"Fine hotel"
Nice place, close to downtown. No complaints at all. The access to the hotel is a little weird, but you figure out after you do it once. Good restaurants in walking distance.
"Would not stay at a Baymont property again"
The room was fairly clean, although I did have to kill a large black spider in the bathroom! The air conditioner made a clicking noise all night as it was trying to turn on and off. The first room I was giving had a terrible smoke smell in it despite being non-smoking. The second room I was moved to smelled better but not a whole lot. The only thing that has kept me from giving my stay a perfect score is the 2nd shift desk clerk that needs to learn what customer service is! Or at least act like she didn't have somewhere else she'd rather be!

"The price was right"
Affordable and convenient. Non smoking room and floor smelled of smoke. Breakfast was included and offerred choices. Eggs would have been nice.

The parking was adequate and convenient during my stay. However, I don't believe the hotel was near capacity. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The beds were quite comfortable. I appreciate the convenience of a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bathroom and bath towels made my stay somewhat uncomfortable. The bathroom was old, shower […] curtains and walls were dirty, and the towels were hard and thin, The hallways could use freshening up, at a minimim with a good carpet cleaning, and maintenance with thorough vacuuming. Overall nice convenient place. Shower curtain had mold and dirt running down it. And the bathroom smelled like dirty feet including the sink. Everything else was fine for the price.

The hotel was very nice. We were riding the Katy Trail and the hotel let us push our bikes inside our room. Everything was clean. The neatest thing was that every lamp had plugs for electronics on it. How many times do you go somewhere and not have a place to plug phones, etc. in? All hotels should do this!

"Close to the capitol bldg; good price"
This is the best discount hotel close to the capitol building. My king size room was clean and comfortable. No hair dryer. A bit noisy because it sits on a state highway thoroughfare. Pleasant staff. Satellite TV and internet service were choppy.

"Baymont - Jeff City"
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They booked me into room 217, maybe because this was designated as the Hotels.com room. The wall at the head of the bed was also the wall enclosing the elevator shaft. I got to hear anyone and everyone, @ 2 AM, coming and going. The lighting in the room was very poor. The fan coil wall unit did not work […] and the fan would not come on. Hotel is extremely outdated and looks like it was a 1960's motel that was converted by Baymont. "I am baffled by the criticism"
This is a mid-priced hotel in the middle of Missouri. Room reasonably clean? Check. Water hot? Check. Staff friendly? Check. Lights/WIFI/coffee maker/TV work? Check. What more are you looking for? Is the HVAC noisy? Have you ever stayed in a hotel before? It is room-installed HVAC just like exists in 75% of the rooms out there, and is no worse or better […] than the rest of them. Is the place noisy? When full, I imagine so, but that is true of every hotel I've stayed in. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The Baymont Hotel in Jefferson City did not meet our need with a handicap room. the stool was so low we could not sit on it, we had to go to the Hospital to use the bath room. The television did not work either day, so the manager moved us into another room, and gave us a stool riser. that room was so dusty, it made me so sick, my asthma started to […] inflame, so we left. Sheets were itchy, pillows and bed were hard, and no dimmer on the alarm clock (very bright blue enough to light up the room). Enjoyed the Belgian waffles for breakfast that you can make fresh.

The hotel was pleasant to stay in and located close to the Capital Building and downtown sites. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, but my room was disgusting. I killed several bugs in my room, the shower curtain was covered in soap scum, and the toilet was slightly stained, among other things. The wifi was free, but slow and unreliable. The hotel also appeared to be in a rough neighborhood as many of the area buildings and houses were not in good shape. […] Also, not mentioned on the website, signs on the main road leading to the parking lot said the road is prone to flooding. "Satisfied overall, good location"
I'm overall satisfied with my stay. The room was reasonably clean. The continental breakfast was basic but fine. The pool hours were a bit limited (10-10). The fitness room was minimal (a bow-flex, a treadmill, something else I don't remember) and did not open until 7 AM. Internet was slower than home, but sufficient for everything but streaming video. […] The sheets felt a bit rough to my skin, but didn't stop me from sleeping. The bathtub had a few black spots that I initially feared were dirt, but turned out to be chips in the porcelain. The staff was always helpful and polite. Overall, good value. The hotel is about three blocks from the Capitol, partly uphill. It's also just a few blocks from 54, which is the primary route to Jeff City from St. Louis. It is right on the "expressway", which in that area has traffic lights at every intersection, but at least moves faster than the other streets downtown. Læs mere

Obviously updated. Rooms clean, comfortable bed with very nice linen. AC worked well. However, staff needs training, especially if left completely alone at front desk. Breakfast choices poor. They can do better.

"BIG DISAPPOINTMENT"
The hotel is out dated, doesn't deliver what is promised as far as room size and may not have the rooms in which you were previously charged. I paid for 4 double rooms got really only 1. The other was a king bed and the other one was a handicap accessible room. So basically I got screwed out of 3 rooms and paid in full for 4.
"Extremely Loud & Intrupting of Sleep"
Had a graduation to go to in Columbia, MO. Hotel location was fine. Hotel condition was fine. After graduation, I made it to my hotel about 11:30 & order pizza. To add my mother had planned on staying with me. While waiting there was nothing but commotion in the hallway. I called the front desk about it. Nothing was taken care of. I'm pretty sure it […] was the cleaning crew and residence. About 1am I had a phone call & someone hung up. At 4am I received the same phone call. 15 mins later a phone call again but this time with an obscene caller. Telling me that there was a guy naked out side my door. I felt so bad to have my mother stay with me. I realized that this was going to continue so I unplugged the phone. Now I'm young and can understand that it was just people having fun. But when I'm paying to have a place to "sleep" and that's not what I'm getting. Definately not happy. I would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. Læs mere

the hotel was very satisfactory until we found there was no hot water. the manager was apologetic and refunded our $. other than that everything was very good. and even with the problem they did a great job of resolving the issue.
