Hotellet ligger centralt lige ved banegården, og prisen incl. morgenmad er ganske rimelig i Geneve

Et hotel hvor man får meget for pengene. Pænt værelse og lækker morgenmad. Ved incheckning fik vi et kort til brug ved alle transportmidler i zone 10, der dækker stort set hele Geneve.

Man skal være opmærksom på, at det koster penge, selv om man kun ser nyheder på satelit tv. Det er kun de 6 schweiziske kanaler, der er gratis!! Vi så BBC News, CNN og tyske nyhedskanaler, og det ville have kostet os 51 schweiziske frank, altså ca.332 kr. !!! Sådan var det ikke i Zurich, hvor vi lige kom fra, og jeg har aldrig før oplevet det i Europa […] eller USA. Da vi noget forbavsede og indignerede protesterede, krævede han ikke pengene.Da vi ankom til Bernina den 22juli og rejste den 26. fulgte vi naturligvis begivenhederne i Norge. Læs mere

Centralt beliggenhed med flot service, tæt ved vand og transportmuligheder. Gode spisesteder i hele byen og verdens bedste kaffe hos Starbucks

Dreadful. Arrived late and lone reception staff member extremlely courteous. Room v shabby & cramped. Breakfast rudimentary & waiter on duty plain rude. Neighbourhood scary. Avoid.

The room was fine, in terms of size (for Geneva) and cleanliness. Breakfast was ok, if rather dull. Staff were pleasant. However, the reason why I will not return was the awful sound proofing. I was woken at 4 am by the snores of the guy in the next room, and then a fight/very noisy quarrel outside at 5 am ensured that I did not sleep. Given that Swiss […] windows are usually superb, there is no excuse for being able to hear road noise when you are 3 floors up. OK Hotel right across from the train station which is convenient if traveling by this method. Hotel was clean and the room a bit small. The surrounding neighborhood isn't the best in Geneva. Good for a 1 night stay if catching a train or flight the next morning but if vacationing for multiple days perhaps try a different part of the city.

basic hotel near the rail station, very convenient and perfect for an overnight stay. Hotel main areas have been renovated but the rooms, though large by European standards and clean, have no decor and 1950's industrial carpeting. Breakfast was includent and ok. But for longer stays, find a hotel in a better neighborhood.

Very handy location and great value for Geneva. Decor is a bit seventies - retro!

Hi we stayed at this hotel for 1 night only it was convenient for everywhere in Geneva city centre. Another pillow on the bed would have provided more comfort and the rooms were basic but clean. Decor was a little tired but the hotel served the purpose we required.

Great location, close to the train station for easy access to/from the airport. A few minutes walk away from the lake. Room was basic but very clean. WiFi service was excellent. Good breakfast and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again!

This hotel right outside (opposite) to Geneva train station. It's max 2-3 minute walk from the station. By the way, its on the left side as you come out of the station and looking across the street. It only says BERNINA and not BERNINA SWISS on the board outside the building. Staff is very friendly. Service was very good. Breakfast was very good. Just […] keep in mind that the rooms are small. Simple but good hotel. Very close to the train station (just across the street) and surrounded by restaurants, Mcdonalds, starbucks etc. ask for a twin bed room because the double was uncomfortable.

Very disappointing! Not quite a dump, but close! I realize Geneva is an expensive city, but this hotel is right on the margins of being a flop house. Never again! Don't go there if you want to be comfortable. Beds were crummy, bathroom was cramped. Plumbing weird.

The Bernina is *right* across from the train station, so, depending on what you're doing in Geneva, it's possible that you might not find a better location in town. Also, there is a perfectly serviceable pub right next door. The hotel is typically European in its layout, and so the rooms are modestly sized and the conveniences likewise modest, but […] the room was exactly as advertised and contained all the necessary comforts. My room had a double bed, a TV (which I did not use), and a bathtub (which I did use). The staff was cheerful, helpful, and willing to speak English. Also, they don't charge for Internet access, which is a *major* plus in Europe. The only downside I can think of is that the breakfast wasn't really all that, but... it's a continental breakfast. A 3 star hotel in the center of it all. Rail station is just across, shopping and restaurants surround the hotel and most of the attraction is just a few minutes walk away. If you need a decent hotel with no frills, you cannot go wrong with Bernina. The only downside is that there is no exhaust in the bathroom and no air conditioner in the room. So close to walk to from train station, but be sure to print close-up map or ask at information before leaving station. Nice sized room and BIG bathroom! Friendly , helpful staff with electrical converter to lend. Better than average breakfast with fresh fruit. Good restaurants nearby and an easy walk down to the lake.

