"You are not expecting the Ritz, but..."
Stayed at the hotel the people were friendly and helpful, but the rooms were just dirty and worn, Water damage in the ceiling what was not attended too, walls were marked, cigarette burns on the tub, carpet was in real need of a good vacuum - REALLY all they had to do is periodically just clean the corners and carpet edges - don't think they ever have... This was my first time going to Florence and it was a perfect fit for what I needed. I had an appointment and only needed the room for one night. The price was great and the room was comfortable and on the 1st floor. Customer service was also great and friendly (sorry for not asking his name). "Econo Lodge Florence, S.C."
I enjoyed my stay at the Econo Lodge in Florence, S.C. It was a little different from the other hotels because there were several buildings. I was confused at first but, eventually found my room.

"Not so good condition"
No refigerator, The entry door would not shut very well and was not sealed very good. Ice maker did not work.
"a little worn but clean"
Staff was nice, room was equipped with coffee maker, fridge, safe, microwave, iron etc. At breakfast there was a waffle maker and a few other items but no eggs. Great as a stopover very close to RT95.
"Gym is a bust"
This is adequate for a low-price hotel. The room was fine and it was quiet despite proximity to the highway. My chief complaint is that all four machines in the gym were not functional.

"Econo Lodge in Florence, SC a great stop-over"
We drive from New Jersey to Florida at least 4 times a year and always stop in Florence - seeking a pet friendly hotel. This is not our first time here and won't be the last. Staff was friendly and courteous. New plus - they now offer facial wipes - I cannot use soap on my face and usually bring my own wipes - it was nice to see the wipe in the bathroom […] - I commented on it to the staff. Only issue is the rugs should be shampooed at some point. One of our dogs threw up (a day in the car can do that) and we wiped it up with a wet wash cloth. The cloth was very dirty. This is not just this hotel but others as well. Makes you think twice about walking barefoot. But other than that we were very content with the hotel - great location to Hwy 95. For the price it is a great bargain. We even ordered Chinese food delivery. Læs mere
"Well Worth It"
After a bit of trouble checking in late at night, everything went just fine. Staff at breakfast and at check out were efficient and pleasant.
"Great value for the price"
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, although it was a hassle not being able to get ice from the ice machines - allegedly the local soft ball teams cleaned out all the machines. The carpets could use a shampoo - we had to clean up after one of our pets threw up and in cleaning the rug we noticed it was pretty dirty. "Worst Econo we have stayed at..."
I would stay at another hotel in this area. Woman at front desk in need of customer service training, was told there were no non-smoking rooms, then hotels .com shows one was available, she could have saved us some time/effort if she had cared enough to look. Man at front desk then took care of us with a non-smoking room. Room in need of a lot of upgrades. […] Below a one star. The parking is great for big rig trucks/moving trucks etc. that's about it. Great location, easily accessible. Near multiple restaurant choices. Fun making waffles in the morning. Ask for the building in the very rear--extremely private, secluded. Almost like a bed + breakfast! Peaceful setting. Excellent overall.

Start with continental breakfast-Great, then lunch and dinner at the surrounding places.You will Love the atmosphere close to everything and surrounding towns.I will be back...
"Only if there's nothing else....."
Far off I-95, check-in office is closed 11pm - 7am. Rooms are small, beds uncomfortable. Looks ok from the outside, but really dreary inside. Better rooms and prices closer to i-95.

Our room was clean but it was supposed to be a Non-smoking room. We saw a burn on the bed cover. Bed were very uncomfortable. Highyway has really like, as if we had a windows open. Yoou get what you pay for. Glad it was just for one night.

"Great hotel for a traveler on a budget"
This is a great little hotel, plenty of parking, friendly staff, super clean rooms, just make sure to get a room that is not on the interstate side of the hotel. Sounded like a tractor trailer or a freight train was going to come through the room at any minute.

Everything was perfect except that we were expecting a microwave and refrigerator which I specifically asked for. Other than that, we were pleased.

ROOM WAS CLEAN AND DECENT. MOTEL WAS NEW ENOUGH TO BE A GOOD CHOICE FOR THE MONEY. SURROUNDING AREA HAD RESTURANTS & OTHER MOTELS.
