Crowne Plaza Dulles Aiport - Herndon

This hotel could use some major upgrades in the rooms. I was extremely disappointed in what I found. The beds are low and appear to be worn down. The smell of mildew was abundant. The room was cramped with furniture. I could not even push my chair all the way out from the desk while working. I would not stay here again. Our one night stay was great. They gave us a Club floor room as a room at the rate booked was not yet available when we checked in. We were able to walk across the street and go to a movie and dinner, had the whole jacuzzi to ourselves in the evening and took the free 4:30 am shuttle to Dulles for our early morning flight. This was a great place to rest before a long flight or after a long flight. The staff was courteous, but not too much customer service offered beyond that. They seemed to nt want to be there, but that did not in any way detract from my experience...I just chalked it up to "rude D.C. people."

Basic, no-frills-looking hotel. On the low end of Crown Plaza hotels. Comfortable, but nothing spectacular. Front desk staff let me charge my iPad all night at the desk. I lost my iPad charger.

The hotel stay was excellent. The bed was very comfortable after a long days travel. Shuttle service to airport was perfect. The driver was open and communicated offerings recommendations in the local area. The only complaint was that the hotel gift shop was closed and the front desk wasn't able to provided service to several customers whom were waiting […] for it to open. Læs mere

The front staff was very professional and helpful, we were fortunate to get a free upgrade. Free on site parking and shuttle service to Dulles is a big plus.

Love the big bed in their king non smoking rooms. They have a nice in door pool and hot tub. Wasn't a big fan of the air conditioning unit in the room. The blinds did not completely block the window. We got a great rate at this hotel and it was in a good location for eats and entertainment. It was also on the Virginia bus line that connected to the DC train (Metro). It was worth it as we quickly learned the Metro system. The first room they offered smelled stale and they quickly gave us another room which smelled fresh & clean. Daily service was […] excellent and they helped us with bus questions, etc. The room, however clean & tidy, was small. For a 3.5 star hotel, we expected more room between the foot of the bed and the TV/dresser. It was one-way traffic & the two of us were always trying to squeeze through. The bathroom was small too, one sink and while there was a nice make-up mirror, I expected more from a Crowne Plaza Hotel. We would certainly stay there again, and recommend it as well, but it's more of a 2.5 - 3.0 star hotel. Oh, Wed night, there are free snacks & drinks for the guests. Nice. Læs mere

The hotel had been updated, but didn't have a really clean appearance or smell. Our room was next to the hotel boiler room which ran all night long. The shuttle service ran every half hour, which was a huge plus, since we had a 6:30 a.m. flight.

The actual hotel is perfect for the business traveller. The pictures on the Hotels.Com web site do not do the hotel justice. I was very surprised to see the modern facility when I arrived.

This was a good place to stay with a fine (low) price through hotels.com. There was one glitch--we asked for a king bed and instead got two double beds--but that was a minor annoyance. I think you would be hard-pressed to find a better value at this location.

Just getting ready for bed and the fire alarm went off, handled nicely by the hotel manager but a terrible inconvience to the guest that had to walk down 4 flights of steps. They had trouble the week before and that should have been taken care of properly. Enjoy staying there and have many times, and will go back.

Which is good since they are in the accomodation business. Check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I will stay here again the next time we are in DC.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Bathroom was updated and very nice. Halls to rooms needed updating and/or cleaning. Will try to find another hotel next time.

Great location for Dulles airport flights. Handy, quick shuttle to airport starts at 5:00am

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was mediocre with the same tired scrambled eggs every day. I would recommend the hotel but without the breakfast option.

Hotel ideal despues de un dia intenso en Washington, muy limpio, muy lindo, muy familiar, me hospede con mi esposa y 2 hijas, y el precio realmente excelente..... Unicas notas negativas: un poquito lejos de Washingtosn se requiere GPS para llegar, y a la hora de reservar, reserve para 2 adultos y 2 niños, incluyendo los desayunos, pero a la hora del […] check-in solo me dieron 2 tickets para desayunos, al reclamar, la recepcionista que hablaba español, me obsequio un tercer ticket.... Ya había estado en otro hotel de esta cadena en LA, asi que conocía el tipo de hotel y los servicios del mismo, debo decir, sin embargo que el servicio y atenciones en este eran un tanto mejores que en LA, sin embargo los estándares de este hotel están muy bien para su categoria, la limpieza y los servicios son muy buenos, quizás el que no cuenten con […] room service es una falla pero por lo demás cumple con las expectativas del viajero de negocios o para unas vacaciones cortas. Este hotel está a buena distancia de restaurantes, trenes y del IAD aunque para viajar a sitios turísticos debe contar con vehículo. Læs mere