The shower takes a bit of maneuvering as it is not mounted in typical North American style. You really get a great European feel with the tub however. Some will love it, some will hate it.

First of all, this is more of a boutique hotel, or should I say typical European hotel. The building is older, but well maintained. If you are going in the heat of the summer, beware there is no A/C, but the room had a nice fan and good ventilation. This was not an issue for us in late Sept. The location is convenient. The train station with free train […] to the airport is right across the street, and the train ride is only 6 minutes to the airport. We left the hotel at 9:15 and were at the United Counter in the airport at 9:37. There was no noticeable noise or distraction from the station being so close. The benefits of; free breakfast, free wi-fi, free public transportation passes also make staying here a breeze. Check in/out was painless as the staff had excellent English skills. Walking distance to most everything. 10 minutes to heart of Old Town. I would recommend this to fellow American "open minded" travelers who are ~not~ looking for an Embassy Suites or Spa based hotel. I was pretty jetlagged when I arrived in Geneva. It did not help thatvthe walls are VERY thin. I can hear my next room neighbor's every move in the middle of the night-- his snore, his phone buzzing, his footsteps to and from the bathroom, toilet flushing. And mind you, not that my neighbor was loud, it was just that the walls were very thin! I can […] imagine how it could have even been worse had It been a bunch of teenagers partying all night Needless to say, I was ready to move out the next day, regardless that I had already paid for my entire stay. I would avoid this hotel at all cost. It is not in te safest neighborhood either. Not a bad hotel, and conveniently located just across the street from the main railroad station as well as local transportation to all parts of the city. Breakfast room was a little cramped, but our stay was at a busy time with many tour groups, so that is probably why. Included breakfast is all right, though nothing to write home about.

Hotel is quite close to the railway station. Value for money hotel for very short stay.

Small room, but close to the main train station and nice. Free wireless internet and breakfast.

The hotel was fine, and reasonably priced compared to other options, although I found Geneva to be a very expensive city overall. It is conveniently located to metro bus stops and a number of restaurants.

Room was not one of the cheapest booked on our trip but was probably the worst one - very crowded room in a drab, old hotel. One bonus though was the free wifi internet provided. A reasonable breakfast was also included.

The service is correct and clean, the breakfast good, the location is in front of the main station and at 5 min from the Lake. But for this price, I would have expected a better comfort. The Room was small, dark and and old fashioned.

This hotel was what I expected for an average, reasonably priced hotel. The furniture was very simple and the room was small but clean. I wouldn't go as far as saying the bed was incredibly comfortable but it was just fine for a night's sleep. My room faced the back street and was very quiet. A fantastic place to stay - so close to the sights and yet convenient for the railway station which is right across the road (trains run every 10 minutes to the airport). The staff are very helpful and friendly. A delicious breakfast too!

Across the street from the Geneva train station and very close to the pedestrian area and the park where there are free music festivals every weekend in summer. Migros (big supermarket) is across the street on the side of the hotel. No A/C in my room - so wouldn't want to stay there during a heat wave. A perfectly placed hotel to access the sites of Geneva. Clean, comfortable, excellent buffet breakfast. 5 mins from airport to Cornavin train station which is directly opposite the Hotel and 10 mins stroll to the Lake. Finding the hotel was a dream! Just step out of the railway station after a long train ride and we could check in at midday! A quick shower (lots of towels provided) and off to our meeting at the UN. Friendly personnell, informative and accommodating. Storing our luggage at the hotel next day till the evening train departed was also no problem. Very close to Rail-station - good on early departure - but hotel mediocre

Would definitely stay here again! - Excellent central location! Room was fine size - furniture is plain (don't expect anything fancy) Bed & duvet were REALLY comfortable. Bathroom was fine, plenty of hotel toiletries & towels. Breakfast was good. Hotel service was effecient & friendly.

We stayed in two different rooms at the Bernina at either end of our holiday, paying considerably more for a smaller room on the first night. The hotel is extremely convenient for the train station and only a short walk to the lake. The first room we stayed in was very small - double bed pushed against the wall but the other was larger. Stayed at bernina for 2 nights and will say that the location was great, rooms were decent size, only problem is that in the bathtub the water was getting filled up when taking a shower, which is kind of pathetic, but other then that all fine.

i cannot recommend hotel bernina to anybody except for its central location....rooms specially carpets is dated and smelly. No peephole on each room so you can't see who is knocking at your door. Very handy location, directly across the street from the central train station, yet rooms are quiet and neighborhood is pleasant. Rooms are simple, but comfortable, clean, and a little larger than I expected. An excellent choice for a budget business hotel.
