Marten House Hotel - Indianapolis

Was hoping for a breakfast . Was not aware there was only a restaurant on the premises

I wasn't impressed with the overall hotel. It is in need of many repairs and updates. Our bathroom floor was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly and I found a ketchup packet left on the floor by the bed which makes me wonder what they vacumned. The ceilings had water stains and the hallways were very musty smelling.

The hotel was great!! The service was superb. The room was clean and we loved it. They have a beautiful pool area that we all loved. We will return to this hotel soon. I highly recommend it!!!

My stay at Marten House could not have been better. Located on the St. Vincent Hospital campus, this was the obvious choice when I needed to be close to my daughter who was a patient at St. Vincent. The staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. The rooms are large and I had a small refrigerator and a microwave that came in handy for my extended stay. […] I didn't have a chance to eat at the 1881 restaurant as I spent the majority of my time at the hospital. Just a hotel, nothing spectacular, rooms were clean, decor is a little dated and the general building can use a freshening up. The staff was polite and professional.

The hotel is conveniently located and inexpensive. That being said, the hotel seems very outdated and the carpets going up the stairs seem dingy. My room smelled so much like air freshener that I could feel it my throat. In my room, the TV remote was not working, the internet was *very* intermittent, and the hair dryer was not working because the outlet […] to it did not work. I was very pleased with both my hotel room and the conference facilities. I did not expect such a nice hotel for such a low price!

This hotel is good for my purposes as it is convient to my family. The restaurant is good. The bathrooms could use some work, but clean. We would stay there again. Loung nice. We did not use any other facilities.

For the money, the hotel was Ok. The only complaint I have is the bed. The mattress was shot.

I am horrendously dissatisified with my stay at Marten House. I was in town working at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, which promotes Marten House as it's "official hotel." I often go to Indy for business at the fairgrounds but had never stayed there before, and incorrectly assumed that as the official hotel, there would be no problem. I worked until […] after 11pm and showed up late, very tired and just wanting to shower and go to sleep since I had to be up again very early. Upon arrival, there was an issue with my reservation, which the manager proceeded to be unnecessarily hateful about, followed by not allowing me to check into one of my rooms. I had to get on the phone with hotels.com to straighten it out, which I did, an hour after I initially tried to check in. After getting to my room, I found old food behind the nightstand and on the unvaccummed floor. The toilet and shower were both dirty, including hair left, which is just disgusting to me. The outside of the hotel is very misleading. It is understated and looks like an office building from the outside but is lovely inside. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. Good location for shopping and restaurants. Great price!!

We drove around the building everywhere trying to find the sign for the Hotel Lobby... Never did find one.. I finally went inside and seen signs directing me to the lobby.. but had to walk quite a distance. It would have been nice to have a sign OUTSIDE saying where the hotel lobby is..

The staff was very helpful & competent. Very quiet hotel. My room looked like it had been recently remodeled. The hotel had long hallways.

Check-in was quick and easy. We felt the hotel was not cleaned very well. There was dust on top of the cabinet, the tub walls were not scrubbed very well and the halls needed vaccumed bad. Also the steps going upto our room needed a good vaccumed too. Pool was chilly. Pillows too soft and towels too small. It was convenient to stay in the same location as the conference.

This hotel was attached to a hospital wing. Many people stayed here that had sick children at the local children's hospital. I did not realize this when booking, but it did not seem to cause an issue for our needs. The pool was nice and the room was promptly cleaned. The staff was friendly. The surrounding area was nice and I would definitely recommend […] this hotel for the needs of any family that had a child in the local hospital. An ambulance was even stationed at the hospital. clean and comfortable bed but somewhat worn/outdated. price was reasonable for having conference there. Was difficult to find. Food in hotel was reasonable and very good.

The room was right above the dumpster. Was smelly. Breakfast buffet on Monday was great for the cost. Front desk was very helpful. Asked one person where the nearest casino was. She did not know but called someone for directions. They were very good. Went for the Brickyard. The hotel is located close enough to the track but was away from the rowdy […] stuff. It is easy to get to Interstate from the Hotel. Many good places to eat near by, some with in walking distance. Have stayed here before and have had better rooms. Læs mere

Was a great place to stay especially with kids. Room was very clean and we were surprised that it had a microwave and fridge, which was great. Their indoor pool is awesome, water was nice and warm and it went from 3ft to 8ft.
