Everything went well. The hot breakfast was adequate & the coffee good. The afternoon Manager's Reception with hors d'oeuvres and wine (or mixed drinks) was a pleasure. A short walk to the Metro on 18th St. and the restaurants on 23rd St.

We have tried other hotels in the arlington area. And while they were fine the Embassy Suites surpassed them all. The room was amazing. Loved the one bedroom apartment feel. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. The only issue I may have had was that our room faced the highway thus hearing the traffic. we have stayed in a few Embassy be for and have always enjoyed them. i found the service in the food court was not up to par. they make us feel like we were in the way and very pushy. but will stay in the Embassy again

Neither the hotel nor Hotels.com disclosed that this place charges $25 a day for parking and $12.95 per day for internet access + they do not have free wifi in the lobby/common areas. Front desk stafs basically said 'tough' and to complain to Hotels.com, as if they were not responsible for their own fees/policies. Very disappointing.

We bring a small Senior class to Washington DC every year and this hotel was the best one by far that we have stayed. It was very close to the Metro, had a great breakfast and the rooms had plenty of room. It was the most expensive hotel we have ever stayed, but I feel it was worth the price

I had an amazing time. The hotel is close to all the tourist spots. The hotel has free shuttle service to and from the hotel and to the metro station. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of bed. The free breakfast was amazing!

Once again, a great place to stay while touring DC with the kids. The breakfast got us started and the evening reception helped us all wind down. Close enough to metro to walk to so didn't use the shuttle. Only problem this time was the pool-WAY too much chlorine. Kids were complaining about their eyes for hours!

Good location for National Airport, but very pricey. Hotel very nicely maintained. A bit of road noise.The 'Manager's Reception' features plenty of drinks, and some food, but not really dinner. I enjoyed the breakfast and the room was nice but the mold smell in the bathroom was annoying and the vent in the bedroom had black dust on it both of which kept me from giving a 5 star rating. The staff is great!

We traveled to DC with our two school aged kids and this was a perfect hotel. Very popular with groups of middle schoolers and families so not great of you're looking for a quiet romantic getaway...but perfect for us. Affordable, five minute walk to the metro (or take a shuttle if you time it right). Great housekeeping staff. Nearby highway was noisy but earplugs helped. Shuttle service to the metro was great. Convenient to dc and all the sights. We were there for spring break and the hotel was quite full but they kept in front of the crowds at the breakfast buffet. What a nice hotel. The breakfast and afternoon snack was great. Very convenient to DC. The rooms are suites with living room and bedroom. Rather large rooms for a city hotel. Overall, pleasantly surprised it exceeded my modest expectations handily.

I have stayed in other Embassy Suites hotels in DC that were much better. The food was not good. There was no in-room safe. There was no concierge, just a taxi phone available for guest's use and some pamphlets about local attractions. An impromptu trip for a single day to DC meant I wanted something with parking for the car so I could train around town. Crystal City had both. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the nicest Embassy Suites room I've ever seen. I thought the staff were very friendly, with an exception to one of the female pool staff. Perfect place for the kids though. We had an incident were our youngest got sick in the car, the front desk went out of their way to help, and within minutes helped me make an appointment for cleaning. They also recommended touring, although the touring company […] turned out to be a disaster! The downed elevator was a bit annoying. We read in a review that there was a cockroach in one of the rooms, and it was too bad that we also saw a quarter sized one in the breakfast area! We quickly told the kids it was a beetle. This hotel is equipped with a underground self parking garage. Good customer service, breakfast was good...great omelet station, great selection of hot food available like bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage, oatmeal and potatoes. The only issue I had was that the front desk informed me that the bar stayed opened until 11:30pm however the bar was closing […] at 11pm when I arrived. Definitely mixed communication was an issue as one department thought the other department had the wrong information. This hotel does ask you to sign a waiver that you will refrain from any loud noises or hold parties in their guest rooms. I guess this is a new thing! Læs mere

the Dtaff was exceptionally helpful and offer to shuttle me and other guest to many places around the hotel, as the weather was very cold. The Breakfast was awesome and the light snacks and drinks in the ecening were a very nice touch.

Nice hotel in a nice area. Breakfast & Happy hours were very nice features. Rooms are spacious and comfortable suites. Also had a nice pool. Elevators were undergoing maintenance and caused some delays.

1. Customer service sucks. asked for shuttle they said it is in walking distance and I should walk 15 min in winter cold weather to get there! 2. the scheduled shuttle from pentagon city station is never on time. 3. I got STOMACH FLU from their BREAKFAST BUFFET.

When all hotels in DC are over $250 during the week of the National Prayer Breakfast, it's so nice to have an affordable hotel near the Metro with complimentary breakfasts and DCA shuttles. Will definitely stay here again.

Took a Group of 11 year olds on a tour to the Washington Monument in DC (the weekend of 2/8/13.) The Staff was very patient and understanding with the Girls. Especially the life guard on duty at the Indoor Pool The Embassy Suites experience at 1300 Jefferson Davis Drive, Crystal City was Awesome! Thanks to the Staff!

We have 3 small children, so Embassy Suites are a favorite for our travel lodging. We selected this location (rather than the renovated site in Old Town) because of the very very reasonable cost. Much of this Embassy Suites was true to standards - tasty breakfast, nice pool, standard rooms. The carpets and room furniture were bit dated however (ie: […] some stains and rips which probably deserve closer attention), but the staff were stellar and professional. Since our stay included the New Years holiday, we expected a larger volume of people. I was somewhat surprised that the hotel seemed unprepared for this however (ie: they ran out of plates and silverware multiple times every single morning of our stay. After the first morning, I am wondering why they didn't just provide some backup paperware or other such options). Overall very satisfactory however. Læs mere

My wife and I stayed overnight at this hotel and were pleased with most everything. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in a little early (this was good considering that we arrived a few hours earlier than expected and had bulky luggage in hand). When we arrived at our room, we quickly deduced that only one out […] of the two keys they had given us worked. It was not a big deal in our case. The room itself was clean and comfortable, aside from the garbage, which had not been emptied from the previous tenant and the mirror being marred with plenty of toothpaste spray. The sink was cracked but didn't seem to leak. The rest of the suite was clean and comfortable, and the nearby highway didn't produce enough noise to bug us on the seventh floor. A deposit was taken for incidentals and has not yet been returned despite the room being left in good condition. Overall it was a comfortable stay and we found the complimentary airport shuttle very convenient. There were a couple things that bugged us, but it was still a nice overnight stay. Læs mere

short trip to the metro and they have shuttles to get you there if you don't want to walk. Free drinks for manager's happy hour were great and the breakfast will really fill you up to start your day. Hotel was clean and rooms were very nice.

Have previously stayed at this hotel. The quality of the breakfast has really gone down. The coffee was extremely bitter. The manager reported changes were made to the brand of breakfast items to include coffee. To save money the hotel's quality has gone down. My family always counts on a great cup of coffee, no longer at the Embassy.
