Hotellet er placeret i et meget flot kvarter i Charlotte, der er butikker og restauranter i området. Jeg kan helt sikkert anbefale hotellet

"newly Renovated"
This is a great hotel....deserves to be a 4 star! Reviews are under rated and reflect the old hotel.

"Really Nice hotel"
Everyone was really friendly and was quick to help with any need. Hotel was really nice and clean. Their location is great. All they were missing was a shuttle to and from airport.

"Gross Hotel"
So... this hotel is cheap and you are getting what you paid for. The breakfast was terrible. The rooms and hallways were dirty. It looks like they are renovating which is good, but don't be fooled by the pretty lobby. The minute you get into the elevator you know something is wrong. Between the old janitor type elevator buttons, to the plexi glass clear […] logo with tinfoil (I kid you not) behind it to make you look sheak. Never mind that you just waited about 10 minute for the elevator to come in the first place. Then you start to walk down your hall which is dark, hot, and looks like its from an old porn flic. The room was actually better than I thought, but there were still residual suds I hope from the cleaning person. The internet died on three floors... Oh did I mention that the machines to get your parking ticket in the parking lot looked like they had been hit with a bat? The wires were literally hanging out. The one redeeming quality are the staff have their southern hospitality on in full force. They were so nice, and even found me some yogurt when their kitchen had closed for breakfast at... 10:00am... The location is really all the hotel has going for itself. They need major upgrades. We needed to let the shower run for 10 to 15 minutes before we took a shower because the hot water really did not last long.... "Blake hotel"
The hotel was under renovations and as I checked in and waited for the elevator, the workman stated he had shut down two of the elevators and the other two were not working that well. Needless to say, I took the stairs to my 5th floor room. It looked nice, but the bathroom was painted, and not neatly. "Waste of Money!!!!!!!!!!"
THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!!!!! The pictures looked nice but it is nothing like the pictures. You have to park on the other side of the hotel. The breakfast was cold! Just TERRIBLE! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IT STINKS!!!!!!!!!!
"Good for a one night stay"
The hotel is a pretty good location, the staff was friendly and polite, and there is a free shuttle. My experience in the hotel was pleasant but i found the bed uncomfortable and the heat did not appear to work.
"Needs Updating"
The Blake has a very tacky modern look. The drawers of the chest would not stay clord because the floor was not even. The A/C leaked and we had to move to another room. All that can be said is that we got it cheap.

"stay at the Blake"
We loved the Blake Hotel. The decorations were really cool and modern and the staff was awesome! They are going to start renovating soon; I hope that they keep the coolness of it...I know it's going to have an indoor pool.
The staff was very polite and friendly! The room was very well done. I would stay there again!

"Pretty much a 3* hotel but the staff is GREAT"
As others have said, the lobby has been updated and the rooms are OK, but it's pretty obvious that this hotel is dated. What I liked best is that the staff. From the front desk staff, to the bartender to the driver of the courtesy shuttle everybody was friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again for sure.
"New Years Eve"
We stayed for NYE, it was walking distance to the Time Warner Arena, the staff was really great and overall a very nice stay. It was New Years, so I expected noise and such and it was noisy but on a different night with different neighbors it would probably be OK.

