The only positive think to say about this motel is the convenience to the Boardwalk. There was not even a phone in the room. We were next to the office and it was noisy until 2 a.m. I would not recommend this to anyone!

Very disappointed with room, outlets did not work, door didnt lock well, loose tiles in bathroom floors.

The room smelled like an ash tray when we opened the door. We complained about this and were told the room had been 'deep cleaned' prior to our arrival. We wanted to see the Christmas boat parade so the location was perfect and the room wasn't so bad after a bottle of frabreeze leaving the fan on for a few hours!

The office staff was pleasant. The door to our room was open when we arrived. Since all doors face the outside, this was not a good feeling. The best thing I can say about the room is that the air conditioner worked fantastically! There was mold in the bathroom, the room needed to be painted (you could tell several coats had been removed due to furniture […] rubbing walls), the lighting was terrible. When we attempted to determine the cause of no lights, we founds that plugs had been removed from the cords. The sheets on the bed appeared to be clean but extremely wrinkled. Were they really changed before our arrival? The bed was like sleeping on a board. I would say that our stay at this hotel was equivilent to camping. Læs mere

The front desk clerk did not want to accept the receipt saying that the room had already been paid for. He was extremely rude and made us want to leave. We only stayed because we had already paid. The rest of the time was fine, it just got our special weekend off to a stressful start. I do not like to complain but this was really bad.

We were very dissappointed with Passport Inn - Kemah. The location was great, but the ammentities were lacking. The room smelled musty, the cable did not work, the wireless internet connection they claim to have had no signal the entire weekend. Would not reccommend staying here.

Hotel Review: Hotel staff was incredibly rude upon checking in, which I ignored. Non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes, night light lamps didn't work. When my wife reached back to check if it was plugged in she was shocked very badly. The socket was completely ripped out of the wall and the wires were bare. The hotel front desk clerk, the rude one, […] switched us rooms (grudgingly). Then had that one cleaned and re-rented it to someone else! New room had moldy food in the drawers and actual human excrement on the bathroom walls. The walkway had blood splatter and the parking area ceiling had a cascade of water pouring out of it, and to prevent a collapse of the floor plywood was nailed to it and painted the same color as the hotel. Also the "pool" was an above ground 4' deep retail store special that is situated out the back next to a beer bottle infested empty lot. When I complained to the front desk clerk he became agitated, followed me outside (where my wife was packing the car) with his phone and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. Because I was "trespassing" Not only filthy and unhygienic, but staff was rude and it was physically unsafe. Læs mere

We asked for no smoking, got smoking. When we came in about 1 am there were several people out in front of our door. We called to the office 2x between 2 & 3am because of people sitting outside our window yelling and laughing. My husband asked them to please go to their own room because we were trying to sleep, and every time it was a different group […] of people all going to the same 2 rooms each time. when we talked to the desk he said he couldn't do anything about it except kick them out. I told him obviously there were more people in the room then registered and he said I was the only 1 complaining. I told it was because they were leaning and sitting on the a/c unit in front of our room and at our door. We turned on the bathroom fan and a/c fan on high to help drown out the noise. We may have gotten 2 1/2 hours sleep that night. My worst experience ever at a hotel. We will NEVER stay at that passport again. We thought it was going to be a pretty decent hotel because it was right next to the Boardwalk. My husbands band played there that night and we were going to spend the next day in Kemah, instead we got up and went home because we were so frustrated. If anyone asks of a good place to stay in Kemah, I will tell them NOT to stay because of the horrible experience and treatment we received from this Hotel.* On a side note: The coffee pot was filthy, the fridge didn't work and they had a note tacked to the wall asking for us reuse our towels if we stay more than 1 night. The hotel was beautifully decorated, and the staff was very helpful. Although the clerk was not familiar with the resteraunt that we were inquiring about, we soon realized that we had the name incorrect, which was why he didn't know where it was. The view from our room was amazing and the walk to the Boardwalk was nice. There was a few small things […] wrong with the room, but nothing that hindered our comfort (a lamp that was not working and a broken tile in the bathroom). The staff was very nice and attempted to assist with every question we had. The price was amazing! Another hotel that was only a block away costs almost three times the price of this one, so this place is definately a bargain! Læs mere

The hotel was poorly rated when I booked. But the management claimed to have made changes so I took a chance. The hotel was not perfect, but at this price I didn't expect perfect. It is within walking distance of the boardwalk. The front desk was helpful. The rooms were clean. It wasn't the Hyatt, but I didn't pay for the Hyatt. I'd stay at the Passport […] Inn again, especially for the convenience in Kemah. Læs mere

Each time my husband and I decide to book a trip, the most difficult decision is WHERE we are going, but I'll say this...if we decide on Kemah (which we do once a month in the summer), it's at THIS hotel!! You can't beat the price, service, or convienence!!!
