i didn't like it at all,the room smelled musty like it's been locked for yrs. The room smelled like old moth balls.The outside looked amazing but the inside of the room was horrible,the smell made my nose burn.

Our room was large and we were able to check in early. Old bar of soap left in the shower and room service tray/dishes left on the patio table. Only 1 robe in a 2 queen room. Called front desk and these items were taken care of. Pool was nice. Got smoothies at the snack bar ($7 ea plus tax & tip) that were horrible. They were not made with fruit...just […] a bright red syrup with was was too sweet. Hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. Wanted to go out to dinner. Not much around. Online restautant reviews were not positive. Guess this hotel would be good for a convention where all meals/activities were on the property. Læs mere

We loved the Wigwam's beauty and history. The pools were awesome. The flowers were unbelievable. The rooms were so easy to live in for a week. Loved the entertainment in the courtyard and the fire pits. The concierge service was not so good. Had trouble giving us suggestions for Easter Brunch since they were sold out. Also asked about cabana details […] and never did get confident details of what you got for the fee. Did not eat at the Wigwam restaurants, did eat at the golf course. Food was OK. Was not a lot to do in area around Wigwam, found ourselves driving toward Scottsdale. Læs mere

I was thrilled with the beds as I often have difficulty sleeping away from home. The staff was very helpful and courteous . The grounds were well kept and the pool was clean. It was very nice that there were two pool options one being geared for kids. Restaurant and bar served great food. Overall, we were very comfortable there. We would stay there […] again. Læs mere

Girlfriend & I had a wonderful time at Wigwam. Spent 5 days hanging by the pool (thumbs up), playing golf and a day-trip to Sedona. Weather during the week (first week in April) was outstanding (mid-80's). Pool and bar service was a bit slow but we were on vacation . . . so it wasn't a big deal. We stayed at the Wigwam in March & attended our nephews wedding there. We had a Wonderful time there. The wedding was so beautiful. The hotel & grounds are just beautiful and the staff is so nice & helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The resort was awesome and the entire staff was very helpful and friendly. You cannot find a better place to stay. Each staff member we encountered exceeded expectations and made our visit that much better. If you don't enjoy the WigWam you have a serious problem.

Was a terrific stay with very little shortcomings. Would have been nice to have wifi in the room. The heat and ac unit was a little loud. Other than this it was great!

Worse than a fleabag hotel, a bedbug resort, Make sure to look both ways on sidewalk intersections, they're racing carts 24/7, not really much else to say.

This hotel was awesome. The rates were very reasonable and the service was excellent. We will definitely come back!

So nice to get away and be treated so kindly in a perfect atmosphere.

What a pleasant surprise! We have never been upgraded in our lives and got upgraded to a beautiful golf course casita for the night. It was quiet, comfortable and elegant. Dinner was fantastic as was breakfast. Can't wait till next time. Great golf!

The resort was built in 1929, and it retains that classic feel. The grounds and facilities are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There are some nice restaurants and a wine bar just across the street, in the neighborhood. The only issue I had was with being informed at check-in of a 20 dollar per day "resort use fee" that covers […] parking on the grounds, use of the fitness center, etc. seems like that should be factored in already. Service folks are nice; hotel layout fantastic. Lobby and meeting/social areas good. Hotel restaurants are excellent. As of Jan 2012 pool is only 18 months old. Rooms have a nice layout but are very old. Large, well appointed room. Beautiful grounds, golf, pools, dining, etc., No reason to leave the resort area if your in the area to relax. Was really bummed at the "resort fees" they tag you with when you check in. You get nothing for these additional fees, it's just a money grab. Our stay was excellent. We actually stayed another day as we were very happy with the hotel. The restaurants were excellent. We would definitely go back.

This is an outstanding resort with all of the ameneties, qualities, and style of those in Scottsdale at less than half the price. Great for families as well. If you are planning a trip or vacation to the Pheonix area - this is your place

We thought we found a great rate since the WigWam is such a nice resort. They nickel and dime you a bit so it wasn't as good as we thought. Overall, though, we love the resort. It's old meets new charm is great. We would absolutely come back and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

We stayed at the WigWam hotel for the Fiesta Bowl and found it to be an excellent hotel, within a very reasonable driving distance from the University of Phoenix Stadium. We ate breakfast and one lunch at the Bar and were very satisfied with the quality of the food. My husband and I treated our daughters and their husbands to the Fiesta Bowl since we are all huge OSU fans. So we stayed at the Wigwam Resort and all loved it. My husband loved the golf course and my daughters and I loved the location for shopping and also the facilities. The resort was also very close to the football game. Wigwam Resort is a true gem and a stay there will take you back in time as you walk through the historic main lodge with photographs of guests from yesteryear, lounge in great comfy western style furniture, play with old fashioned scrabble and monopoly sets for family fun along with modern amenities of free daily local and national newspapers, internet […] access, large swimming pools, golf courses and spa. Great dining options combine local produce cooked for gourmands, varied room accommadaions akin to private casitas with fireplaces and wetbars and beautiful landscaped grounds. Great as destination hotel, family reunion or wedding venue or as great place to hang your hat or take off your boots after visiting nearby world class museums including MIM (Musical Instrument Museum),Taliesen West (Frank Lloyd Wright.s former home), and Heard Museum of Indian Art. Staff was very helpful, courteous and professional. Check in was quick and easy. I was very pleased with the room. The main building where the hotel lobby was, had a number of rooms, some with fireplaces and comfortable sofas and chairs. We spent the end of each day in front of one of the fireplaces. We enjoyed all the old black and white photos from when the hotel was a corporate retreat for Goodyear. The decor is beautiful in the main lodge. Our room was old but huge and very clean. Only wished it had a small fridge to go with the bar area. Would have been nice to keep our drinks cold.