"The Blake -don't stay here -ever"
The Blake looks nice in the pictures on the website, however, this is total deception. The building is old, run down and right next to the interstate. I was thankful everytime I got off the elevator that it didn't crash. There were remnants of what looked like bed bugs under my mattress. The breakfast is not always included with the room and is terrible. […] (Got charged $12 for breakfast on the first day before realizing it was not included with the room). "so-so; misleading advertising"
I'd have to say the hotel was okay. We didn't have the best experience. Part of that may have had to do with the fact it was new year's eve. There were only 2 desk clerks. They should have anticipated the volume of late afternoon check-ins. Although there were four elevators, they were SUPER old, SUPER slow and very hot. Lines and waits to get up and […] down were ridiculous. The most aggravating thing was the fact that although we paid for our room months in advance, we were given the wrong type of room and the phone didn't work. Then we had to wade through more lines to get back to the desk to get a new room, get back upstairs and then the air in the second room wasn't working. It was like a sauna and there were no windows that opened so it was suffocating. And the tv remote needed batteries. We waited about 20 minutes for a maintenance guy to show up and meanwhile demanded a third room seeing as how we had been "checking in" for one whole hour at that point. While we were checking in I noticed a snack bar and asked how long they were going to be open. The guy said the food was available 24 hours but when we got back around 2 they were sold out of everything. More poor planning. The reason I rated them higher in customer service was because the third time, we were able to get them to bring up keys to our new room so we wouldn't have to fight elevator lines again. And the maintenance folks were helpful. The third room was fine. All rooms were clean. If you look at their website, you are given the impression that it is super luxurious and modern. The lobby is as it looks on the website but none of the three rooms we were in looked anything like the website photo even though they had been renovated. I especially noticed we only had three pillows on our king size bed but the picture shows like six. "nice hotel"
The only thing I didn't like was there was no ESPN or ESPN2 on the tv( My first ever experience of this even in foreign countries). Front desk said they are working on getting this resolved with a provider.
"The Blake- Terrible Service!!!"
We stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve and was looking forward to our stay based on how nice it looked in the pictures and on their website. I do wish that we had read the prior reviews because we ended up with awful service and the wrong room. We booked a king room but were placed in a room with two double beds. When we contacted the front desk, […] we were told that the hotel was full and that they could not correct their mistake. However, they did offer to compensate us for half of our room's price, which on checking out they claimed was lower than what we actually paid. Other things wrong... 1. The elevators were too slow and the bell hop pushed guests off of elevators in order to make his cart fit. 2. The tub did not drain properly, leaving standing water in the tub while you showered. 3. The parking situation was terrible and the front entrance was impossible to navigate due to this. 4. The wait for checking in was about 30 minutes. "Not worth the price"
The lobby is gorgeous - newly rennovated and awesome. The rooms have new headboards and decent furniture, but the carpets and bathrooms are nasty. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable (and I usually can sleep on anything). Lighting in the rooms minimal. Once you get past the lobby, it is obvious that the rest of the hotel needs some serious upkeep. […] Parking costs an additional $13 per day and internet access costs $9. "Blake Hotel in Charlotte, NC - Frat House"
Maybe it was just because it was New Year's Eve, but I felt like I was in a frat house. When we arrived the lobby was full of people, all carrying coolers and 12 packs and open drinks. The noise and music went on till around 3 AM. Our "Deluxe" room had a bed, desk and TV. I would have expected at least a small refrig for deluxe. I guess the King size […] bed was deluxe. Læs mere
"The Blake...Just Okay..."
We recently stayed at the Blake for the bowl game. The renovations are nice and the hotel looks really nice. I'm not a real picky person, so I don't care about some of the things other people are complaining about (elevator renovations on 3 out of 4 walls, bathroom too small). However, the apparently did stop at bathroom renovation. Everything about […] the bathroom is old. Still don't care about that...but what is annoying. The lights didn't work in the bathroom...light is a must. We had to use the heat lamp for light and just hope you were done with your shower before time ran out on the heat lamp. The other problem is there was no phone in our room to call the front desk to report the lights being broken or to report crazy loud kids at 3am. Phone and lights...necessities in my book. I liked the hotel's location and the fact that we were the only guests (seemed to me) in the entire hotel. I just wish there was an indoor pool.

