Was afraid this was not the right choice of hotel after reading some of the reviews. But I can honestly say, that this is a very nice hotel, the service was good, the rooms clean, and yes, you do have to pay for valet parking, but you always do in 4 and 5 stars hotels.

"very convenient to i-95"
The location is very convenient to i-95 and there are plenty of restaurants and gas stations in the vicinity. The hotel employees were very nice and accomodating. The room was small but clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was alright, just the basics. Overall, for the price, it was a good value.

I want to report that the gentleman at the desk when we checked in was the best. We do not know his name but he works part time and is a music teacher at a local middle school. You have a valuable employee there. We stayed Sunday, 4/8/2012

The windows had sheer white curtains on them that you could see through, especially at night.

"La Quinta, Savannah I - 95"
The one negative experience we had was in the checking in process. The desk clerk was rude and barely speaking to us; she sent us to a room that was not clean (beds unmade, trash and dishes all over the place). When we returned to the front desk to ask for another room, she didn't apologize or anything. In fact, she left us, and several other guests […] alone at the front desk while she went out of the building to talk (I presume) to housekeeping. After we were given a clean room, everything else went smoothly, except that same desk clerk had us entered as staying one night and we were temporarily locked out of our room the next day! "Slept Great but with No Bathroom Light!!!"
My only complaint was that I told front desk about the light in bathroom did not work and it was not a regular lightbulb that I could change myself so during the night we had to leave bathroom door open to see and in the early morning which was unfortable to use bathroom with door open especially when you came with a group and we were in and out of […] each others rooms. "Would do again"
Overall a great hotel. Easy to find and good restaurants nearby. Busy road its nearby so ask for a room at the rear to avoid the noise. Room was quite comfortable and free breakfast was filling. Would stay again if had the opportunity.

This is the third time at this hotel for us. Very friendly and helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast was very nice. Good room and pool (although too cold to swim at the time of year we stayed). Several good restaurants nearby. We'll be back!
"Not a great place"
For the money, it was ok. The guy that worked the front desk was TERRIFIC! Very professional and helpful. Too bad the hotel is dumpy - especially from the outside. Not as bad inside but hair on the bathroom floor! Yuk.

Wonderfully easy to find. Excellent service from reservation to check-out. Very clean, spacious and they give discount on local restaurant for dinner. Would definitely recommend!

"Good rate, clean room, good location"
Nearly everything about this LaQuinta is very good and we would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would do differently on my next visit to Savannah is to request a room at the back of the motel on the first floor. There is too much highway traffic noise, and if you like to sleep in as we do when we travel, there is too much noise from the […] people checking out early going up and down the stairway. "Did not like as much as Brunswick La Quinta"
The room seemed nicer in Brunswick than in Savannah. Both were dog friendly for our yorkies.

Outside of hotel needs definite make-over. Old and dirty. Room was clean and up to date.
"Will not stay here again"
The desk in the room had tiny nails sticking out of the front of the desk. This could have easily caused at best damage to cloths and at worst a scratch or puncture to the skin. Everything else was OK.

This hotel was in a great location and the staff that I encountered was nice. The room was clean, as well as neat. The only thing we could've used was a refrigerator and microwave (these were not in the room). But overall, we had no complaints and everything was in good standing. I would stay again and recommend!

"Great place for the price!"
I have stayed at many hotels and the comfort of this room was was great. After driving 10 hours, I was ready for a hot shower and a comfortable bed. When I got there, my original room was not cleaned yet (I did arrive right at 3pm) so I was offered another room before I even asked them if I could be moved. The room was great and there were many restaurants […] in the area that deliver so I did not have to leave again which was even better. I really wanted to go to the outlet mall across the street but decided to stay in and watch TV on the big, flat screen. Breakfast the next morning was great but it was very packed in there. Sent to room. Maid was still cleaning. Given new room. Door to room needed to be painted. Property is old. Stay at Wingate across street. Much nicer. Room was clean but I just didnt feel safe. I normally stay in hotels. I thought all LaQuintas were indoor rooms. But this was a motel. Didnt know that from the pics.

"too much $ for so little"
It was no deal at all. The room was so poorly appointed, the the window treatments were about 4 inches less wide than the windows, so the curtains didn't cover them. And the shades had large holes in them. it was very cheap, and I will probably not ever stay in a La Quinta hotel again.

THE ROOM DID NOT HAVE A REFRIDGIRATOR OR MICROWAVE OVEN, IT WAS NOT CLEANED BECAUSE THE PERSON RESPONSIBILE FOR CLEANING IT DETERMINED THAT THERE WERE TOO MANY OF MY ITEMS LEFT IN HER WAY. WHEN I ASKED WHAT ITEMS, I WAS TOLD "NEWS PAPERS ON THE BED. "Disgusting!!!"
This is a very dirty hotel. From the second I walked in my room I was disappointed. It smelt like pee. There were pubic hairs on the tub edge, crumbs in my bed as if the bedding hadn't been changed in months and someone had lunch in there. The towels were dingy and scratchy. "La Quinta in Savannah Ga."
We should have realized that this was not the best place to stay when we seen not one but two police cars parked in the parking lot to help the place safe. Then we walked into the room and the carpet was filthy dirty. The pool is not the one pictured on the web. It had major cracks and huge chips out of the pool steps. Sharp edges not good for bare […] feet. There were ash trays around the pool that were not cleaned for days. My advice don't go there. "Decident"
The hotel was decident. It had a good breakfast and the swimming pool was nice. It is a little small for three kids but overall was satisfied with the room and location

Very poor condition of hotel. Exterior dirty. Ice machines in back of hotel did not work. Doors and door frames were old and not in good condition. Had to put a chair up against lock to feel secure. Staff was very nice and did everything to try to make things better. would never stay there again.

I liked everything about the hotel and the room except the fact that it did not have a small fridge or microwave. I have a baby and it would have been easier to have a place to storage milk and warm it up. Other than that the service was great, the room was clean and the location was great
"South Savannah Hotel"
The hotel was nice....rooms a bit small but beds nice and comfy. The hotel seemed a bit dirty overall, but nothing specific. It was a lot further from Historic Savannah than I had expected, and once there, quickly realized that there were other hotels that were less expensive with the same perks like free breakfast.

"A "OK" stay"
Well I just checked out this hotel, It wasn't a awesome experience just OK ill break down my review in pros and cons Pro's-Its right by I95 , its near a shopping center, hotel staff is great, has a pool, and great breakfast, room is neat,nice pillows Con's- outdoor access to room, kinda smelled like chlorine when you 1st walk in, toilet wasn't clean,room […] is small, furniture VERY OUTDATED it wasent a bad stay but had I known the condition of the room I would not have stayed with there being so many other near by selections but hey you get what you pay for! The only thing that bothered me was that the pool had to have chemicals put in it and would not be ready until 11:00 and check-out was 12:00 noon so no time to swim before my drive.

The hotel room was very clean. The receptionist was very nice and quickly checked me in. It is not too far from Downtown Savannah.
