Dette hotel har fine store værelser. Vi boede 4 personer i et, og det gik fint, selv om vi ikke er vant til at bo så tæt. Vi havde bestitl ekstra store senge. Værelset var rent og pænt. Jeg havde valgt dette hotel fordi de havde pool, men den var en stor skuffelse. Billedet snyder simpelthen, så skulle jeg vælge om ville jeg vælge Hilton, som ligger […] lige ved siden af, og indeholder op til flere pools. Den ene gang det lykkedes os at komme i poolen kom der en familie med små børn og indefor 5 min havde de fået skræmt alle væk. Der var ingen opsyn med poolen, så børnene indtog den. Det var umuligt at ligge og slappe af her, og så døde hele meningen med netop dette hotelvalg. Hotellet er bygget op i flere afdelinger, så man går meget for at komme til henholdvis lobby/garage. Vi mødte mange som spurgte om vej, ikke fordi det er stort, men meget kroget. Så man mister lidt orieteringen. Grunden til at jeg ikke ville vælge dette hotel igen er, ud over poolen, at jeg ikke synes, at det er det rigtige sted at bo, placeringsmæssigt. Jeg vil helt klart vælge at bo tættere på vandet/broen, da det var den del af byen, som tiltalte os alle mest. Downtown området er beskidt og larmende, og tager man ikke bussen rundt, kan man meget let gå glib af forskelligheder i San Fransico. Læs mere

Vores kufferter ankom først nogle dage efter os, og hotelpersonalet var meget hjælpsomme med at kontakte United Airlines for at høre status på leveringen/få dem leveret. Hotellet var rent og pænt og meget centralt beliggende.

Udmærket hotel, hvor alt fungerede. Lidt dyrt at parkere, men hurtig ekspedition, når vi skulle bruge den. Den centrale beliggenhed giver gode muligheder for at komme rundt med bus, sporvogn eller tog. Eller man kan vælge at gå, som vi gjorde.

A very nice and very well situated hotel with a good atmosphere. Good little pool and a very friendly staff. BUT the icemaschine as well as others ventilators has a tendency to be noisy during the night.

Super beliggenhed. Værelset var meget småt og lå indeklemt i en nische mod gården uden egentlig udsyn.

Stayed here for one night while passing through the city. Location was great, room very comfortable.

The bed is the most important thing for me and it was wonderful. There was no water and nowhere to buy it in the hotel. the fellow at the front desk, said that the bell hop would know where to bring my luggage as I was going to wait for him in the lobby, after about 15 min I called and they did not know where to find me. The room was facing a wall. Everything look old, but clean. The front-desk and room service are friendly. Windows are old and don't keep the street noise out. Location is great, but there is no free internet in the rooms and even in the business center downstairs.

Excellent in every way, highly recommended.

Great place to stay near Union Square and BART. Would be even better if WiFi free to all.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again. A very comfortable bed, perfect location and friendly staff. Close to Sears Fine Food for a breakfast to remember. Only remark I have was a too noisy aircon in the room.

I stay in San Fran. several times a year usally in this general location. 1st time at Handlery. Hotel parking is always a big issue in hotels in this area. Parking arrangements were good at Handlery. Hotel accomdiations were also above avg. for the mid priced hotels in the area.

It was a good hotel with an excellent location. The concierge wasn't available the first day I stayed there so I couldn't ask about a place to get a massage, but the following day he was very helpful with other things. The heated pool was heated, but not heated enough to combat Northern California chill. A quick dip was refreshing but more than that […] would be flirting with pneumonia. I was surprised by the lack of services offered by the hotel. I arrived late and there was no room service available. I was directed to the vending machines, which were empty. Surprisingly noisy with very thin walls and old windows.

