Vi boede to nætter på Avenue Suites, og var mere end tilfredse. Kæmpe lejlighed i fuldstændig nyistandsat bygning, meget venligt og hjælpsomt receptionspersonale, og sågår en udemærket (inkluderet) morgenmadsbuffet, som vi ikke var blevet lovet på forhånd. Topkarakterer!! :-)

Hottellet ligger rigtigt centralt i forhold til de store seværdigheder i det centrale Washington DC. Det er slidt og af ældre dato, men det er funktionelt og vi havde ikke noget at udsætte på servicen. Desværre er hotellet stort og billigt, hvilket lejrskoler og lignende også benytter sig af. Det var ret irriterende, at den pris hotels.com oplyste blev belagt med en skat på 10 procent pr. overnatning da vi tjekkede ud og skulle betale regningen! Vi forventede at den oplyste pris var den fulde pris!

Fint suite-værelse med separat soverum. Der var lidt mørkt og kun to stole ved spisepladsen, men ellers fine faciliteter. Vi havde booket to nætter til at "komme" os efter en lang flyvetur med to børn, og det var hotellet rigtig fint til.

It was great to stay at this hotel, Only minus I got a room that was probably part of a previous suit, as it has a closed connecting door to the next room, and my nabos were a bit noisy. However the hotel proposed to move me rooms which I was too lazy to do :). But really a great place to stay, great pool on top.

Ganske godt hotel Placeringen nær ved The Capitol building og Union station er meget behagelig. Hotellet er generelt meget fint - i god stand, udmærket service, udmærket rengøring, og med en ganske god restaurant. "Et godt hotel i gå afstand fra de fleste seværdigh"
Hotellet er velfungerende og ligger fantastisk godt placeret på Capitol Hill. Betjeningen er venlig og hjælpsom og meget professionelle. Restauranten kunne godt have et lidt bredere udvalg på menuen rettet mod turister.
I loved the hotel. All the things I wanted to see were within close walking distance. I didn't feel unsafe walking around at night, although there is some sort of homeless shelter a block or so away. The room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The next time I'm in DC I will make sure to stay here again!

"Clean and comfortable, not the best service."
Upon telling the concierge that I was planning to propose this weekend, I was offered a room upgrade that I would have to pay for and nothing else. Decided to stay at the W Hotel in DC the second night from a friends recommendation where they gave us a free room upgrade, reserved table in the lounge, and a complimentary bottle of Champagne and chocolate […] waiting in our room. So the Liaison was clean an comfortable, but they didn't not go the extra mile for our special weekend. Recommend the W Hotel if you want to feel special during your stay. Læs mere
"Good location"
This was our second stay at the hotel. Great location-within walking distance to the capitol, museums and Union Station. Great amenities. Super comfortable beds and really nice decor. Only complaint is the HVAC system. Both stays the room was warm. Even though the thermostat said 68 degrees-there was no way it was that cool. Had maintenance look at […] it and the confirmed room was not as cool as thermostat said-but could not seem to fix the issue. Windows are sealed-so could not even open one up to cool it down more. "Great hotel"
We were promised adjoining rooms with my sister, but we're told the room wasnt't ready. We came back later to find we didn't have adjoining rooms. Turns out that room was a king and they first told us it wasn't available, but did end up giving us the room, even though it was a king and our reservation was for a queen. "Make sure to double check your reservation before!"
Con:I booked and prepaid for a double queen bed 3 weeks in advance for my trip and upon arriving at the hotel to find out they did not have ANY double queen bed rooms available for me. A HUGE inconvenience for me since I had 3 other people with me. The initial person who checked me in informed me of this and did not apologize for the inconvenience and […] basically told me I had no choice but to take a one king bed room. I was offered a $25 "voucher" towards breakfast or dinner, but I would have wanted that credited back to my account instead. After a long day and car ride, I was extremely irritated to find out I couldn't get my original room, so make sure to double check they even have the correct room for you! "distance and honesty"
I chose this hotel because it was suppose to be a quarter of a mile from the US Court of Appeals. I typed in the address to make sure. In actuality, it was a mile and one half, requiring numerous cab rides and bother. Further, as I was leaving, I told the doorman I wanted to go to the airport. He said to use one of the hotel's drivers, 'as a service […] of the hotel'. That 'service' cost $16.50, as much as a cab. A 'service' does not cost; it was misleading at best.. Also, the hotel charged for use of their business center computer. This is not usual, and is just one of many attempts of the hotel to gauge for extra costs. No, I would not stay there again. "Weekend Luxury on Capitol Hill"
This was our second stay at the Liaison. We love the haute-contemporary feel of the whole place. We were in one of the newly renovated rooms which had a very comfy king bed, a great workspace, and even a loveseat with end table (in a standard room!) Everything was pitch-perfect. I like that they have reading lamps over both sides of the bed. The hotel […] is really close to Union Station, the Smithsonian museums and the Eastern Market farmer's and flea markets. There you can get some amazing breakfast pastries and some heirloom fruits to keep you satisfied through the day. The restaurant "Art and Soul" serves neo-Southern comfort food. It isn't cheap but the food is really good. I would recommend dining earlier in the evening there because later on (because of the bar) it can get loud and crowded. Best of all for us, there are TWO free handicap access parking spots right in front of the hotel. My husband has a disability and this was a big, big perk. Everything was very good overall. I did leave a small bag there that needed to be sent to me and I had to pay the shipping fee which I thought was cheap of them considering the hotel prices and parking fees were not cheap. A former Holiday Inn, this VERY expensive hotel will nickel and dime you. No free newspapers and expensive internet and 800 phone calls. The walls are paper thin and hotel sits next to a fire station. Close to the Capitol, but otherwise a bust.

