Hotellet var rigtig fin med gode senge og en lækre morgenmads buffet. Beliggenheden var lige i centrum og kun få meter fra strøget i Glasgow.

Morgenmaden var væsentlig bedre end forventet, efter andre oplevelser med britisk morgenmad. Der er pænt og rent. Stort flot fjernsyn Personalet generelt venlige. Trafikstøj i værelset mod vej. Kunne afhjælpes noget med nye vinduer, som virker noget skrøbelige. Stort fint badeværelse med badekar. Dobbeltsengen var lige den mindste og med kun en madras. Vi bad om ekstra lagen og tæppe, Fik vi straks Ingen elevator, så hotellet er ikke for alt for gangbesværede.

"Fint hotel lidt på yderkanten af Glasgow"
Vi valgte Mariott fordi der generelt er en kvalitet man kan forvente ift. internationale hotelkæder. Hotellet er som sådan også fint med super morgenmadsbuffet, tilknyttet fitnesscenter og swimmingpool (lille men brugbar) som kan benyttes af gæsterne. Hotellet bærer dog præg af noget slittage og stilmæssigt lidt forældet. Værelset vi fik med King Size […] seng var udemærke, men måske lige småt nok. Største kritikpunkt er lokation, da hotellet ligger for enden af Argyle Street og dermed i yderkanten af Glasgow, i et noget nedslidt område (f.eks. bagsiden af hotellet op mod nogle tomme pladser. Det tager måske 10 minutter at gå ind til selve centrum af Glasgow (ift. forretninger med mere). Men hvis man efterspørger et hotel af en relativ god international standard er hotellet fint. Læs mere

"Excellent location if you're driving into Glasgow"
Overall a very good hotel. No complaints. Service was great. Breakfast was lovely. Have stayed in 4 and 5 stars in Glasgow. This was definitely one of the better 4 stars. Ask for a room that's higher up in the building as I could hear a bit of the traffic and I was on floor 6 out of 10.

Nice hotel,comfortable rooms,did find it hard to get a taxi to where our party wanted to go on the saturday evening.

i was abit disappointed at the pool area there was no fresh water, which is needed in sauna&steam rooms. and there was no disabled access getting to and from the pool.also there was a piece of chewing gum on the side of the pool. but just to say on a positive note cant fault hotel it was comfortable&staff helpful.

Stayed here for a work's party in Feb 12. Despite the fact the hotel seemed pretty busy the room was very quiet. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was good. The area immediately around the Marriott is basically motorway and underpasses, with a 10 minute walk into the daylight... so it loses a star for location, although as I was there for a party […] I didn't go out much anyway. This was a stay due to SECC concert and the hotel looked lovely and clean. Room 110 was opposite building works in the hotel and the floor had plastic sheet on it. Not exactly 4* comfort, room was lacking basic upkeep and bedding was marked. Biggest issue was an air lock in the heating system so no room heating and they were fully booked so no other […] alternatives. I am now still abscent from work after picking up a chill due to their negligence. My pregnant wife faired slightly better and managed 8 hours sleep to my 4/5 hours. Hotel was lovely and staff very courteous. Very comfortable. Leisure facilities difficult to access from the main hotel with lots of stairs - could be a problem if any mobility issues. No jacuzzi.

4* hotel now showing signs of neglect. Various building repairs have been there for some time but I still stay here because it's a comfortable and quiet hotel. Wasn't that easy to get to, found it quick enough but did 3 laps of the orbital road/town centre to get to the right road to the hotel. Good reception service, comfortable room on the 5th floor but the fridge was not in service, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and the ice cube machine and snack vending machine was out of order. "Lacking those special touches"
Firstly, the positive-the hotel staff are delightful, very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, this hotel has minor irritations, which started to add up. For a start one of this lifts was broken. This meant a long wait for the lift and then when it did arrive is was packed full-rather cosy for my liking. Then it […] took about 15 minutes of wandering about (using the stairs due to the overcrowded lift) so I could find a working ice machine to chill my bottle of white wine! I was sharing with my daughter and we both had large double beds, which were very comfortable. Unfortunately, we were woken at 1.30am by noisy guests slamming doors and chatting until 2am. Also it is very stuffy in the room and the window only opens a fraction. I was also looking forward to using the leisure facilities but was disappointed to find that there was no hot tub/jacuzzi and this was primarilly the reason why I booked this hotel. Saying that the pool was pleasant and very clean. We did enjoy our stay but these small touches help to elevate it from a pleasant enough trip to a fantastic stay. Læs mere

Only downsides, were slow check in, though I suspect it was a trainee member of staff, which is understandable, and heating/air con control in our room didn't work. The Marriott is a good quality hotel with excellent, efficient service, 10 min walk from Glasgow city centre. Our room was lovely and meals were good value. We had a great time in the city and particularly enjoyed the fantastic museums and galleries.

All that could be asked for during our stay was covered off. Reception was friendly, parking was fine, lifts all in working order, room was perfect, breakfast was good, checkout was quick and all staff were courteous and friendly. First time staying at Marriott, I will be back for another stay, hotel spotlessly clean, room very comfortable. Very civilised breakfast time, up to midday, which is great at the weekend, although I do believe that this was because the hotel was very busy. A great choice at breakfast. First time at this hotel. Got good discounted rate. Room big with king size comfy bed. TV was on with personal welcome message, nice touch. Bathroom fair size. Shower not that powerful but served the purpose. Hot & cold buffet breakfast served until 1200 in bright dining room. Staff very polite & helpful. Approx 10 min walk to Argyle Street. I chose this hotel for the price, but it turned out to be a good choice for many reasons. It was clean, quiet, and the service was excellent. Of particular note was the helpful concierge desk - our stay was wonderful in part due to their guidance. Rooms were larger than standard UK rooms - nicely decorated and very comfortable. Hotel sits back off the […] main road and made for quiet sleeping. Cons: a little off the beaten path. Although the tour buses come right in front of the hotel, you should plan to walk quite a bit to get to anything. It would be difficult to stay here and not use the red-bus, subway (which we never used) or taxi. Overall - a nice place to stay. I'd lodge here again if returning to Glasgow.
