My husband left his socks on the floor during the night and there was bed bugs in his socks and on our suitcase. We discovered this after we left and I called the hotel and I was yelled at and wasn't even able to talk. I could see if I called up yelling and upset but I just wanted them to know about the situtation. I am a business owner and geees I […] would think that he would be concerned about a problem like that. Very unprofessional! The floor in the room was wet and the rugs were NASTY The bathrooms were not clean. The pics are VERY misleading. The laundry area was sooo dirty, rusty and has a latch on the dryer because the door wouldn't stay shut. Breakfast was horrible (not fresh) and nothing that I would ever eat. We asked for extra pillows (the pillows were so flat) and waited a few hours and had to go back and she said she forgot. Waste of money!!!! Læs mere

This hotel should be used as a once in a lifetime experience of the worst hotels that you can encounter. I am not picky by any means and do understand that they offer rooms from (cant say it here, against the rules), bu this is just the beginning of the story. Greeted by rude and very unprofessionally dressed woman who had her child running around and […] her husband standing on the other side of the counter, making constant remarks and comments. Walking through the hotel you will see why its discussing. The smell is horrendous. Carpet has visible MOLD on it. I've read the reviews before i went, but i thought people exaggerated. They didn't. Once in the room it smelled like a cigarettes more than anything. Asked to move us to another room. The lock was broken. Gave us a third room. Chased us down the corridor to give us another room, because that one was occupied already. The list goes on and on...from broken patio door to non working hair blower to nasty breakfast with milk spilled all over the place. By the way show up early for breakfast because if you are an hour late you will not be able to get coffee or those nasty looking mini muffins that had a coat of oil on them from standing several days. I just turned around and left before i picked up a salmonella or some other nasty disease. I've been to 3rd world countries and they have better hottels for this price. And if they don't have the amenities, they equal it with friendly and prompt service. That's what separates good business practices and failing business. SERVICE. Sorry for any misspelling. The room size and ammenities were nice but the room was not very clean. Hotel hallways had odors and my room smelled very strongly of toilet bowl cleaner or some other disinfectant. Hopefully they will do some real cleaning and sanitization soon.

This place is a dump! The pictures on the site are nothing like the hotel. It smelled like milldew and the toilet in the bathroom wouldn't stop running. I've stayed at many hotels and this was the worse hotel I've ever stayed at.

The bad: Bad location. Room was clean but poorly maintained. Place smelled of stale smoke. Thin walls loud neighbors. The good: Cheerful welcome, friendly cleaning lady

The room had food on the chairs and mashed into the rugs (some of it didn't look like food, it looked like....) The place had a diffuse and distinct odor throughout. We had reserved a non-smoking room, but it took four "non-smoking" rooms to find one that was passable. The room was clean, but that's really the only good thing we can say about the Regency. We were "greeted" by a receptionist who was too busy bantering with a young man doing a minor repair on the front desk to notice our presence until we spoke to her. Then, unable to find our reservation in the stack of print-outs which she tossed about willy-nilly, […] she slapped a blank form on the desk for us to fill out, while continuing to chat with the repairman and laugh semi-hysterically. The hall on the way to our room smelled of stale smoke, even though all the rooms on our corridor were supposedly non-smoking. The room itself did not smell. However, the bathroom door could be closed & opened only with difficulty, and quite noisily. The air conditioning unit cycled very loudly on and off every few minutes. I suppose we could have made it stay on longer by setting the temperature down to 55 or so, but we hadn't thought to bring winter coats with us since it was July. Did not make for a restful sleep. The breakfast buffet was stingy and of mediocre quality. Three types of cold cereal, a few varieties of mini-muffins, mini chocolate-covered donuts and I believe extra-bland, white-bread bagels were the food choices. The only juice was orange-flavored Hawaiian Punch. All in all, even getting a very low rate, the Regency was overpriced, and I would advise against staying there if at all possible. Læs mere

My group stayed for one night and had a competition the following morning. Meanwhile there was a huge woman's birthday party with male strippers and the "staging room" was next to us. They used the only unoccupied room for that because the toilet was busted.....A warning of such an event would have been appreciated.

