I stayed but since most people are out during the day, it was ok

Party in the parking lot half the night, water was shut off, won't return my calls or email for a refund.

Didn't get any sleep people fighting and partying outside. Went their for a day trip it was the worst time I ever had in my entire life. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

20 years old carpet smells inside the room. I tell you what? if you stay more than two days, you will be suffered from asthma. Never seen third class bathroom in my life time. Worst experience

When checking in, I asked to see the room first...thank God I did. The room they planned to give me was VERY smelly! We booked this hotel on-line . I did not read the reviews until after the booking was completed. The only good thing about this 2 star hotel- more 1.5 in my opinion- is location. We pulled in on a Saturday night, the hotel staff was really friendly. However, our neighbors were really loud- laughing and cussing until the early hours. Plus they smoked. […] I stuffed my ears with bunched up toilet paper and managed to catch a few hours of sleep. I chose this hotel primarily because of the location and price. However, I was thorough impressed with how nice it was. The location of hotel to downtown and beach was amazing. All within walking distance. The font lady was incrediblly nice. I love my stay, its where I will be staying everytime I visit Santa Cruz.

When we checked in good customer service. We didn't go straight to our room but when we did go they only gave us a single bed for four people and I had reserved for 2 bed. Call in after hours and the manager was really nice and they gave us a room with 2 beds. Very nice room. I Would recommend it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. What is nice about the Bay Front is that it is walking distance to the boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz which was great. The parking lot was well lite so we felt safe when walked back to are room at night. This is the place to stay for your weekend getaway.

Got up the next morning & went for the breakfast and they weren't open. Many people staying there were quite mad that the office never opened till at least after 9:30 a.m. People started going in at 7:00 a.m. till I had to leave at 9:30a.m. I needed directions & a receipt, but never got one. Overall the room was clean and the front desk person Brad was nice and helpful, except the sheets had stains which made me realize this is not where I would stay again.

This is in a good location, good rates, great front desk people but the walls and doorjamb looks like it has been through some wars. Also, having the smoking bench outside our room was a bummer for late night smokers.

I would not recommend going to this motel, especially if you have a family. Though the front desk staff was cordial, the room was poorly maintained and not very clean. The blankets were very old, the mini fridge froze all our food solid, the bathroom door got stuck leaving the person inside asking for help, and there was a seedy vibe from several other […] guests who seemed to drink and smoke excessively. This place is in dire need of quality renovations. They were in the middle of renovating some rooms, which started at 8:00 sharp. I would think for the sake of guest comfort they would wait until 10:00. Hopefully they do a good job and the quality changes. It's only redeeming factor right now is location, but there are several other places to stay in the immediate area that are many times better at pretty much the same rate. At the time of writing this, it has a 3.4. We ended up leaving the second evening of four we had booked and having to pay for it but we didn't care. We didn't want to stay there another night. Spent 5 nights here visiting local friends. Great location for beach and town. Hotel room was shabby in general, but the beds themselves were good. No clock in the room. Big broken tile in the bathroom and dirt around grout and walls. Curtains were rather worn and mis-hung. However, it appeared other rooms were being renovated, and ours may have been […] next. 8-10 am Continental breakfast was ok; however, one morning all food was gone by 9:30am with no one replenishing anything. Overall this place is "decent". They got my resevation mixed up but promptly corrected it which was a plus. Front desk (staff) was helpful. Once I was finally in my room it was kinda dirty, meaning dust and cobwebs on walls and corners. Seemed to be lots of loose cables lying around for tv (sat dish), fridge, microwave and alarm clock. A last minute stop at a very cute place. The room was remodeled, comfy, and cozy. There were more than enough towels (I usually have to call for more), and the room was clean and nicely updated. Our neighbors were a little loud, but the bed was comfy enough to put us right to sleep. Very small complimentary breakfast (muffins, crossiants, coffee, and […] juice), but the staff are friendly and helpful. It is also pet friendly! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but neither do the rest of the motels right there on the beach (weathered and older). We enjoyed our time in Santa Cruz downtown and for one night stay this hotel was great for us.

Family owned hotel, just been renovated, rooms are nice. Walking distance to the pier and boardwalk area. Allows dogs and there is a dog beach not far away. I highly recommended this hotel, I've stayed probably 10 times in the three years. Only place in SC that I use.

We stayed for one night. The TV sound didn't work in the first room, but the desk clerk willingly gave us keys for new rooms until we found one where the TV worked. First room had carpets and was slightly bigger, but the room we took had clean hardwood floors and was "cozy" enough. We were able to bring our dog and keep him in the room with us. Comfortable and clean. Some amenities need updating. Large flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator. Heating not thermostat controled which leads to frequent manual adjustments. Overall, a very nice motel for the cost.

Only liked the staff . Everything about this hotel room Was discusting, The Room smelled like Bleach , the bathroom door did not close/lock . out side the hotelroom was gross .

so i know this is a 2 star hotel but i went based on reviews i read. such a mistake. im not sure where to start. ok how bout with the good... the location is key if your a westside fan. i used to live ON westcliff and wanted to be close to the beach and downtown for my visit. however, i cannot afford the crazy prices at all of the westcliff hotels […] and b&bs. which takes us to the Ol' Bay. first thing i noticed the towels were dirty. seriously dirty. dirt and hairs. almost like they had been dropped in a dirty bathroom then hung up in mine. awesome. second the floor was rotting in the bathroom because the tiny (tiny) dark shower had lost its seal on the door. also awesome. third the comforters were heavily stained. yum. forth there was a large -giant really- creature staying in the room with me. three inches long to about a half inch wide. not one person i was with including front desk guy could even try to name what type of bug this was. beyond awesome. did i mention the smell yet? future reference: stay at the ocean pacific lodge right next door. ive stayed there before and regret not doing so this time. its a couple bucks more but well worth it. not fancy but definately clean and nicer. The location is great! The beds are comfortable, and you get breakfeast (muffins, coffe/tee) in the morning. The room is a bit old, the fan is noise. Need a cheap, ok plase to sleep, this is it. You want to stay in your room all day, find another plase.