Very close to Union Square. Rooms lovely clean and comfortable. Alittle on the small side, but your not spending loads of time there anyway. Staff very freindly, never used pool but looked lovely. Only downside was no free wifi. But you could purchase a card at reception, $5 for 20 mins of use. There is a computer room to use but i think you could use […] the code for a laptop. Hotel is very central within walking distance to most shops and westfield shopping centre. Bus across from hotel takes you to fishermans warf and other local attractions. Really enjoyed stay concierge is very helpful with any questions you need answered so ask it saves wasting any time. Would stay again and recommend to anyone. A+++++++ Læs mere

In my opinion, this hotel does not live up to either the star or customer review ratings. It's a very old-school hotel that is on the verge of being overly dated and run down. The room was tiny, the furniture was nicked up, there was no artwork on the walls, windows and bathroom were old. The staff was very accommodating of my wife and I and our little 14-month old. They upgraded our room upon request and also gave us a crib. The location in the heart of Union Square couldn't have been better. Awesome! Would definitely stay here again!

we like to come up to the city to see concerts and have selected the Handerley several times. We enjoy the accomodations, the service and the location.

Windows should have dark curtains. Street lights shone thru blinds. Too noisy. Over busy street with deliveries made by big noisy trucks during the night. Sleep was interrupted much during the night and hard to fall asleep with bright lights coming thru windows. We have stayed at this Handlery location twice before with a larger nicer room(same price) […] and had quiet with no light bothering us. It is right in the middle of union square. Though the pillows were a bit lumpy the staff was wonderful and the room was clean. The best part was the restaurant I had made reservations for was right across the street.

A little pricy but very convenient. The rooms in the back are very quiet. The rooms are roomy and the people working there are generally very nice. However,there are some homeless people in the neighborhood that ask for a handout.

Great location and the room was very clean. I would have no problem staying here again.

Hotel had all of the necessary comforts, good service, and is in the middle of the shopping district. Museums, cable cars, BART and the Embarcadero are all walkable. Stay here, leave the car in the garage.

Clean nice hotel. Just in front of big street so bit noisy in night time. But truly nice. I'd like to stay in here when I visit to SF.

I stayed in the Handlery for 5 nights. The location was excellent. I requested a quiet room as I had read reviews that said some areas of the hotel can be noisy at night, understandable, given its prime location. We had a room facing the back of the hotel and it was very peaceful. The staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was a bother to them. I […] found my room a little cold on one of the nights, called reception and they dropped up a heater in a few minutes. The room was spotless, cleaning staff were excellent. The bathroom was a little on the small but I don't think you really need a giant bathroom when in San Fran! The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep every night. Everything about the hotel was amazing .. EXCEPT the $100+ parking charge they tacked on once we got there.

The service at this hotel was terrific and reason enough to stay there again. We were greeted by smiles the second we entered the door. Everyone was helpful. Their recommendations for dinner in the city were spot on. This hotel was so central for us. Great food and shopping right out the door! You can get to the cable car line in less than a 5 minute […] walk. We like to walk so we walked (it's a work out!) to Fisherman's Wharf, to good Italian dining in North Beach, and to China Town. The room was reasonably priced for being in such a convenient location. We had two queen beds, a small refrigerator, free wi-fi in the Premier section of the hotel. It is a bit of a walk to your room in the Premier section initially. However, after check in, you can come in the back door where there is an elevator that will take you right to your floor. We were next to the elevator, so a bit noisy, but not enough to ask for another room. At check-in, we were given a choice of rooms and told that if we were not happy with our first choice, they would be happy to move us. The room was very clean although the grout lines in the shower could use some bleach! All in all, we would stay here again without hesitation. Læs mere

This is an historic hotel so I wasn't expecting lavish huge rooms. Overall the size was small but ok. I didn't use any services other than the wireless Internet and that worked fine. Great location just off of Union Square. Can't beat that and the price.

Overall I was happy with the hotel and would stay there again, however the pictures on hotel.com are not at all accurate of what you get! The booking said, 400 sq.foot room with a view. They first tried to put us in a tiny room overlooking an alley. We immediately had them move us to a nicer room that overlooked the street and was much brighter. Request […] city view or a balcony overlooking the pool. Bathrooms are small but beds are pretty comfy. The concierge is hardly ever there and doesn't not appear to like his job much. But he did warm up to us after a few conversations. Fantastic location and the Daily Grill Restaurant has delicious but expensive food. Go for happy hour 3-7! Considering SF prices and old buildings, this was probably a pretty good value. Just more "European" than I'm used to for cost, compared to say Chicago. Læs mere