Nice Staff. Dark room with poorly patched sheet rock in the bathroom ceiling. No Internet in the room i was given. When I went out into the common area to check my e-mail there was some big critter cavorting across the ceiling tiles. Patio doors taped shut. Heater/air conditioner was neither.

the room literally smelled like stale alcohol and cigarettes. it was the worst smell i have ever experienced in a hotel room...and i've stayed in hotels in poverty stricken portions of Africa. Do not stay here. suck it up and pay another 50 to stay somewhere else.

This was the WORSThotel I have ever stayed at. The conditions were by far the worst I have ever seen. There was MOLD on the ceilings, the carpet was filthy, and the mattress' were completely worn out. There was rotten wood from water damage around the heating unit that was just laying on top of it. Then there were the ants. I looked in the garbage can […] in the morning only to find it full of ants on the trash I threw out the night before. Also the hotel is located next to a very busy road with trucks running by all night. The staff was friendly and helpfull, but what a dump. Dont be fooled by the nice pictures, they must have taken them 20 years ago. Spend a couple more bucks and stay at a hotel, not a building that should be demolished!!!! Læs mere

Location was convenient for me and my stay was very quiet and relaxing. Great price for good quality! I enjoyed my stay overall!

Check in was fine and staff was helpful. However, the room was very tired. Heating system worked but very smelly so we turned it off suffered through a cool night. The continental breakfast had expired bagels and bread by over a week and NO JUICE for the kids. Made me wonder why the motel staff ate breakfast in the same dining room as the guests, but […] their breakfast was bought from another restuaurant or truck stop. Thank goodness we paid as little as wee did for the night. The room provided us a place to crash for the night so I guess it served its purpose.... Hey it was'nt like I was expecting treatment like at 5 star. I guess the only disappointment was that we had to spend another $20 for breakfast @ a fast food chain in a service area on the i87.... This was, by far, the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in.

Customer service was excellent. nice and warm room. Bedsheets were old and dirty and forgot to put sheet on the second bed in the room.

This hotel has seen better days. They only have 3 people on staff at any time since they don't have more than 2-3 people staying overnight. There is a lot of potential but I think until they can invest more in the business, this place will only be going down. In short, it is a big hotel but feels like an old, run-down motel.

We'd read mixed reviews about this hotel and dismissed some of the negative ones as travelers who liked to complain. Well, it turns out that many of those complaints were true. The mattress is more like a trampoline (hard but bouncy), the condition and cleanliness of the bathroom is mediocre (chunks of plaster actually fell from the ceiling into the […] tub during our stay), and service is lackluster (when I called to ask for more towels, they informed me that I could pick them up at the front desk). The fact that you can enter the hotel through several unlocked doors rather than entering through the front where someone is watching is a little unnerving, too. The walls are thin, too, so if any of your neighbors are fighting, you'll hear it, too. A few bright spots: the gym next door is larger than most hotel gyms but you'll have to walk outside to use it. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that our room had a mini fridge for no extra cost and that after I left a pair of shoes in the room after checkout, the front desk called me so I could have a relative pick them up (I'd left a message and figured the shoes were gone for good). Still, it's not in great condition and feels a pretty seedy. Læs mere

I used to work in a national mid-range hotel, so I understand the business from an "insider" point-of-view, and I am unsure how this hotel passed inspection. Upon entering the room, I was surprised to see that one of the beds appeared slept-in, there was a Chinese food menu on the desk as well as a key (not mine) to the room. The bathroom looked cursorily […] cleaned, if at all - including the shower. The television remote did not work, and the hotel itself showed many signs of wear. I'm wondering if the hotel is going through new management, but, if so, it is a poor excuse for the condition of the hotel. The breakfast was simple - cereal, bagels (no cream cheese), toast, coffee, juice, and pastries. Admittedly, I only booked this hotel because it was the cheapest that I found. In other words, I knew was I was getting myself into, and even then I was let down. I would not recommend families to stay there, nor children, but it depends on what you're wanting out of a hotel and what your standards are. For me, a bachelor male on a budget, it worked out okay, but I would not recommend this hotel to anybody after having stayed there. This hotel exemplifies the adage, "You get what you pay for." The room was large but everything else missed on this place: from the non-smoking room that smelled like smoke to the moldy bathroom. The "security" didn't work on the outer door and our room was missing a room number. The list could go on but you get the idea. Perhaps the other buildings are nicer but we'd never go back here to find out!
