Clarion Inn & Conference Center - Hudson

Strong Cigarette Odor in lobby and first floor corridor. My throat was burning and sinuses got irritated.

Close to interstate, some recent changes to intersate exit confused my GPS but easy to find. Breakfast service first class, not the usual buffet! Bar food reasonably priced and good quality. Easy drive from CLE. Will stay again on my next trip.

Traveling thru the Cleveland area and my wife was hesitant to book me this 2 star - what a deal - hot breakfast, great quality accommodations and CLEAN, impressed my 11 year old daughter as well.

Very close to eateries and shopping!!

The hotel reminded me of the movie "the shining" There was virtually no other guests staying there and it had these really long hallways and had a deserted feel to it. There were no outlets to near the desk to plug my computer in so I had to set up the iron board for a makeshift desk.

Finding it is definitely a challenge due to loss of freeway exit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms did have an excessive perfume or Febreeze like smell that was overwhelming. I have allergies and the room was almost unbearable.

One positive thing about staying in this hotel is the friendliness of the staff, but that's about it. The room was dirty. There were crumbs in my bed, two black ants crawling on the wall, urine in the toilet, and the floor was sticky. They did move us to another room, but would not stay there ever again.

This hotel was not near any restaurants at all. The stairways smelled awful and you had to walk a mile to get to anything. My room was supposed to have a fridge and microwave and we had neither, very inconvenient when you have a 7 month old. The pool was very cold and unkept, very cloudy, and in some serious need of chemicals. The bathroom is very small. […] Dogs were barking at all hours of the night. This is a very busy place and very noisy. We had to lug our things up the stairs. We arrived late and we were very tired. Never head of an INSIDE hotel not having an elevator. We had that happen 3 times on our trip out West.

We needed a place to stay close to Hudson and the Clarion was perfect. Yes, it is a little older than the new upscale hotels but the staff was awesome and it had a hometown feel. The pool/hot-tub was great and the breakfast buffet was perfect! We will for sure be back!!

It is the worst hotel ever. It is like a cheap motel. The room has a musty smell and amenities are old. I definitely do not reccomend it.

I picked this hotel because of business I had in Hudson, Ohio and since I was unfamiliar with the area, it seemed like the logical choice. Although an earlier review of this hotel described it as "creepy" I assumed that it's recent "renovation" would have changed that feeling....I was wrong. Upon arriving to this rather large complex in the middle […] of nowhere (still can't figure out why such a large place was built in the middle of nowhere?) I was relegated to a room in the back of the hotel behind the turnpike, despite the fact that the hotel was nearly empty of occupants. The common areas of the hotel were cold and drafty and kept at about 55-60 degrees (I assume to save money.) Although it looked clean, the room has the musty smell of a room that doesn't get rented out much. The caulking in the tub was old, cracked and peeling from the wall. The chrome tissue box cover in the bathroom was beat up and rusty. Of the 4 lamps that were in the room, only one of them had a working light bulb, so the darkness of the room only added to the dank atmosphere. The drapery rod was broken and the curtains would not close completely, so the lights of the highway provided a constant light show all night long. Unless you desperate or caught in a blizzard on the turnpike, stay somewhere else. Læs mere