I highly recommend this resort. The location is not that convenient but there's plenty to do on site. The staff was wonderful. We really enjoyed the Farmers Market they have on the front lawn on Sundays. The only negative was that on check in I found expired food in the refrigerator. This was the ONLY negative. The rooms were VERY comfortable, nicely […] decorated and really spacious. I slept like a baby in the pillow top bed with all of those fluffy white pillows. I will be staying again! Læs mere

We had a upgrade to a suite as the room allocated was occupied. The room and facilities were great except that there is no fridge in any of the rooms, these can be hired from the hotel. This I thought a bit of a let downa as it is such a high end hotel.

I would highly recommend you to stay here if you can budget the stay. The rooms: Very clean, and well kept during your stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Extra towels, a forgotten toothbrush, more soap... whatever you may encounter a need for, the Wigwam staff is willing and able to help. The grounds: Excellent. To prove the point, I actually […] made the effort to take pictures of the pools and grounds in general - they are that nice. The buildings are spaced out nicely, and provide a nice sense of privacy for you. Parking isn't right outside your door, but a stroll through the grounds isn't something I minded at all. They do provide assistance with your luggage via golf carts, so don't worry about lugging your stuff long ways in or out. The pools are very nice. Of course you may expect the pools at any resort to be nice, but the way that theirs are situated, makes them feel more like a pool at home rather than the public pool down the street. Location: The surrounding neighborhood is nice. There is a school just across the street to the south, and a row of restaurants on the west border of the property. (I would recommend them as a place to go, as the food was very good and price was average) Within a 5-10 minute drive you can get to a wide variety of nicer chain restaurants, or local bars. There is even a CVS right down the street just in case you forget to pack something. Overall, I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to relax. You could easily make this resort your destination and not leave. I wish I had been able to spend more time at the resort. If you are looking for a place to crash for the night and move on the next day, this is not that kind of place. To be honest I wouldn't have sought out a place like this on my own, but as I had business here, I decided to stay for the convenience. This turned out to be a great choice. When I return to Phoenix, I will be sure to stay a little longer, and plan to enjoy the Wigwam Læs mere

The wigwam hotel room was beautiful and spacious. The grounds, pool area,parking availability was all fabulous. My only complaint was the resort fee which I thought was high; and wi/fi in your room was a charge. Free wifi was available in the hotel lobby. I would definitely stay there again!

This is an excellent resort style hotel, compromised only by its location in Goodyear, some 20 or so miles from the centres of Phoenix and Scottsdale. Fine if you are there for the golf, or you enjoy driving (very good and easy access) but not so good if you like varied convenient dining opportunities. There are few quality opportunities in the vicinity, […] we preferred to drive to Scottsdale, a 50 mile round trip. On balance though, we would recommend to others. Læs mere

Excellent staff, just an all around great place to stay.

The hotel is a very nice looking hotel. the entrance, check-in area has been remodeled, it is very pleasing to the eye. The bar area is very comfortable, great bartender. This was our second trip to the Wigwam, we may be returning in November.

Good clean enjoyable resort

A very enjoyable experience, from the front desk manager to Don the caddy escort along with Donna & her team at the Red Allen, the entire experience was most enjoyable. Donna & her team made me feel like an old friend just catching up. I would definitely return & recommend to others.

Rooms and amenities were really good except for parking. It was almost impossible to find parking near our room. Internet is not free! It is free if you pay an $18 daily activity fee. Since I had business off the hotel premises I had no time for any activities. Since I was surprised at the additional $18 per day charges. (I had not been told of this […] charges when I checked in.) I asked the clerk if they were optional. He answered no. I would advise adding this fee as a price. I personally will not stay at this resort again. Læs mere

Great historic hotel that has been updated and well maintained. The service is wonderful and the gardens and landscape beautiful. Very pet friendly.

This hotels does not give turn down, "house keeping" if you stay multiple nights. I had to call the front desk to have new towels brought up. The layout of the hotel is a joke. Took us almost a half hour to find our room. I talked to other guests and they went through the same thing we did, driving around in circles trying to find your room. I have […] been a guest at my share of hotels, this is one I would never have on my list. They charge you an extra 18.00 just for being a guest here. There is no fridge, free internet service, the ice machine aren't even near the rooms. To enjoy the pool, you must walk an 1/8 mile or drive to it. A lovely resort with beautiful landscape. A new pool that was very nice. Staff went out of their way to help when needed. This is our fourth stay at this resort. Highly recommend.

My stay was a pleasant experience. The room fit my needs and had everthing I needed. The staff was awsome! They were extremely knowledgable and were always eager to help. I will stay there again.

My stay was delightful. They accommodated my new puppy, in a beautiful room and patio, with easy access to the grass :) Really enjoyed the experience.

I was there for a conference. The hotel is nice but a little over priced. It's sitting on some beautiful grounds with pools and winding patways. There are no refrigerators or microwave ovens in the rooms, and there is no convenience store in the hotel anymore.
