"close to wedding attending"
For one night it was okay. The breakfast was a joke! Two choices of cereal, little donuts holes......No fruit.

"Good deal for the price"
Clean, friendly couldnt really ask for more for the price.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. But they keep the pool area pad locked, so that is a hassle. Also they are very strict about pool and room towels. So you may want to take your own. They have a washer and dryer at the facility which is very handy.

I was surprised at how clean the hotel was. It was minutes away from where I needed to be. The staff was friendly and helpful. The nicest stay at the greatest price. I am planning on staying there again next time I am in town.

"Howard Johnson Manteno - Not what was advertised"
We were so very disappointed. In the ad online there was a beautiful pool and whirlpool. When we got there, their was no whirlpool and the pool was cold. We went there for a overnight get away at the end of October so the kids could swim and have a little fun... it was no fun for them.
You get what you pay for.

"Decent hotel"
The hotel is decent for a one night stop and the pool was enjoyable. The staff was nice. Breakfast was mediocre to poor. The halls smelled of smokers. The price was right.

If you need to stay the night in the manteno area this is it. It was right next to the exit for interstate 57. Very easy to find, and get to. It is a simple place but for a couple of nights it was great. The service was wonderful. the man running the place always seemed to be there when needed. The breakfast was basic. For the price was very adequate and clean. Breakfast was a bit spartan, but again the price was inexpensive and therefore we didn't expect hot food. Liked the desk clerk.

"Nice place"
I was traveling from Chicago O'Hare to Urbana-Champagne and needed a no frills place to spend the night. The front desk was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and there were no odors. The wifi was fast and the bed was comfortable. The cereal and bagels for breakfast were just what I needed.
"Not bad, but deceiving pictures"
The pictures are a bit deceiving but all in all this hotel is sufficient for an overnight stay. The picture of the pool is not from this hotel nor do they have a hot tub as the picture shows. The front desk were friendly and helpful. The "continental breakfast" leaves room to be desired.

Great overnight for a 9 year old and her friends to celebrate her birthday! The indoor heated swimming pool was a smash hit! Couldn't beat the affordable rate and hotel hospitality.
"Not a good smelling room"
The room had pealing paint, and the chair and bed smelled real bad of BO.
The hotel was very nice and clean. They let us check in early which was really nice! The pool and hot tub were closed and we were hoping to use it as advertised. The tv also appeared to be going out. The color was discolored.

"Cheap and close to Chicago."
Good for a bare-bones hotel near Chicago. The front desk person was very nice, and the hotel was very quiet at night.

"small hotel and managed that way"
Hotel was ok. It served the purpose but when you are on a mini vacation you would like to see better customer service. We had to get our own extra sheets and anything else that was required. It appeared that the hotel is under-staffed
"Great service"
I stayed here for three days while I looked for an apartment in Kankakee. The guy running the place is really friendly and he was very helpful whenever I needed anything.

"Basic hotel for budget travel"
This hotel is very basic, but ok if you want an inexpensive place to stay and you don't expect much. It used to be a different chain brand, but it was "downgraded" and changed brands. My room showed its age but it was fairly clean. Furniture, bedding, and towels are thin. The facility seems safe and secure. There is a basic breakfast but I did not bother […] with it. Enough motel for the money. Nice pool, but spa needed work.
"A Good Choice"
We stayed at the motel for three nights while dropping off a son at an area college. The personnel could not have been more helpful; excellent! The breakfast was basic but adequate. The property - inside and out - was suitably maintained. It is not a destination resort, but it met our needs very well. We'd stay there again.