Very nice place to stay within easy walking distance (even with luggage) from Union Station. Safe and pleasant walk to all Capitol Hill locations. Very friendly and polite staff. Decor is modern and stylish -- black and chrome -- without being stark or cold.

"Great Stay"
My wife and I stayed here after a night out in DC on 3/2/12. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The Art & Soul Restaurant located here is one of the best places to eat in all of DC. The food is great and I've eaten at alot of restaurants in DC. I don't have any negatives to say.

Everything was wonderful from when you first walk in to the until you walk to your state of the art room. The hotel staff had good intentions and were but came off like they had attitude problems in the very beginning. They seemed a little too assertive. "Rennovation Rewarding Experience"
The room was so new that you felt like the first one to occupy it. Furnishings have a retro feel. Seemed to be the place to be. The lobby was full of people using the wi-fi connection. Restaurant at the hotel has a limited but wonderful menu-not inexpensive-but comparable to similar upscale restaurant prices. I would stay there again.

My stay at the Liaison Hotel was outstanding! I spent my Birthday weekend there and was treated royally Bhutan the entire staff. I will definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

I have to admit that I was very disappointed, It was my daughter’s birthday and I wanted to take her to a nice boutique hotel instead of the normal Hyatt and Hilton hotels we only had two days to celebrate as I have a very busy work schedule and I am in graduate school so based on internet research I chose the Liaison on capitol hill I was so disappointed, […] the hotel lobby was beautiful but the gentleman that checked us in was unfriendly and aloof even though I made reservations well in advance we our room was on a floor still under construction which you had to walk through to get to the gym. The first day they got our breakfast order wrong and then we returned from our tour at 3pm, the room was not made. The bed sheets were not changed nor the towels even though I had placed the sign on the door to request service expecting at least clean towels. To make a bad situation worse when I called housekeeping and then the visitor services I spoke to the same representative that seemed annoyed that a half hour after I called the first time I was calling again. She promised that the hotel manager would come to see what I was speaking about and the hotel manager never came. However the house keeper eventually came back to our floor to clean the room she was friendly and apologetic but clearly rushing and actually asked if she had to vacuum I felt bad for her she was clearly under pressure to finish and I said no it is fine. The best part of our stay was our reservations at art and soul the waiter was very nice and attentive the food was out of this world and it made the rest of our experience melt away when we left the next day my newly 15 year old daughter had a big smile and great memories of her capital and Art & Soul. I do not think I would choose the Liaison again if it was such a special trip they were not great on service but we will definitely visit Art &Soul again. Læs mere

Nice hotel, some floors under re-construction; floors that are done are great. Great bar, Jason will pour a nice beer, or make a great Cosmopolitan.
The things in the hotel were extremely overpriced, and there was a water leak where we couldn't use anything for a few hours! And I booked to have a king room with a few and all I got was 2 queen beds and no view!

Hotel was renovating several floors, but was doing so carefully and quietly. We stayed on the 10th floor in the newly renovated rooms. Hotel was very nice, well kept, quite comfortable. Only about 3 blocks walking distance from the Capital, and about 20 minutes or so (walking leisurely) to the Natural History and Air/Space museums. The valet parking […] is very expensive, but there a number of parking garages within several blocks for half or less the rate, especially on the weekends. As far as food goes - the on site restaraunt and bar caters to the upscale crowd. There is a nice deli across the street, a little less than typical DC pricing at about $6-8 per sandwich, does not include drink or chips. Walk down D or E street about 7-9 blocks, and you'll find about 20 different options for food, including a McDonalds/Burger King. Just avoid the McDonalds at the Air and Space museum, it's about double the typical pricing! Very nice, would definitely stay here again, felt like we got a great deal at Hotels.com Læs mere

"Liaison Capitol Hotel in Washington DC"
The hotel was fine but I was not aware that there was construction being conducted on other floors until I checked in. While the construction noise was limited to daytime, it was very distracting. I spent a considerable amount of time working on my computer from the room, all the while listening to hammers pounding from 9:00AM until 7:00PM.

This place is a stone's throw from the Capitol. So the Mall is just a few minutes' walk away. Good value for the location. The room was very clean and luxurious. They had some construction going on, but I didn't hear anything because I was up on the 9th floor. Nothing inconvenient. I had to rent a car from Dulles; the connectivity to the DC area from Dulles is just awful. So it is not really their fault. Fly into Reagan, and you should have a great time. This hotel is pretty good for business people to live, and also for family to live. It is very clean and convenient for people to go other place in Washington DC. because it is in the near unionstation and congress. It will be better, if this hotel can offer free wifi in room.

We only stayed in this hotel for two nights however on check in my wife and I were advised our room with a queen bed as booked was not available so we had to settle for two double beds. They did offer to move us the next day however after a long day site seeing we couldn't be bothered moving so stayed put and checked out the next day.
