The valet service ruined our stay. Two days of valet parking = 1:50h of wait.unbeleivable! No exaggeration . I am sure that dozens of people will agree. Someone in our party missed train because of it,

We arrived about 6:00 p.m., waited 10+ minutes to park, only to be told valet was full and we'd have to park blocks away at a non-hotel lot. Entry was a congested mess of cars and guests trying to get cabs. Bellmen were overwhelmed and seemed to just have given up. Got inside to a 15+ minute line to check in. Desk staff was very pleasant. Room was comfortable […] and well appointed. No fault of the hotel, but I was awakened twice during the night by groups of people standing in the hallway laughing and talking loudly in the middle of the night. No receipt under the door in the morning, so I didn't stop at the desk just left my keys and left - not about to deal with another long line to check out. I hated the customer service

It is a bit noisy. If you are not an early riser, be prepared. I tried to valet park all three nights and valet was full each night. As a single woman traveling, having valet recommend to travel around a couple of blocks, park myself and walk back to the hotel was unacceptable. Workout facility was the best part of the hotel. We enjoyed the Wyndham. Bright & clean room with a great view of the park. Bathroom was sparkly clean. I thought the beds were comfy, my family thought the beds were a bit soft. The elevators were a bit slow and we couldn't get water from the vending machine. We had to go the front desk and ask for water. Walls of rooms could use insulation - can hear people talking in next room. Doors to rooms had gaps around outside, not well-sealed, and could hear people talking in hallway.

Great place to stay. I try to check out a new ballpark each year and PNC was it. A nice brisk walk over the Clemente bridge and you are there! Within walking distance of Mt. Washington and Strip District. Very clean. Elevators dragged but I can afford to use the stairs. Amazing deal, cool view. Make this your destination!

Hotel seems to be recovering some spaces, appearance looks old worn. Expected more from the brand and price paid, far higher than hotel.com announced average for the period. Room services are poor, even when making the bed.

We were unpleasantly surprised by the size of our room - we felt almost claustrophobic in it. Too small for comfort for two people. The outdoor staff - doorman, etc. - were very uninformed...we asked where we could park and the response was very vague. The hotel does not have its own parking, so we were (poorly) directed to a downtown underground parking […] garage. No explanation about cost (valet vs. regular patron). However, the service and the food in the bar were both excellent. Next time we'll stay elsewhere and perhaps drop in for lunch. Læs mere

Booked last minute on a Saturday night after a Pirate game. There are not a lot of good options in Pittsburgh. The hotel is in the middle of what appears to be a slow and sad remodel. Room is very small and bathroom is teeny tiny. The room is remodeled and modern but dirty, kind of like no one stays here and no one had stayed in our room in a while. […] I am used to staying in nice hotels that I don't want to leave. This hotel is for people like me that have patience and that don't get upset too easily. The beds are too small and the rooms do not accomodate as many people as was adevertised on the website. It is WAY overpriced. Some of the staff, when they did not know what to do, did not exhibit good customer service. They are a work in progress, I hope. There […] were other issues with the reservation itself. We had issues with the room keys also. Because some of the staff was nice, I do wish that I had more good things to say about this hotel. Everything was great although room doors are not insulated well so heard a lot of hall noise.

The location and view from the hotel was amazing. Unfortunately the room was not so nice. The bathroom ceiling looked like it was going to collapse from water damage. The air conditioning did not work properly and there was too much noise from the hallways and other rooms. The service and location of Hotel was very good, and i would stay again at this hotel

we stayed here for 1 night. the hotel check in was good. when we went to the our floor, 12, the hallway was in horrible condition. all the doors into the rooms did not seal off completely. if there was a fire on the floor, smoke would have easily gotten into each room. we were ignored when we stepped out of the hotel to get the shuttle. once the shuttle […] finally got there, the driver was very rude. this is the most $$ i have ever paid to stay in downtown pittsburgh. and was very disappointed. we will not be staying here again! We stayed at the Wyndham for just one night. It is very conveniently located - we walked to basically all the tourist attractions. Our room was comfortable and fairly priced. Everybody at the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. The only downside: when we checked in (around 9 pm on a Sunday night) most restaurants in the area had already closed and […] - in the hotel - there was no proper restaurant open. However we had dinner at the hotel's bar and it was not bad at all. Nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either. Overall, a very nice place. Læs mere

