The staff at this hotel really knows what service is all about. Besides the bed and linnen was very comfortable, a delicioius breakfast and with running routes really close by not to mention the location in general. I had a wonderful stay at Fairfield and will definetely recommend.

"booked 3 nites only survived one"
absolutley disgusting, beds not comfortable, rooms dirty, unsafe , will never book a days inn again.

"Only one way to improve this hotel"
The only way to improve this hotel is with a wrecking ball, a dump truck and some landfill space. The wall paper was peeling off in our room. The floor was not clean. Storage room doors in the hallway were falling off their hinges. The clerks didn't do a thing to help with anything both when we checked in and during the poor breakfast the next morning.. "DIRTY"
staff was nice but will not go back. decor needs to be updated not just for looks but for quality. room left me with a dirty feeling. back ledge of the bathroom sink had a layer of dust and also found hair on the sink.
"What can I say?"
The first warning was seeing one of the master locks missing from the front door main enterance. Second warning was the vending machines behind the front desk. When I checked into my room there were stains on the walls. Above the windowes. In the bathroom there were left over shavings behind the facets on the sink in the bathroom. Which tells me the […] don't clean them very often! When, I went for the free breakfast, in the morning. I observed dirty tables. At that point I was too scared to use the pool! Not to metion I diden't sleep well fearing for vehicle I was renting might not be there in the morning! If it weren't the fact that I was locked in(nonrefundable). I would have gone some were else. "Days Inn - Craig St"
This was just ok. The room was large but older and needed maintenance and renovation. One of the queen beds did not have a fitted sheet and had a very large stain on the mattress.

"why pay more"
It is worth the extra money when I stayed in a better hotel and pay more for a better room. Only better hotels are not pet Friendly. That is poor.
"If you're in the area, this is a great value"
Taking into account the overall price we paid incl fees and taxes, this was a bargain for the king size bed and pull out sofa in the large room. Bath tub was also a large, deep oval and clean. Mini-fridge was quite large. Bed was comfortable and clean. Facilities were quiet. Front desk staff at check-in and out were very friendly and quick. Large convenience […] store behind desk is excellent. They need to clean (more likely, replace) the carpets in the common area and 2nd fl hallway. Breakfast was scant but enough to get us going. Honestly, we were shocked at how nice, bright and clean the room and large lobby were. Great for 1 night that we needed but I'd come back even if I had a longer stay. Free Wi-fi worked well also. "Great hotel!!"
Great place to stay! The room/hotel was clean, albeit slightly outdated. For us, it was a place to sleep and eat a free breakfast, so the lack of a flat screen tv was fine by us! It was pet friendly which was also a great perk! Friendly staff and in a decent neighborhood. If we are ever back in Indy I would absolutely stay there again.

"Nice enough!"
This hotel was close to many amenities, shopping and North side night life. I wouldn't stay there indefinitely, but it was clean enough for a hotel and the service was fine. It wasn't the best part of town, but definitely cheaper and better than staying downtown!

We stayed here while attending the MotoGP 2011 even at the speedway. We found our experience to be very good an will stay here for our future MotoGP trips as it's not far from the track. "Too noisy"
The hotel is big and clean, its a bit out of the city but not too bad if you have a car. They have no food service but there are lots of options within walking distance. I would recommend you stay at a nearby hotel because this one has lots of very loud functions that go til 2am, I mean they were so loud the walls shook and I couldn't hear the TV. "days in 82nd st in castleton, in"
the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The bathroom had dead bugs & the toilet looked to be 100 yrs old. had no remote (had to request 1). did like that I could bring my dog.
Hotel was clean and everything worked fine. For the price, it would be hard to beat. Property is a little worn and tired in some of the common areas, but overall was pleased with accommodations.

"It is clear why this hotel is cheap"
As you walk into the hallway of the rooms in the hotel, you are overcome with a disgusting odor though the whole hotel. The odor wasn't as strong in the rooms, but the rooms definitely didn't smell fresh and clean either. The customer service wasn't overly friendly. You really do get what you pay for with this hotel.
"Friendly service"
Hotel was conveniently located off highway. Pretty clean although bathroom fixtures and carpet need replacing. I was traveling with my dog and had no issues having her there. Desk was very nice and helpful. Had just picked up kids from camp and had some smelly laundry. Laundry facility on premises adequate.

"good cheap sleep in Indy"
Not luxurious... very nice staff... good if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep... room was better than outside led us to believe... Breakfast was not poor but as expected. Super convenient, easy in and out... safe area.
"INDY 500"
Hotel was very close to the highway and was near to many local businesses. Room was large and customer servive was excellent. Had two problems, door keys didn't work very well. Had to have them reset numerous times. Also room needed to have bathroom tile replaced.

"Good for the price."
Check in was very smooth. The desk clerk had my paperwork ready to go. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was little more than breads and danish some cereal. Juice, milk, and coffee. That was a bit of a let down went to Bob Evans for breakfast.
"Will Never Stay again ..."
This hotel had good Customer service, but their rooms where horrible. This doesn't even sum up the whole "you get what you pay for" story... when we got there, the hallway had trash on it, the room given to us smelled like mold. The carpet seemed as it hadn't been vaccummed, one of the beds was unmade and the other seemed like the sheets where just […] thrown on the bed. My wife wouldn't even let my lil girl crawl in that room. I asked to switch rooms. I got another room that it's apperance was better. but then, when we used the shower, we saw that their was a used band-aid stuck on the shower curtain, and after using the toilet, when flushed the water started coming out the bottom of the toilet. It was a sanitation problem for us. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to none of my friends, and to anyone who has a family. Læs mere
"Worked well for US"
I like the area, restaurants with in walking distance, staff always nice. Rooms cleaner and larger than most and it is pretty much a straight shot from and to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. It has become my regular hotel. Breakfast pretty good, cereal, pastries, bagels etc.
"The Days Inn - Rooms are quiet"
when we arrived to check in there was a kids party happening and it was very loud. The clerk made sure to put us far away from the party. I had my doubts that it would be quiet - but it was very quiet. Once we went down a couple of hallways you couldn't hear the kids anymore. "Days Inn Castleton"
Overall, it was a decent room. I was surprised to see how big it was and that we had a little fridge. The entire place, though, did have a very stale odor to it and the Wi-Fi connection was awful.

The hotel was not the cleanest hotel I've been in. The room was very large, but smelled like the carpet had been wet. Although it was a hot day, the air conditioning was off. I turned it on high, went and bought some air freshener candles, and it was not bad. The price via Hotels.com was certainly not bad.

"Outstanding hotel."
The second floor was closed for remodeling, but the 1st floor exceeded our expectations. Considering the price, we expected a clean, comfortable room. Our room had king bed and a hide-a-bed sofa -- great to relax while watching TV. The decor was lovely and the breakfast was ample -- rolls, cereal, fruit, beverages. "Decent room for the money"
The hotel had a fire some time back and was remodeling. The rooms aren't swanky, but neither is the price. The worst drawback is that the floors are pretty thin. You can hear the second-floor occupants walking and banging around pretty clearly. The lobby has a well-stocked convenience store.
"Disappointed"
Room needed major maintenance. Dresser was missing two out of six handles, wallpaper was peeling, and the bathroom had a lot of grime. Not up to standards for a Days Inn.
