One block from bourbon street yet quiet at night when sleeping. Nice staff! Valet parking was expensive! The pool was nice-great courtyard! I prepaid for breakfast but I wouldn't do that again because there are many local places to eat breakfast. Cafe dumond for example. All and all I would stay here again. Room 406 was wonderful!! this is a great hotel for location. quiet, but in the french quarter. great value for the price especially considering the parking. the pool is lovely in the courtyard, but beware, it also appears to be the smoking area, and most everyone who came out was a smoker. would stay again. valet very friendly and helpful.

This was a great hotel, right in the middle of the French Quarter. I wish there had been more channels on TV but since I didn't travel to New Orleans to watch cable, it was no big deal.

everything was good, bathroom very small, ask for non-smoking did not get it, parking price was really high

IN the craziness of Mardi Gras everyone at the hotel was fantastic, polite, courteous, thoughtful, thankful, and smiling. Ive stayed and traveled to NO many times and stayed in many hotels and this one was the best!

We stayed at this hotel over Mardi Gras, and I had lowered my expectations of the hotel because when it's Mardi Gras and the crowds are heavy and drunk, I allow that a hotel might get a little too messy, a little too loud, a little too abrupt in service. My worries were unnecessary. The Holiday Inn on Dauphine ran like clockwork. Guests were issued […] wristbands so random drunks weren't trashing the lobby. Valet parking was located right across the street so I didn't worry about pulling my car during a parade and being unable to access it. Rooms were promptly cleaned. Service was prompt and never backed up. Everyone was polite even when they had every right to be weary. It was really a lovely stay. One thing I especially liked was that, given the number of hotels who have performed cheap and sometimes shoddy renovations post-Katrina, this one maintained solid craftsmanship. That doesn't mean we were in the most luxurious of suites; it simply means that it's nice not to bathe in a plastic tub or be hit with glaring, cheap decor that just feels tacky when it's supposed to feel sumptuous. This place feels like New Orleans, in a good sense. I would definitely stay here again. My only issue is that we were in Room 200, which is the room right overlooking the entrance. At Mardi Gras time, that meant very loud people at all hours of the night entering and exiting the hotel or just partying in the streets. I enjoy the fun as much as the next person, but I also enjoy sleep and the noise was disruptive. It wasn't the hotel's fault or any factor the hotel could control by any means. To future guests, though, I would advise avoiding the street view when staying at this hotel or any others in the same area during event weekends. We enjoyed eating at the Deja Vu right on the corner, open 24/7, and functioning as both a comfortable neighborhood bar and a restaurant that will gladly serve a late-night burger after an evening of drinking or a morning breakfast at the start of the day. Wonderful location. We booked late and had no choice of smoking or non smoking, so the room smelled of smoke. Overall we had agood timeand the hotel was average. Mardi Gras Was going on and lots of people in and out. Security was good, we had to wear arm bands and they had security that did notice when we went in and out. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.the room we had was huge and great for the price.being that close to bourbon street was ideal so we didn't have to spend money on a rental car.I would definitely stay here again.

Reasonably priced and right around the corner from Bourbon Street. Beautiful courtyard and pool. Decent hotel bar and breakfast service.

People there were so kind. Brought my 5 year son and they made sure he got to see the turtles. He loved them. I however left my phone charger there and I knew where I left it but they mysteriously couldn't find it..hmm

Air conditioner unit was VERY LOUD. Pool was not heated. Room looked at a wall. Parking costs extra very expensive! :( Decent location.

Holiday Inn FRENCH QUARTER-CHATEAU LEMOYNE 301 Rue Dauphine has a great location and is a hidden gem in New Orleans. The staff is wonderful . We had a great time.

Beautiful hotel convenient to everything you could want to do in the French Quarter and surrounding areas. Hotel staff was amazing, VERY friendly and helpful and willing to go that extra mile to make my stay wonderful!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone contemplating lodging in or near the French Quarter!

Great Location. Parking is too expensive, we parked in the surrounding neighborhoods for free. Besides that, service was great but they ran out of toothpaste, no microwaves available unless you catch the bartender.

Okay hotel in a quiet part of French Quarter, but close to everything. The room was clean and the beds were great. Note that "Breakfast included" means a coupon for $20 per room, and the restaurant has an extravagant but expensive menu. Go to Alan the concierge for tips about the city and trips around the area.