I made my payment and reserved a king room, at a great low rate. The room was fantastically clean, smelled fresh (not the usual 'hotel scent') and had a good view. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, as were the linens and the bathroom was spotless. Everyone was very, very friendly and went out of their way to help serve us. We had to pay about $26 […] extra dollars to Valet the car, however it was ready for us with just one call and we could park for however long we wanted, the alternative is paying aprox. $10 for every 12 hrs in a nearby city garage. The city garage was close by, but still not convenient. I would love to stay here again, if we could find a great rate near what we payed, maybe even a little more. The hotel stay was great. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Pittsburgh, it is downtown near Point Park, and the Hotel also provides a shuttle within a 4 mile radius, but the service ends at around 11pm. Spent a week on business in the hotel. Great location if you want to be close to the point. Room was quiet, clean, what you'd want on a business trip. Wi-fi worked but was weak at times. Restaurant food and room service way too expensive, otherwise all else was fine. Would recommend it to others without hesitation.

The hotel is in a great location. However, paying for parking really off sets the price of the hotel. It was cheaper to stay for three or more days, but self parking was $20 a day. A bit of mold in the shower area. Called front desk and it was taken care of.

All in all it was a great stay. Awesome hotel, great service. Major complaint was that their shuttle service stopped running at 8:30 and the pillows were really small and uncomfortable. You can't have twin size pillows on a King bed.

A perfect hotel for us due to the location and dog allowance. Would stay there again!

The hotel parking valley system was organized and the staff was rude. The parking fee was outrageous, $26 to park my car for one night. And had to wait nearly an hour to do it. The elevators were old and inefficient. The bathroom was poorly done, and the chaulking around the old tub was moldy. I could of went to a holiday inn and had a better experience. […] Even their bath towels don't feel like tree bark. Læs mere

Very enjoyable. Check in was quick and easy especially on a busy New Years Eve. Our room was ready and waiting complete with a bottle of champage on ice. We were on the 19th floor overlooking the 3 rivers and the Point. The view was spectacular.

We stayed in this hotel because we were attending a Steelers football game. Perfect hotel close by. We were able to get a early check in which helped us enjoy more time in the city. I would recommend this to anyone who is in town for a game.

Was very disappointed that there was a charge to park in the garage, no one told us about this when I booked the stay. My neice was a little surprise when she had to pay. It would be nice to know this in advance. Or has she thought this should be included in the price since in was quite costly. We loved this hotel!! It had great views of Heinz Field, and a very short walk to it. Walking distance to alot of great restaurants, and things to do. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Thelma at the front desk was great at accomodating us with a new room,( because of noisy neighbors), on a very busy football weekend, which we greatly appreciated!!! […] We will definately be returning to this hotel the next time we are in Pittsburgh!!! The hardest thing was catching a taxi. Shuttle doesn't go to Oakland area. Room was small but nice. They don't have tubs but the shower was absolutely amazing. There was a little discoloration in the shower though. But it didn't bother me. I fully enjoyed my shower experience.

The location is within walking distance of just about everything, and it's easy to remember its location from wherever you're walking back from. Pretty nice view, even from our obstructed-view room. Rooms are small, but seriously, how much room do you need? Overall, staff was courteous, but did not go out of their way to be helpful. Room was clean, […] and was made up in a very timely fashion. I had a billing question after we left and found the person I spoke to in accounting to be somewhat dismissive and not particularly interested in helping me answer my question. Nice hotel, very clean great location and excellent customer service. For the price I paid, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised.

I ha read previous reviews that were critical of noise levels and elevators waits -- we had neither of these. We had a beautiful view, found staff to be very helpful and in general enjoyed our stay.