"A good price for the location."
We stayed here one night for a college bowl game 1 mile away at the football stadium. This is an older hotel that appears to have been updated including nice beds and flat screen TVs. Only a couple of issues. The elevators looked ancient - not exactly inspiring confidence when the door closed. The $13 parking was not in a deck, just the surface spaces […] outside. I'm not sure how they would know who paid the parking fee as the gate arm was removed and there was no attendant. Also, the TV did not appear to have ESPN - at least I couldn't find it. Hotel was under serious construction had I known this I would not have booked. There was not lounge,restaurant or place to set and enjoy any kind of atmosphere. There needs to be lots of improvements before I'd ever step into this hotel again. Room was over priced.
"You get what you pay for"
I would not stay in this hotel again. A good price, yes, and located in downtown. The hotel shuttle and the friendly driver that takes you anywhere you want to go was the best aspect of it. The hotel has been renovated, and you can tell- the shower in my bathroom shot water out from where the fixtures met the wall, and when I turned on the faucet, brown […] water came out. "Blake Hotel not as advertised."
The advertised restaurant and bar were closed for the holidays? However, room service was available. Bathroom was very cramped between the door and the half-shower wall. Advertised free shuttle to uptown was nowhere in sight to get to work in the morning. A car was called and cost me $7.00 and a tip.
First off the hotel needs an upgrade, and its actually overrated if you asked me.

"Nice Stay, but Not a Deal"
The hotel felt safe and clean and was conveniently located to downtown Charlotte. I'd stay here again, but not unless there weren't other options. Parking was $13/day and internet in the room was $9/day. There wasn't a business center, so make sure to bring your own computer if you plan on using the web at all. Not exactly what I was expecting for the […] price I paid. They had plenty of snacks and a breakfast, but nothing was complimentary. I was short a battery for the TV remote which I asked to be brought to the room. I went out for dinner shortly after I put in the request and never saw a battery. I also hung all towels as instructed by a card in the room which stated that if they were hung, they wouldn't be replaced. All towels were replaced anyway, so it doesn't seem like the follow their own green initiatives. Again, I felt clean, safe, and close to downtown, but I've stayed at plenty of other hotels which offered more for the price I paid for this hotel. Læs mere
"This is not the boutique hotel it is marketed as"
The restaurant is closed for renovations, which is fine, but I hope that the rest of the hotel is being renovated along with the restaurant. 2 out of 4 elevators worked, and in the two working elevators the control panels were hanging open, hanging on by one hinge! First of all, it's unsafe. Second of all the elevators were in need of repair, with […] numbers scratched off of buttons, etc. The room was okay, but there was toilet paper stuffed in the peep hole of my room - weird and creepy. The thermostat in my room did not work and when I tried to adjust the temp, it actually fell.out.of.the.wall.and.into.my.hand. Ridiculous. Parking is a bit of an ordeal as you have to go back out to your parking space and put a slip of paper on your dash to avoid a ticket. Is this place really that hot of a spot? No. There were no more than five cars in the lot. Save yourself the trouble and stay at the Hampton Inn just up the street - similar price point (if not better), cleaner, more put together, and just as convenient. Læs mere
"Bizarre renovation choices"
The Blake Hotel looks like some HGTV show came through and did poor one-day makeover on a very old hotel property. And forgot to change the carpet. Old beds, old everything, just a "fresh" coat of brown paint. Heard many guests complaining that their air conditioners did not work and were not fixed despite requests. Pick another spot.
"The Blake Hotel - an odd mix of good & bad"
The elevators are indicative of your overall experience at the Blake: three walls are modern, immaculate and well-maintained, and the front has panel doors sprung open, scratches, and first-floor buttons with the letter rubbed off. The free wifi in the lobby actually works better than the paid wifi in the rooms. The staff is courteous, but it took […] me three trips to the front desk to get a small issue resolved. Housecleaning is fine, but there was a leak in my bathroom (source unknown), and someone else staying there told me his shower tended to flood the bathroom floor. The Blake serves breakfast (both a buffet and cooked to order) in their bar, but apparently not lunch or dinner. They have a self-serve snack shop with prefab sandwiches and salads (think what you would get at a kiosk in an airport ... including airport pricing). The last place I stayed was a Super 8 motel; the Blake was considerably nicer than that. The next place I stayed after the Blake was a Marriott, and the Blake was lacking in comparison (but also somewhat cheaper). Læs mere