The Chateau Le Moyne is a Holiday Inn property. As with most Holiday Inn's, you can expect a decent stay without a lot of frills or foul ups. It was a good, clean hotel. It wasn't fancy, but that's ok. It's New Orleans and I didn't want fancy. The location was nice (1 block off of Bourbon St. without the noise, crowds, or congestion). This is not at all what I would call a "Holiday Inn". If you are looking to stay in a nice hotel with New Orleans charm, this is a great place. The room was nice. Had high ceilings and floor to ceiling window (like the architecture of the French Quarter). The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. Just a block away from Bourbon street but no noise issues. […] And just a couple blocks from the trolley (that takes you to the garden district or the city park). Got a good price for the area. The main selling point of this hotel is that it is VERY conveniently located in the heart of the French Quarter, just a block away from Bourbon Street and lots of great restaurants. But it is an older hotel, and the rooms lack the conveniences that you might expect in a Holiday Inn, such as no microwave, refrigerator, etc. The place has a moderately […] rundown feel to it. The housekeepers do a good job. But the valet service was atrocious. When we needed our car, the wait was up to half an hour, even with only one or two people ahead of us, and a parking lot right across the street. The valet parking service is mandatory and extremely expensive, but it you want to stay in the French Quarter you are probably going to pay a lot for parking anywhere. Læs mere

The Hotel was excellent Great Staff were very helpful and told us where to and where not to go in the area. Dauphine Street was one street back from Bourbon Street which was fabulous and very safe to walk back to the hotel when it got dark. I would highly recommend.

Great Location ! 1 block from Bourbon and quiet. Only inconvenience, took a while to check in & out Hotel needs 2 people working front desk at all times especially on Saints home games!

If you want to be near the French Quarter then this is ideal. The pool was great and after a few hours walking around, its nice to know the pool is there for a quick dip. Only gripe I have is the restaurant on site. We went in, stood there at the door for a minute or so, a woman with red hair came over and as she was just about to show us to a table, […] she noticed one of her regulars was behind us. In a flash we were ignored and the 'regular' was seated whilst we stood there looking at each other in amazement. She was over him like a rash, she must be getting a tip from him. In the end another person came along and showed us to a table. We ordered 2 eggs, 2 sausages, potatoes, 2 pieces of toast, 1 orange juice and a coffee. The bill came to just under $40 in total. A small orange juice was $2.95. We also used this restaurant on the morning we were leaving as we didn't have much time. We were told we could have the breakfast buffet at $13 each. So we got a plate of food and sat back down. The food wasn't even luke warm, its one of the most basic and cold breakfast buffets we've ever had. We complained to the Manager, did we get an apology? Nope! A few minutes later, one of the waiters came over and said "are you the english?" we said yes and told the waiter we were not having the buffet as it was cold, so we ordered a fresh breakfast, that took about 10 mins and when it came out, they gave me fried eggs and not scrambled (which I asked for). Good location and far enough from bourbon street so you didnt hear all the noise. Walking distance to everything. Beds too small. Two queens would fit in the room rather than doubles.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Very close to all the action, Bourbon Street, Canal Street and a quick trolley ride down to the River View Walk. We initially were assigned a room that was obviously a smoking room, and when asked to be moved to a non-smoking room, the staff were very accomodating, pleasant and helpful. This Holiday Inn maintains the French Quarter feel via the courtyard with the pool. It is quite lovely and comfortable. Some of the rooms even have French windows that open onto the courtyard. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The rooms seem to be beautifully maintained and very clean. We enjoyed the location as it is in the Quarter but w/o most […] of the chaos. Next time we would find another place to leave our car (or not drive) as to park at the hotel is VERY pricey. Læs mere

The main discomfort was finding a working ice machine. My room was on the 5th floor and just to get ice I would have to travel down to the 2nd if not the main floor because the ice machines on the the previous floors were either empty or didn't even work...

My first visit and so impressed. Hotel is lovely, quaint but modern seems so out of place in the streets of the French Quarter. Staff helpful and friendly. 2 minutes from Bourbon and it's over the top tack so close to the action without it's noise invading the peacefulness of the enclosed courtyards and pool. We stayed for one night on a Thursday for a concert and overall was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel appearance was very nice and the pool area was very peaceful. Our room was very clean and very well lit with ceiling to floor windows facing the street. The drapes could be opened for lots […] of light, or closed for a dark room in the middle of the day if you like. Bathroom was very clean, flatscreen tv came w/ a little card so you could find channels with ease. The hotel is centrally located to lots of nice restaurants within walking distance if you desire not to pay for parking everywhere you go. The hotel is about a mile away from the Superdome and New Orleans arena if you are staying for a concert or sporting event, so either bring your walking shoes or grab a taxi cause its a little walk. If there was any complaint, At about 4:00 in the morning, there was a loud machine of some sort that ran for about 30 minutes that woke us. It was either a vacuum for downstairs or a pressure washer washing the side of the building or streets. Regardless, it was noisy enough to wake me and I couldn't fall back asleep until it was shut off. Due to the fact that our room faced the street, I also could see how on a weekend or during a special event with lots of tourists, that this could be a noisier side of the hotel....would I stay there again?, absolutely. This is one of the better places I have stayed over there. One minus is the parking is a little expensive across the street, but if you don't have a ton of bags, there is lots of cheaper parking not too far away. Bottom line, I would stay here again..definitely was worth the price, was clean, and friendly staff. Læs mere

Stayed five nights there during Tropical Storm Lee. It rained four and a half days-15 inches. My room on the top floor (5) stayed dry. The hallway, though, had multiple leaks. The building was in pretty good condition other than that and quite clean. Overall the stay was pleasant and I would come back, preferably in better weather.
